Raven: Right now? I bet she's torturing one of them, not because it's what they deserve, not because of some bullshit notion of justice. But because she can.

Now

* we see Ruby whistling to herself as she grabbed a pair of rusty tree pliers and turned around. In front of her was one of the people she was supposed to kill. But he was very much alive, though he wished for death. But death was a mercy that Ruby won't grant him yet. Not till she shares the same pain Jake gave to her. Mike was currently tied up to a table, absolutely no way of escape*

Mike: Please. Please stop this! I can pay! I can pay whatever you want!

Ruby:Why? From what my friend Jaune tells me, you people named "mike" they always come back

*Ruby said with a hum, as she got closer to him, and one by one, crunch by crunch Ruby would cut off Mike's toes, enjoying each and every scream or plea this man was giving her. Mike was already a crying mess as he pleaded for mercy. Ruby never understood why. He never gave mercy to her. Why should she give it to anyone? Ruby was taking out of her thoughts by the crying of the man, that at one point thought he was untouchable.*

Mike: No more. No more. Please, I'll give you anything you want!

Ruby: Can you turn back time and kill me before rattlesnake Jake gets his claws on me? No? I didn't think so. Now come now. Don't be a Nancy boy. Only a few toes left.

*Ruby said with an unemotional tone as she finished cutting all 10 toes in the man's feet, leaving them as nothing by bloodied numbs. Ruby frowned when Mike tried to kick his way to freedom, so she stabbed the pliers on one of the legs, stabbing it straight through the leg and getting it stuck on the very wood of the table*

Mike: Argh! You bitch! When I get my hands on you! AHHH!!!!

*Mike screamed even louder when Ruby grabbed a machete and cut both of Mike's hands off. And it wasn't a clean cut, no. It took multiple chops to get it all the way through the bone. But she did it. She grabbed one of the hands and made it give the middle finger to Mike. A crude gesture, one that ruby thought would give her some form of enjoyment,  but it all felt so hollow. Ruby continued to speak while looking at the arms she cut.*

Ruby: Bad choice of words there. Very bad choice of words. I was gonna let you keep them. But you kept taking. Look at this. Pampered. Not a single callus to speak of. I would say I was surprised, but that would be a lie.

Mike: w..what are you doing with that?!

*Mike said terrified, as Ruby took put a burning hot piece of metal, so much that it looked bright Orange with how hot it was. Ruby looked at the metal, and then at Mike, still no emotions were showing on her face. As she walked towards him, not caring of the scrambling he was giving, terrified of what she'll do next.*

Ruby: Well, I can't have you bleeding out on me so quickly. The main event hasn't happened yet. Big breath now. The bigger the yell, the better

*Ruby said as she cauterize both wounds, hearing the screaming of the man. She wouldn't be surprised if people outside of the castle could also hear it, but Ruby was feeling frustrated. This was supposed to give her some kind of enjoyment, but the pills weren't letting her get even an inch of satisfaction*

Ruby: Ah, fantastic. You know, I used to give out the same screams. No, really. I used to be the one in that chair, getting tortured over and over and over again. It was enough to drive anyone insane. But I was lucky and retained my sanity and unlucky enough that my wounds would heal, my limb would regrow, and my tail would come back. So I would be forever that man's plaything and

Mike: shut up, you fucking bitch!!

*Mike yelled/cried, he felt like throwing up with how much pain he was in. Ruby shrugged as she looked at the man, wondering what other part she would cut, wondering if any of this would give her what she's looking for*

Ruby: Hmm, yeah, you're right. No one cares, so. Let's start taking away those organs.

Cinder: Rose.

*Cinder said walking inside of the room, not even being fazed by the screaming man on the table, Ruby rolled her eyes and put pieces of clothes in Mike's mouth so he would shut up, and she could have a conversation*

Ruby: What do you want, Cinder? I'm clearly busy

Cinder: The mistress would like a word with you

*Cinder explained as she walked up to the man, burning parts of his skin just because she could, something that while Ruby didn't mind, this was her kill, her person to torture, Cinder should get her own. Ruby hummed as she went back to choosing her next weapon to continue her vacation*

Ruby: Tell her to leave a message. Can't you see I'm on vacation? Can't I fucking enjoy myself without dealing with those two?

