Chapter 5: Hotaru the dragon ninja hound & leaving for the new hideout
It has been a couple of days since I returned with the herb of life and gave it to Kabuto. He hasn't finished making the medicine yet.
Right now, I was in the middle of gathering my important belongings since me and my father, Kabuto, and my dragon ninja hound, who needs a name, still will be leaving for the Hideout in the Hidden Grass soon.
"I still haven't talked to father about Suigestu," I said, packing away the book I found on dragon ninja hounds to learn more about my friend.
"Suigestu?" A small feminine voice asked in my head.
I turned around to see my dragon ninja hound looking at me, confused. I then realized that my dragon hound must be a female and was the one talking in my head. When you bond with them, you can form a mental link.
"Oh, Suigestu, just someone that my father has been experimenting on in this hideout," Kaiya replied as she continued sealing up her essential items.
"Oh?"
"Anyway, you need a name, little fellow, but I don't know for if your female or have a feminine voice, but I guess I just give you a unisex name," Kaiya muttered through the mental link as she looked at her new ninja dragon hound while thinking of a good name for her new companion. However, the hound is still young. Her snakes are more dependable for now. "How about the name Hotaru?" She asked.
"Hotaru? It sounds like an interesting name. At least I have one now," Hotaru said.
Kaiya looked at Hotaru paw that was still I injured for the day they met and wondered what happened to the little fellow and why the parents won't around anywhere.
"I will be right back. I have to grab a few things from my lab that I plan to continue working on at the next hideout," Kaiya said, walking out of the bedroom.
"Okay," Hotaru said, getting comfortable on the bed as they began to take a nap.

Kaiya arrived at her personal lab in the current hideout. She had a couple of scrolls on a table, but none of them was the project she wanted to bring with her.
'I might take some of those other scrolls, but they're not the important project I was starting to work on for father.' She thought, looking around for the scroll that had the critical information on it that she needed to continue starting that project she was working on for her father.
"There we go. I found it the scroll I was looking for," She said, grabbing a scroll with a chakra seal on it, allowing only for it to be opened with her chakra. "Now, let's see. I take the scrolls with some jutsu I have been working on creating as well," She said, going to look for the other scrolls she wanted to take.
She then heard a knock on her lab door, pulling her attention away from her search.
"Yeah," She called out.
"Kaiya, it's me, Kabuto," Kabuto replied from the other side.
"Kabuto, go ahead and come on in," She said.
The door opened, and Kabuto walked on inside. "Perfect, there you are. I've been looking for you, Kaiya," Kabuto said, pushing up his glasses.
"Is there something you need, Kabuto?" She asked, looking at Kabuto, wondering what he was looking for her for.
"Yeah, Lord Orochimaru sent me to get you," Kabuto said, looking at her. "He says that it is about time to start heading out to the new hideout now," He said.
"Understand, let me just grab one more thing, and I will be ready to go," She said. "By the way, is the medicine ready yet?" She asked.
"No, not yet. It still needs a bit more work turning the herb into medicine, but it is decently mixed up. I just have to continue mixing it at the new hideout."
"I see well; I go get my pouch and cloak, and I will be ready to go," Kaiya said, grabbing the scrolls and walking over to the door where Kabuto was standing before walking past him.
"Alright, I let your father know your coming. Meet up with Sasuke and us in Lord Orochimaru's office.
"Understand," She said with a nodded and continued making her way to her room to get her stuff and Hotaru.

After grabbing her cloak and putting it on, covering her face, she grabbed her pouch and put the scrolls inside of it before picking up Hotaru before leaving her room to meet up with her father, Kabuto, and Sasuke.
"Well, time for us to meet up from the others to switch hideouts. I just have to talk to father another time about Suigetsu," She said as she was walking to her father's office.
"Why do you want to free him? What is different from him than the Leaf ninja you were avoiding on your recent mission?" Hotaru asked.
"What well, it just the village sees the father as an enemy they never understand my reason for protecting him. Yeah, Suigestu doesn't like my father, but he understands that my father is my only family, and I can't bear the thought of losing him. So no matter what, I will protect him even if it costs me my life," She stated.
Hotaru looked at her, intrigued with her determination. After a couple of more minutes walking, she arrived at her father's office and knocked on the door.
"You may enter," Her father said from the other side of the door.
She opened the door and saw her father, Kabuto, and Sasuke waiting.
"Hn. About time," Sasuke said.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Kaiya bowed with Hotaru in her arms.
Orochimaru waved it off, signaling her to stand back up. "It's good, my princess. You're here now, so let's head on out," He said, signaling towards the door.
Kaiya stood up and nodded, following the other out of the office to begin the journey to the hidden grass hideout near Tenchi Bridge.
'I just hope the plan to take out Sasori goes well, and the medicine is ready in time.' Kaiya thought as they walked out of the office.
