Day 1

Romans POV

Beep! Beep! Be-

I groan and slam my hand down on the electric alarm clock next to me,confused,I didn't remember buying an alarm clock.

I turn to my right only to not be greeted by my marvelous Disney posters, but to a blank, tan colored wall.

I suddenly remembered the events of yesterday, excitement taking the place of what was once curiosity.

I hop out of bed and sprint to Virgil's. He was, unsurprisingly ,still sleeping. "VIRGIL! GET UP! C'MON!" I shout and pull him out of his bed and into the bathroom. "Ro,wha...?" Virgil mutters as I leave him in the bathroom.I shuffle through the closet excitedly, attempting to find the perfect outfit.

I flung the bathroom door and showed him two dresses, one being a light lavender, the other being a dark purple with black lace on the hem of it. "Okay, which one? I think the lavender is very eye catching and pleasing to the eyes, but the second is just more....you." I proposed. Virgil sheepishly pointed to the second. I smiled wildly and thrust the dress, padded bra,and heels into his hands,as he looked up in disgust. "Nuh uh,no way in hell Im putting on heels." He said,I groan in annoyance while I took the heels and closed the door.

After few minutes I heard him call from behind the door, "Uhhh,Roman? I don't think I did this right....". I opened the door to see Virgil wearing the dress backwards, and the bra inside out. I facepalmed and look at him. Virgil giggled nervously as I sighed. "Alright, I guess I'll have to do this for you." I deadpanned. "Let's start off with the whole dress situation". Virgil nodded and started to take off the gown while I covered my eyes. "Good, now turn around" I said. Virgil laughed, "Why? We're both dudes you know." Virgil chuckled. "My homosexual eyes cannot bear the sight of someone in a bra, so turn around" I said. Virgil started to die laughing as he turned around. "Whatever you say, princey." He joked.

I uncovered my eyes and fixed up the padded bra Virgil had failed so miserably to put on. I grabbed the dress and handed it toward him. He quickly changed into it before I tied the small strings at the back. I spoke, "Okay, now that we have that, I think it would be best if we-" "No." Virgil deadpanned. "What? You didn't even hear me." I whined, "I know what you were going to say, and no. You can't make me wear makeup." He groaned, "I let you yesterday but not today."

I pouted, before grabbing his hand, and pulling him out the door. "Well either way, you have to talk to Logan. It's what we came here for, and you two are simply meant to be~" I sung. Virgil laughed, and looked down. I smiled warmly and talked to him. "Virgil, you have known Logan for years. It will all be fine" "What if he forgot about me, Ro? W-What if he hates me and-" He rambled before I suddenly held a finger in front of him. "Remind me, Virge, what was one of the last things he said to you before he was ripped away from you?" I asked, Virgil mumbled meekly. "Virgil, I can't hear you~!" I teased. "'I'll never forget you'...!" Virgil said.

"Good, now go get him, boy!" I cheered with a pat to his back. Virgil nodded and walked downstairs to the dining room.

I smiled and walked away.

Logan's POV

I waved farewell to Patton as I made my way down the hallway, book kept firmly underneath my arm. The tile glistened beautifully underneath the bright chandelier, as opened it and began to read. I did not care much to look forward. The girls' chatter echoed throughout the castle walls, I could hear their soft giggles and banter as I frowned. I kept my eyes glued to a book before I felt a light tap on my shoulder. "Lo- I mean, Mr. Stone?"

I turned around and eased up, it was Valerie. In this entire ordeal I was not aloud to choose anyone, more of my parents deciding off from the side. When I saw Valerie, she looked like Virgil. I almost thought it was him until I saw her.....for lack of a better term, lady bits. When I proposed her to my parents, they reluctantly agreed. I feel no attraction toward her, of course, but she's probably all I have got.

"Yes, Mrs.Cole?" I ask, she starts to stutter nervously, and fiddled with the sleeves of her dress, just as Virgil used to do with his shirt when he was nervous. "I-I was wondering i-if you'd want to..." She cringed a bit at herself before continuing, "....hang out...?" I opened my mouth to speak before she bursted out, "I MEAN ITS ALRIGHT IF YOU SAY NO, IF YOU DONT WANNA I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND-".

I stared for a bit before laughing lightly, "I wasn't going to say no, Mrs.Cole. Logan is fine.". I watched her go red in the face and nod. I smile, "Is your brother here? He's usually behind you a lot." I say. Valerie seems to snap out of her daze, "W-Well no, not right now. Roman is very extra when it comes to these things" She joked. "'Extra'? Is that a slang term? I swear, there are so many of those. I might as well start writing them down." I chuckle. We laugh for a bit, the whole ordeal of it leaving a bittersweet aftertaste.

I look over, and am brought back to reality when I see the girls whispering to each other, and I could tell Valerie was getting nervous. I hold out a hand to her, "I believe I have something urgent to show you." I tell her, as she softly takes my hand. As we walked up the marble staircase, Valerie turned to me. "Logan? What is it you need to show me?" She asked, I smirked. "Oh, nothing. They were just starting to piss me off." I sneered.