Cinder: it's not wise to make the mistress wait

*Cinder said, putting her hand on the man's neck and burning it till the neck melted completely into dust. The head fell from the table and rolled around a bit on the floor. Ruby looked at it and then at Cinder. Her threat did nothing to her*

Ruby: sigh, fine. Just let me finish up here. Zwei. Dinner.

*Ruby said as she walked away with Cinder. At the back, both of them heard zwei walk up to the body and eating it without a care. Cinder pressed a button on her phone, and a portal appeared. Both of them walked inside of it and were already in the meeting room of Salem's castle, with Salem herself waiting for them*

Salem: Ruby rose. Cinder. Sit down. We need to have a discussion

Ruby: With the way you're all looking at me, it feels more like y'all are gonna do an accusation.

*Ruby said as she sat down with everybody else, she could already tell they all thoughtshe did it, because she did, all Rubyhad to do now was deny deny deny. Salem hummed, not taking her gaze off of the emotionless girl.*

Salem: I simply find it curious. That the only casualty of the mission was the only man I sent to assist you

Ruby: funny how that works, huh?  That doesn’t mean I killed him, like all of you, no doubt, believe I did.

*Ruby said with an uncaring shrug. She leaned back on her chair and yawned, not having her hands on her guns just looking relax as a "fuck you" to everybody here trying to intimidate her. Cinder looked at Ruby with a raised eyebrow before speaking *

Cinder: Can you prove that you didn't?

Ruby: You can't prove a negative. And besides. I'm the one being accused. If anyone should prove that, I did do it. It should be you 3. And did any of you see me do it?

*Ruby asked since she knew no one did. She made sure that there was no proof of her crime. Cinder was about to speak until emerald interrupted her, much to the older woman's annoyance.*

Emerald: No. The security footage was destroyed along with the castle when it exploded

Ruby: So, you have no reason to accuse me, except for the fact that you all don't trust me, since I'm working for ozma and you're just looking for an excuse. How's that? Am I in the ballpark?

*Ruby asked with a fake grin. Since she really didn't feel anything about this, she didn't get any enjoyment of being smug or tricking these people either. She really needs to talk to glynda about taking a smaller dosage of her medication. But that's for another time. Right now, her attention was on emerald, not on her lack of emotions *

Emerald: Then, if you have nothing to hide, hand your blade to Arthur so he can analyze it

Ruby: it would be a waste of time. I've killed so many people with this sword that the blood would be impossible to figure out, which belongs to which. Now on a different subject. Salem. You said you had a job for me?

*Ruby asked, looking at Salem. Ending their conversation, she even tossed her sword on the table for Arthur to grab and analyze later. Since she was confident that they wouldn't find anything. Salem looked at Ruby for w moment, her hands drumming softly on the table when she finally spoke*

Salem: Hmm. Indeed, I did....

Later

*Ruby walked through the portal and saw her school team their, they looked at each other for a moment. No one said anything until Ruby was the first to speak.*

Ruby: Look. What happened on that island stays on that island. Let's agree to never talk about or question about it again agreed?

Rest of the team: agreed.

*Ruby nodded, and she crashed on her bed exhausted. She knew she had a meeting with Ozpin, but that could wait. All she wanted to do right now was sleep. Now that this filler mission is done, Ruby felt so much better that she finally was able to release some stress. Even if she go no enjoyment out of it, at least none that she could feel*

Hours later

*Ruby was in a deep sleep when someone knocked on the door, pyrrha walked up to it and opened it, seeing a rather traumatized yang on the other side. Yang, who was still haunted by the look of the one she killed, she looked at pyrrha and spoke, her voice incredibly horsed, from all the emotional puking that she's done*

