~a month later~
I'm helping Penelope plan for the wedding.
Even though she doesn't want to marry him & my feelings are hurt a bit.
I sit down in a chair that's outside of the dressing room.
I wait for the princess to come out to show me one of the dresses.
Now Jack couldn't come for this & since he couldn't.
His mom replaced him.
I heard a lecture from her as she drove to here.
About how family traditions are essentials in the Gilinsky Family.
It was getting me annoyed after a while.
Especially when she took a jab at me for being pregnant & not married.
It wasn't my fault..although I didn't plan this right now.
I'm pregnant & I love my little baby that's growing inside me everyday.
I grow closer to it more & more as the days go by...
Penelope keeps apologizing to me for the plan the queen wants to do.
For me to hand my baby over to her & Penelope will be the legal mother of it.
I don't want to do it.
But it's like I have a gun at my head.
I'm helpless at this point.
All my feelings for Jack are still visible to his mother.
So she keeps me away from him.
Penelope started meeting Johnson in private & they seem to hit it off.
But once again..I'm here stuck in a royal mess.
I rub my very visible growing belly & I look in the mirror.
"All this fuss for you my love." I say running my fingers across it
"Mani? Will you be going to the big Masquerade Ball? It's happening tonight. It happens every first of September." She says
"Yeah sure..but I have nothing to wear." I say frowning
She hugs me & looks at my belly
"Don't worry..lucky for you..you got me!" She says & drags me into her room.
She calls her tailor & she measures me.
After that..she leaves with the tailor & I'm sitting on her bed.
For what seemed a long time & she comes to me with a dress.
"How's this?" She asks me
I look at it & I'm in awe.
"I love it" I say looking at every single laced detail.
"She's the best isn't she?" She says referring to the tailor
"Yes she's amazing" I say
"Well..I'll see you then..btw I left a masquerade mask for you on your nightstand. It's not a masquerade ball without the mask!" She says smiling & I walk over to my room.
With my dress in my hands & I turn on my bedroom light.
I see the mask sitting right on top of my nightstand like she said.
I smirk & lay the dress very carefully on the bed.
I walk over to the bathroom.
I climb into the shower & I undress myself.
I turn on the water & I let it run over my body.
The cool water hitting my body feels so nice.
I wash my hair with a lotus shampoo.
That Penelope got me..
I rinse it out & dry myself off.
I dry my hair with my blow dryer & I play music in the bathroom.
I start humming to the music & fixing my hair.
I take my flat iron & I slowly start straightening my hair.
~after a while~
I walk out of the bathroom in my black lace ballgown.
It has lace sleeves & it has a beautiful train..
that trails right behind me..
I slip on my black heels that I adore.
I start doing my makeup..
I do a black smokey eye..which looks oddly sexy on me.
It's weird how back home..
I used to look like a raccoon after doing this eye look.
But over here it looks perfect.
I have so much time on my hands.
that I use the free time to practice makeup on myself..
I walk out of the bathroom & I grab my purse.
I place my iPhone in the pockets & I place a mint in my mouth.
I walk out of my room to find Penelope waiting for me.
"Get your mask woman! We have to go now!" She says rushing me
I walk over to my nightstand & I look down at the mask.

I put the mask on & I feel so mysterious for the first time.
No one will see my face.
No one knows my name.
No one will remember me..because I'm wearing a mask like everyone else.
It's easy to lose me in the crowd.
I walk back over to her & she squeals
"You look sexy!" She says & drags me outside.
"Lets go!!" She adds & we get in the limo..
~after a while~
I walk into a huge center & there's red velvet ropes everywhere.
Penelope walks up to the security guard & he quickly recognizes her.
He lets her in & stops me from entering..
She speaks up from behind him.
"That's my friend." She says
"Sorry your royal highness.." the security guard says & lets me in..
I walk with her holding hands.
"Jack's here..he said he's wearing a gray mask with silver beads going around his eyes" she says as we search for him.
"Good news Johnson is here!" She adds
"Oh..how are you gonna?-"
"We'll meet up & sneak away from everyone." She says blushing
"But isn't that hard when your royalty?" I ask her
"Not when everyone has white wine in their system..I forgot to mention everyone drinks here like there's no tomorrow!" She says giggling
I gasp
"Omg no..I have to watch myself then" I say giggling & we stay together..
As we walk together holding hands..
She spots Jack & I see him too.
It's hard since I can only see his eyes..but his jawline is so sharp.
You can see that thing in space.
We walk over to him & she cuddles up on him when the press gathers around us.
They take pictures & walk off..
Jack pulls me away from everyone..
We're outside now & I'm sitting on a bench.
The fall breeze blows by me & I feel goosebumps on my skin.
He takes off his jacket & places it over me.
"I will not let the mother of my child freeze" he says & sits next to me.
"Jack what are we?" I ask him
"Huh?" He lets out
"What are we? If you & Penelope are in love. I shouldn't be breaking it up." I say
"Your not because I don't love her & she probably doesn't me." He says
"Probably?" I say frowning
"Jack..if she didn't love you & you didn't love her. You both would've stood up to your parents & fought against them. Then you both wouldn't get married. Now the clock is ticking..5 months to go & your married kiddo." I say & get up from the bench
"But wait..mani." He says grabbing my arm
I push his hand away & hand him his jacket back..
"I appreciate you & Penelope being so kind. But I must go now." I say & walk back inside.
I walk out without Penelope noticing & I walk back to the palace.
In the bitter cold & I start packing my bags.
Since the queen is at the gala event.
I finally can escape...
I rush down the stairs & Rip sees me.
"Your leaving madam?" He asks me
I nod tearing up..