Valerie stared up at me in awe, and turned to face down to her. Our eyes met, and I felt my eyes well up with tears. Her eyes were a striking shade of violet, wide, and withheld curiosity and mischief. Her eyes were just like his. "Logan?!" She shouted, worried out of her mind. "Are you alright? You're crying..." She whispered. I quickly wiped the tears away and said "I'm perfectly adequate, I apologize if I triggered concern, Mrs.Cole." I lied. "Valerie's fine, you know" She said.

I nodded as we continued to walk down the hallway. I smiled, and for the first time in years I truly meant it.

Romans POV

I walked down the brightly lit corridor, humming happily. I noticed a young woman, looking around 20 struggling to carry several plates, filled with food. "Pardon me, but do you need any help?" I questioned. "Oh,no. I've got it. Sorry your majeaAAA-" She shouted as a plate fell out of her hands.

I quickly grabbed a plate, and laughed a bit. "Are you sure?". She laughed nervously, "No...." She muttered. I smiled, as she handed me a small cup of tea. "This order goes to the prince, His Majesty Logan." She explained,I nodded and made my way over to his room. "Thank you, your majesty!" I heard her call. I turned the corner with a nod, and made my way to his door. I knocked, and waited for a moment. Instead of being met with his response, I heard quick shuffling.

Confused, I opened the door. I was taken aback to see Logan's window open, but nowhere in sight. I kept my hand hovering over my sword, as I walked throughout the room with caution. I placed the food on the drawer, listening in. As I walked around the room, I heard faint breathing. I followed the sound until I reached its source, a rather large filing cabinet. Big enough to hold a small man. I swung open the cabinet, finding a man around my age with fluffy hair, and round glasses hiding inside of it. He was rather cute, If he hadn't been hiding in Logan's room, I would've wanted to chat him up.

I yanked him out of hiding ,and pushed him against a wall, pulling his hands behind his back. "Wait! Don't report me to the king! I can explain!" The boy pleaded, I glared at him. "Why not? You have the right to remain silent, drop any weapons you have on hand right now. Don't even think about hiding them, I will find them eventually." I scolded. "I don't have any! I swear!" He said fearfully.

The door burst open, "What is the meaning of this?!" Logan roared. "This man was hiding in your filing cabinet, so I apprehended him" I explained. Logan took one look at the boy, and turned white. "Roman?!" Virgil exclaimed. The boy managed to break free of my grip and hid behind Logan. "Logan! Don't let him hurt me!" The man pleaded. Virgil and I gave him a puzzled look, Logan sighed. "I seem to be in a complicated situation." He said nervously. Virgil looked up at him and gestured to the boy behind him. "Explain." He deadpanned. "Alright. Roman, Valerie, this is Patton" he gestured to Patton, who meekly waved. "Patton, this is Prince Roman and Princess Valerie." He introduced. "Patton and I have been close friends for years, but my parents aren't aware. Please don't inform them." He explained.

Virgil and I stood puzzled for a moment, before Virgil spoke up. "Nice to meet you, Patton." He said, holding out a hand. Patton shook his hand shyly. I walked up to him, he flinched slightly. I frowned. "I'm sorry for apprehending you earlier, I thought you were a thief. I'm Roman." I apologized, holding a hand out as well. Patton looked up and shook my hand. "It's alright, I would've done the same." He said.

Logan rose an eyebrow with a smirk, "No you wouldn't.". Patton laughed, "You're right, kiddo." He said. I felt my face go slightly red, before suddenly remembering something. "Oh! Logan, I brought you your food earlier." I exclaimed. "Thank you, Roman." He said. "You may go, you two." Logan he dismissed. Virgil and I nodded, leaving the room. I took one last look at Patton, my cheeks tinting a light shade of pink. Once we closed the door, Virgil stopped feigning his feminine voice and smirked. "So, you got the hots for the new guy?" He teased. My face went red, "Whhhaaaaat? Pfft, no!" I dismissed, laughing nervously. "Don't lie to me, I saw you making goo-goo eyes at Patton." He teased.

"You're one to talk." I shot back. Virgil glared silently before easing up. He inhaled, "Touché." He exhaled. "That's not a bad thing! I saw you chatting up Logan earlier." I exclaimed. Virgil bit his lip, "but what if he falls for Valerie? What if he loves Valerie, but not me...? What if he forgot about me?!" He rambled. I put a hand on his shoulder. "V, you were my first friend, and yeah, we fight a lot,Like an unhealthy amount, but you're one of the best people I've ever met. You are truly unforgettable." I said, He smiled slightly. "That was....nice." He thanked. "I mean who could forget an emo nightmare like you?" I joked. "aaand there it is." He frowned. "Hey! No shame in it! Punk and emo making a come back this year!" I attempted to console.

"Nah, it's alright bro." Virgil said. We both laughed and made our way down to our room.