Yang: Where's Ruby? I need to talk to her

Pyrrha: Join the club, but she's sleeping right now

*Pyrrha said with a sigh, it's been a month. A whole fucking month, and she still hasn't been able to talk to Ruby like she wanted, so yes. She was angry. But unlike Yang, she still respected Ruby enough to let her rest. Yang frowned at that and tried to get her foot inside*

Yang: Then let me wake her up

Pyrrha: Yeah. I'm not gonna do that. Last time jaune did that, it landed him in the nurse office. Just talk to her when she's awake

*Pyrrha said with a dismissive wave, as she gently pushed yang back so she's outside the room and into the hallway. Yang frowned deeply as she hugged herself. She needed to talk to Ruby. It was urgent, she could not wait a few hours till Ruby was ready*

Yang: No! I need to talk to her now!

Pyrrha: Well, I don't frankly care what you want. What's gonna happen is that I'm gonna close the door and take a nap myself. What I suggest for you? Go talk to Glynda. You seem like you need it

*pyrrha said firmly, getting a little understanding of why Ruby gets so annoyed by yang. The woman doesn't understand the concept that no means no. Pyrrha tried to close the door, but Yang put her foot at the door, stopping her from doing that, looking even more desperate for a conversation*

Yang: Look, I don't need to talk to Glynda. I just need to talk to Ruby

Pyrrha: About what?

*pyrrha said with her arm crossed as yang opened the door fully, and loudly waking up a certain rose, who was now pretending to sleep, so she wouldn't have to deal with yang and whatever crap she has for her now.*

Yang: Nothing you should concern yourself with

Pyrrha: Then I'm afraid I can't let you see her. She is very tired and needs her rest

*pyrrha said in a very firm tone, about ready to push yang out so she could close the door. Something Ruby appreciates, but unfortunately, yang was persistent *

Yang: Pyrrha, come on, I....

Ruby: Oh, for the love of the gods.

*Ruby said loudly. She didn't scream, mind you, but her tone showed forced and sterness behind it, feeling the only feeling the pills hadn't taken from her, annoyance. She got up from her bed and walked to the door with a deep frown on her face, pyrrha moving to the side so Ruby and yang could be eye to eye*

Ruby: What. What is It xiao long? What the fuck do you want that it can't wait till I'm better rested?

Yang:.....

*Yang didn't speak much to the annoyance of ruby she saw where Yang wad glancing. So, with a cross of her hands, Ruby made it clear that Yang wasn't the one in charge of the conversation. Not even a little*

Ruby: Angel isn't going anywhere. Now talk, or I slam the door on you.

Yang: it's just. I need help. I...i killed a person, and I can't stop thinking about it. Thinking about him

*Yang said with a haunting look behind her eyes, a look she's glad pyrrha and nora don't have. So with a big breath and a pinch of her eyes, Ruby made her feelings known. And as always, it wasn't what Yang wanted to hear.*

Ruby: ok. And what makes you think I can help you with that? Did you forget what I used to do to forget? I drank myself to a coma till I blacked out, and now I'm taking pills to make me feel numb to everything. So what makes you think that I can help you?

Yang: I...

*Yang tried to say, tried to explain herself, but Ruby never gave her a chance to. Since Ruby was tired of yang believing they have any sort of relationship that's close enough where she can ask her for help since that wasn't the case, the only one she's close enough to ask for such a thing is Pyrrha Nikos and maybe Nora*

Ruby: Oh, I know. It is because of this ridiculous notion you have that were suddenly best buddies, right? Well, we were not. I tolerate you, I don't like you. I don't hate you. I just tolerate you. That's it. Now you want some help? Go talk to Glynda. She'll be able to help you. But as for me? Leave me alone. And let me sleep

*Ruby said, slamming the door on Yang's face and going back to bed. Since she didn't care if the world was ending, she was going to sleep. Pyrrha shrugged and joined Ruby with napping in her own bed, just as tired as the little snake Rose*

Pyrrha: Sleep well, Ruby

Ruby: Sleep well, angel.
