Ruby:fine. It... It was a few months after the human penny died. I...I was in a dark place.....

Now

Flashback

*We see ruby in a bar, a bottle of cactus juice in her hand, drinking herself into another blackout. Since, penny was gone our little rose has been drinking 5 times what she normally drinks, just wanting to get Blacked out drunk, and forget everything*

???:I'm telling you man, we are set. Once that dumb girl comes here it's on

*Ruby heard someone say, she glanced and what she saw made an anger build inside of ruby, so much that her tail started to rattle. It was a table full of men.*

Man number 2: are you sure about this?

Man number 1: I'm telling you guys, this is a big one, zero protection to speak of, the girl is from a Rich family, I'm telling you this is easy money

*Another one of those disgusting creatures said making ruby give a low hiss, she tossed a few more coins on the counter, and the bartender served her with another bottle. He didn't care if he killed this customer from alcohol poisoning, since for him? That just means more money*

Man number 3: exactly, so here's how it's gonna go down, once she gets off that train....

Back to the present

Pyrrha:wait, so they just said that out in the open? And no one said anything?

*Pyrrha said shocked, ruby snorted and leaned back on her chair, having a good old vacuo style smirk on her face*

Ruby:yup, that's vacuo for yah, you can talk about crime right next to a bloody police officer, and they won't say a damn, since they're also committing crime, seeing as that hellhole is so under funded, and what little money vacuo does makes goes into the pockets of corrupt fat cats, who don't even hide it since what are the citizen gonna do about? Nah angel. the only way, anyone is gonna survive in vacuo is if you steal, or if you kill the person who stole

Fleur: thankfully there are some kind souls in that cesspool, like my little rosy

*Fleur said with a wink, a bashful smile forced it's way into Ruby's face, making Pyrrha so jealous. Ruby coughed with a blush on her face, as she tried to get back into control*

Ruby:ejem. Anyways, after the train got into the those creatures took fleur for a ransom, I just so happened to be following them, to take out some.... Let's call it pent up frustration

Back to the past

*It was the dark of night when ruby made it to the abandoned building, that the scums call a hide out. Ruby kicked open the door, and walked inside, with the confidence as if she belonged there. She could hear the pigs speaking at a distance.*

???:what the hell was that?

???:why do you ask me? Go and look for yourself

*Ruby heard, and she stumbled into the darkness of the shadows, waiting for one of them to come, she could hear the steps coming closer and closer, until she saw the back of her first victim.*

Scum 1: it was just the wind. Mother fucker, they make me do everything around here

*The scum said, as he closed the door. And turned around. Once he did he gave out a blood curdling screaming, seeing ruby jump at him, he managed to punch Ruby's mouth enough to make it bleed, but it didn't stop her. Ruby using her reptilian arm, stabbed the man in his eyes until she heard a pop, and went deeper, until she touched the brain. Ruby was so in the moment, that she didn't hear the other scum coming towards her, until she felt a bullet in her abdomen making her hiss. And jump off the man, returning to the shadows. The other man started shooting at the Shadow, wherever the sound of footsteps was heard. Did some bullets pierced Ruby's skin? Yes. Did ruby care? No, she was too drunk and too filled with adrenaline to care. Once ruby heard them start to reload, did she cackle slowly, the echo in the room just making the laugh travel, making it sound like she was everywhere*

Back to the present

Pyrrha:wait another minute. You have super speed, why didn't you just use that?

*Ruby asked, and ruby chuckled softly, she took out one of her guns and just looked at it, more specifically at the tip of the gun, the look ruby had on, it was almost indescribable for the two girls of Mistral*

Ruby:angel, this was me months after human penny had died. I was in a real dark place, and was ready to die myself. The only reason why I didn't put my revolver around my lips and pull the trigger, is because I didn't want to give those filthy things, the satisfaction that they won

*Ruby hissed, her tone showing nothing but disgust, she wasn't talking just about Jake, nor ironwood, no. Ruby was talking about all men, since again. Jaune is an exception. Not the standard.*

Ruby: and honestly? Saving fleur was just an accident, I wanted them to kill
Me. To end my miserable existence, I wanted the easy way out.... I wanted to die pyrrha

Pyrrha/fleur:ruby....

