Chapter 6: Journey to Tenchi Bridge
It has been a couple of days since we arrived at the new hideout. I was currently sitting in my personal lab jotting notes down on the special experiment I was working on for my father when there was a knock on the door.
"Come in, Kabuto," I said, recognizing the Charaka signature.
The door opened, and Kabuto walked inside of my lab wearing his cloak.
"Hey Kabuto, is there something you need?" I asked, looking up at Kabuto.
"Yes, I will start heading out for Tenchi bridge, " Kabuto said. "The medicine is taking a while to kick in, so your father would like you to tag along with him as a backup just in case something goes wrong."
"Understand, Kabuto, I will prepare a few supplies," I said, standing up and pausing with my notes. "Do you know how long till the medicine will kick in?" I asked.
"At the moment, no, I don't, but the herb said to heal all wounds. It should kick it at some point, probably by the end of taking down Sasori, hopefully before," Kabuto replied. "By the way, what exactly do you have under that cloth?" He asked, pointing at the table with a red cloth it.
"Something I'm working on for father as a surprise. It still needs work through," I sighed, closing my book of notes and looking at the cloth table.
"Surprise, but it's not his birthday anytime soon," Kabuto said with an eyebrow raised.
"Well, it's not a birthday present," I chuckled. "It is for something else. I'll show you later. You should get going now."
"Sounds good. Maybe I can help you figure out the problem," Kabuto said, getting ready to head back out of my lab.
"Probably," I replied as I followed Kabuto out of the lab, putting out the candles used to light up the lab in the hideout.
"Anyway, as soon as you have your supplies prepared, meet up with your father in his office. He just finished training with Sasuke," Kabuto said as he put on his hood.
"Got it through. I was expecting him to want me to stay here and train as well," I told him.
"He knows that you are compatible with being a bodyguard if things get out of hand. He still has skills and can use some just, but his current body is weakening. It's almost that time, after all."
"Understand, I let you get going now," I said, heading off to the room I made as my bedroom in our current hideout.
Kabuto nodded and started making his way to the exit of the hideout to make his journey to Tenchi bridge.
'Now to pack some ninja tools and a few other items that will come in handy for this mission.' I thought, making my way back towards my bedroom.

I arrived back at my room to see Hotaru, who had grown a bit over the last couple of days since I met her lying curled up in a ball on my bed.
"So you finally left that lab of yours. You have been working in there a lot since we got here," Hotaru said, not even looking up at me.
"I know, but I need to complete this project for my father. It's essential I explain why later right now, I got a mission to prepare for," I said, checking my medical supplies.
"So it's important. Is it something he ask you to do or something you're doing on your own, and mission take it has something to do with this bridge I heard mentioned often over the last couple of days?" She asked.
"No, it is not something he ask me to do. I'm doing it for him on my own," I replied. "As I said, I will explain later, and yes, the mission does involve the Tenchi bridge," I said, checking the condition of my tools and storing a scroll in my pouch with a few extra tools just in case.
"Would you like my assistance on this mission?" She asked.
"Thanks, Hotaru, but I believe that I should be fine," I smiled at her. "Besides, I believe that you should stand guard just in case."
"Sure thing, I make sure that nothing happens while you and the others are away."
"Good see you later," I commented as I gave her a nod trusting her to keep everything under control. "Especially make sure Sasuke doesn't cause trouble. In my opinion, he is not entirely trustworthy even if he is here for training for revenge on his brother and is my father's next vessel."
"I understand his attitude is annoying. So I can see why you don't trust him," She agreed.
I nodded one more time before leaving my room, putting my cloak on before heading off to meet up with my father.

I arrived at my father's office and knocked on the door, waiting for permission to enter.
"You may enter," My father said from the other side of the door.
I opened the door to see my father sitting at his desk with his fist resting against his face while reading a book.
"Ah, my princess, your here," He said, closing his book.
"Yeah, Kabuto told me you wanted my assistance with this mission," I replied, bowing at the front of his desk.
"Yes, for safety measures in case the plan doesn't go right," Father replied.
"Understand, I make sure if anything gets out of hand, I make sure nothing happens to you on my watch," I replied, giving him a nod.
"Yes, of course, I can always count on and Kabuto," Father replied, grabbing his cloak off his chair. "I already let Sasuke know that we will be away for a while," He said, walking towards the door.
I nodded and followed him out of the office."Should I stay hidden until there are signs of something going wrong?" I asked.
"That would be wise. We can catch Sasori off guard, thinking only I have followed Kabuto to the meeting place."
"Got it, then I make sure to keep my presence hidden until it is necessary," I replied as we put on hoods and left the hideout, beginning our journey to Tenchi bridge using the beautiful moonlight as our guide.