*Both fleur and Pyrrha looked at ruby with concern, but ruby shook her head, and continued the story*

Back to the past

Ruby:my, you all really are pigs. Since only animals could have such poor aim. Hahahahaha

Scum: who the hell are you?

Ruby: does it matter? You're buddy is dead. And the two of you are next

*Ruby said in her mind. She was intimidating.......but in reality, she talked with such a slur in her tone, that it was almost unintelligible*

Scum 2: what the fuck did she say?

Ruby:I said aim better!

*Ruby said, taking her revolver, and even in a drunk haze, her aim was better than the other two, she was able to shoot them both in the chest, one in the heart he died in about 3 minutes, but the other? Right in the lung. Oh, what a painful feeling that is. The lungs lose the ability to pump air and slowly collapse, so no matter how hard the scum tried to breath, they will still suffocate. And the last thing, the lungs are slowly filled with bodily liquids and thus cannot function properly. Oh that's especially vile*

Back to the present

*Both fleur and Pyrrha were giving ruby a look, that made her squirm, they didn't even need to ask, for ruby to open up*

Ruby: silver eyes are a magical thing. They can heal anything. So... That sick fuck would use me for target practices, and then heal me up just at the last moment before I died.

Fleur:oh honey... Don't worry. As soon as the little warrior leave, I'm gonna make you forget all about that asshat

*Fleur said in a gentle tone, but she still couldn't help licking her lips a little. Ruby huffed a bit amused, she can almost smell it, she can almost remember the smell of fleur's semblance*

Ruby:anyways, after my little drunk tantrum, of them dying from just one shot. I walked up and I saw this one, all tied up and scared

Fleur:to be fair you were covered in blood, and had this feral look on your face

Back to the past

Fleur:a...are you here to kill me? Or save me?

Ruby:tonight? Save you.

*Ruby said, as she used her claws to break fleur free, the pink hair woman got up and looked at ruby, still scared, but not as much as last time as before, seeing ruby coming off her high, and falling back to the wall, slowly sliding down into a sitting position*

Ruby:here's what you wanna do. Go out that door, and take a left, it'll take you straight in to the mayor's office, about the only place in this shit hole. That has some speck of protection. I'm...I'm just gonna close my eyes for a second

*Ruby said softly as she closed her eyes, from a blood loss, feeling some semblance of happiness that her life was finally over, and she got to do a little bit of good as her last act, not a bad way to go in Ruby's opinion. But seeing as ruby is the one telling this story, we know this wasn't her last stance*

Later

*Ruby felt herself breathing, and she wanted to cry, since if she can feel herself breathing it meant she was still alive, she slowly pushed herself up from the soft bed, and looked around. She was in the town's rundown hotel, she heard the water in the bathroom running, and she waited for whoever dared take away her clean death from her. It took a few moments for her to come out*

Fleur:why hello there darling. How are you feeling?

Ruby:like death. What happened?

*Ruby asked, looking at the girl, she looked so innocent, but her eyes told a totally different story*

Fleur:well, you saved me. I couldn't in all good conscience leave you like that to die. So I took you to the local hospital, which is just a drunk bastard

Ruby: Henry.

*Ruby added, as she looked around for her clothes, but she couldn't see them. All she had on was bandages covering her chest, and a blanket covering her bottom half*

Fleur:right henry, he took the bullets out of your body, stitched you up, and told me that you needed some rest

Ruby: I...thank you kindly, but I won't be needing any sort of rest

*Ruby said, as she activated her silver eyes, and healed herself, she took off her bandages and showed it to fleur, who was impressed*

Fleur:how...how did you do that?

Ruby:.... Let's just say I have a healing semblance, and leave it at that.

*Ruby said, since it was close enough to the truth, and she wasn't about to trust anybody with her silver eyes secret*

Ruby: Now if you'll excuse me pretty lady, I better head off. I've got this lead for something big. So if you can hand me my clothes I'll be on my way

Fleur:oh, come on you little tease, you can at least tell me what it is, or I'll be wondering all day

*Fleur said in a sultry tone. Giving ruby a pair of puppy eyes, ruby was feeling uncomfortable. She couldn't describe what she was feeling. What she didn't know, was that fleur already was using her skills to the test*

Ruby: find the location of a group called Millennium. Now

Fleur:shhh....

*fleur said. Putting her finger on Ruby's lips, and pushing her down on the bed, she was quick to get on top of her*

Fleur:all of that can wait. You see little hero, you saved me. You were willing to die for me. A total stranger. And in my opinion that just cannot go unrewarded~ all you have to do is say yes.

Ruby:yes?

*Ruby asked confused, and in a single second, she smelled something, it was overpowering, it was as if she fell in a ocean and was drowning, but she didn't feel scared. She looked at fleur, who was smiling sultry at her, with pink mist coming out of her*

Fleur:heh, good enough now do me a favor and take a deep breath.....

Back to the present

Pyrrha:I know I'm gonna hate myself when I ask. But what is your semblance?

*Pyrrha asked, fleur hummed, and raised her hand. A small pink ball of mist appeared on it, it looked like both a gas and a liquid*

Fleur:the doctors label it as love. It's like a drug, whenever I activate it, an odor so powerful you can see it, comes out of me, and into my partner making them lose themselves, and only think of one thing, they can only think of a carnal desire

Pyrrha: sounds to me like that doesn't leave a lot of room for consent

*Pyrrha said, shooting fleur a glare, since that their story of how they met, Ruby's consent was dubious at best. Fleur rolled her eyes and tossed the pink mist ball to ruby, but it disappeared before it could reach her*

Fleur: oh trust me little champion, this little power of mine, can't be activated unless both parties give consent, if I could use it without that, don't you think I would've made you stop hating me so much?

Pyrrha:....fair. but ruby

Ruby:don't ask it.

*Ruby said with a deep frown, Pyrrha looked at her with concern, but ruby just ignored it, and took a deep sigh*

Ruby: I know what I said, I know what my motto is. But just let me have this ok?

Pyrrha: but

*Pyrrha wanted to interrupt, to put her two cents in, but ruby wasn't having it. She needed this, she wanted this, she was just so tired*

Ruby: angel. I... I just need this. God knows I wish I didn't, but I do. to feel.... The closest thing to normal that I'll ever get, even if it's just for a few hours, Now please. Do me a favor and go home.

Pyrrha:....

*Pyrrha looked at ruby, there was so much she wanted to say, but she didn't. she couldn't. So she just got up, and walked out of the hut. Ruby took a tired sigh, and felt two soft pair of hands on her cheeks. Fleur made ruby look at her*

Fleur:you are so gonna pay for that later.

Ruby: I know. But for right now? I give you my full consent. Just please, make everything stop.

*Ruby said weakly, as she felt herself jumping into that water, as the world started to turn pink, and all she could feel was one thing. Desire. Desire to please and to be pleased by this goddess in front of her*

Fleur:oh, baby. Don't worry, I'll make you feel good tonight. Come, to your bedroom

*Fleur said, and like a good husk ruby followed orders. And in this chapter my dear readers, I hope you can all see the final trap that Jake made for her. The final cruelty of that snake. He made it so, Ruby deep down, misses it, she misses being told what to do, she misses the simple orders where she doesn't have to make choices that some days are so crippling that she can't get out of bed, she misses the world being simple. Ruby misses being just a husk for somebody to use*
