In the last class

*it was the final class of the semester, Glynda's fighting class. It was currently ruby vs Blake, but a fight isn't exactly what one would call it*

Ruby;An'all God's people said amen
It's not a sin if it don't make me cry.

*Ruby dodged out of the way of Blake's bullets. Blake asked for ruby as a opponent, and ruby? Wasn't taking her seriously at all, hence why she's singing*

Ruby:He's not the devil 'less there's fire in his eyes It ain't the Ghost if it don't speak in tongue

*Ruby exploded in to a petal of roses, dashing all over. While Blake tried to hit her*

Ruby:It's not a victory until the battle's been won An'all God's people said amen An'all God's people

*Ruby appeared behind Blake, wrapping her hands behind her neck, whispering into her ear*

Ruby: said amen....

Blake:argh....

*Blake growled softly, loosing her cool as she pushed ruby off her, and tried to slice her with her sickle*

Ruby:Nobody prays unless they lose a son Don't believe in God till a war's to be won I know of lies by the truth I've been told

*Ruby grabbed the sickle and pulled it towards her, making Blake move a little closer, but she held her ground*

Ruby:The biggest one's that we're not growing old Well I know of sin by the things Mama prayed

*Ruby slammed the sickle in the floor, holding it there with her foot as she aimed at Blake, instantly shooting her gun*

Ruby:And I know of heaven by the line at its gate And I hear that the Kingdom is not far away

*Blake dodged out the way, saving herself from getting shot, but losing her weapon in the process. since she knows Ruby's bullets are powerful enough to exhaust her aura in half*

Ruby:So come drink the water if you wanna be saved An' all God's people said amen An' all God's people

*Ruby yawned, and disappeared into an explosion of petals, she spun around blake, faster and faster, slowly the eye of the petal tornado was becoming smaller, Blake had no escape. she tried to use her semblance, Blake shadow-clones of herself, when the clone was made, the force of it pushed Blake backwards, but it wasn't fast enough to escape Ruby's tornado, touching it cut Blake's aura from green to yellow. Blake was quickly trying to think of a new plan when, she looked up as the wind stopped, and there ruby was aiming her gun at her*

Ruby:said amen

*Ruby said shooting her gun and getting a direct hit. Blake winced as her aura went from yellow to red in an instant*

Glynda:it's over. Ruby rose is the winner

Ruby:to be fair, are we even that surprised? Better luck next semester scaredy cat

*Ruby said sticking her tongue out, Blake scowled at her, but returned to her seat to read her book, so that she can calm down. Glynda looked at ruby, as she walked to her seat next to Pyrrha*

Glynda:now, miss rose as the winner you decides who fights next

Ruby:I want it to be a 1 vs 4, pretty boy vs team racist

*Ruby said, it took a few moments but everyone in class realized who they were, since it was common knowledge who ruby refers to when she says pretty boy. Pyrrha was currently glaring at ruby, and Glynda? She had an eyebrow raised*

Glynda: I'm sorry miss rose, care to repeat that?

Ruby:gladly. I want a 1 vs 4 jaune arc against team CRDL

*Ruby said, and gained the muttering of the class, jaune looked at ruby nervously, while cardin and his team just laughed*

Weiss:why do you hate our team leader so much?

Yang:yeah, sorry for this Jaune. But ain't no way you can beat all 4 of them alone

*Yang said, wincing, wondering just what the hell her little sister was thinking with this matchup*

Cardin: you're kidding right snake skin?

Ruby:what's wrong tic tac dick. Afraid that Jaune will kick you're ass?

*Ruby said with a very smug smile, cardin growled at her, slamming his fist on his table, which just made Jaune flinched sacred, he started to nervously chuckle*

Jaune:h...hahahahah, let all calm down for a second, and take a step back

Cardin:you know what? Fine! Let's go Johnny boy! You vs us, I'm gonna love seeing that smirk wiped out your ugly face

*Cardin growled walking down to the fighting arena, Jayne was sweating bullets, trying to find a way to escape this, he felt someone pat his shoulder*

Ruby: alright get in there and showed this class that you can beat the weakest team in this damn school

Jaune:w..wait wait wait, a minute I didn't agree do this!

*Jaune yelled terrified, ruby just shrugged and looked around, before she looked back at Jaune with an evil glint in her eyes, and a smirk on her face*

Ruby:true, but if you back down now, what little respect you have left will disappear, I mean you think how he treats you is bad, imagine when you chicken out

Pyrrha:....miss Glynda, can I have a minute to talk with ruby in private, with Jaune?

*Pyrrha said finally speaking up, jaune looked at her as if she was her savior. He looked at glynda, his look begged for mercy, and luckily for him, mercy was showed to him on this day*

Glynda:I'll allow it. In the meantime, yang and Nora get down here, you'll fight In there place. If Mr. Arc agrees the next fight will be jaune arc vs Cardin Winchester, Russel Thrush, Dove Bronzewing, and Sky Lark

Yang:sounds like a good time

*Yang said cracking her knuckles, she started walking down, until she stopped and flinched. Yang flinched when ruby said the words that would bring yang her execution*

Ruby:.....Nora, win and I'll take you to that pancake restaurant that you love so much. all you can eat

Nora:IHOP?! Oh hell yeah!! I'm gonna break every bone in your body yang Xiao long!!!!

*Nora yelled extremely excited, looking as if she was already had electricity inside of her. To make matters worse, Nora ran to an outlet, grabbed a small knife and stuck it in there, getting the electricity she needed. She was like a blur when she appeared next to Glynda, literally vibrating with anticipation. Yang gave ruby a haunting look on her face*

Yang:....ruby.....why...

Ruby:because I'm a little shit. And because I refuse to let my team lose, so I know what motivates them

*Ruby said with a shrug, with a grin that look like the cat who ate the canary. Ren looked at her with a raised eyebrow*

Ren:really, then what motivates me?

Ruby:me getting injured close to death, or uninterrupted naps

*Ruby said a with a shrug, she knew that Ren hates her. He didn't really hide it all that well, but just like with monkey boy, ruby just didn't care*

Ren:.....fair

Pyrrha:if we're done, ruby a word

*Pyrrha said walking down with Jaune next to her, ruby walked down whistling, the whistle gave a chill to everyone's spine since it could be heard all over the classroom*

*Ruby made it out of the room, and was instantly grabbed by her shoulders and shook violently, by a scared jaune*

Jaune:what the hell did you do?!

Ruby:....your lucky that I tolerate your closeness or else I would've shot you, before you've had the chance to touch me.

*Ruby said in a unamused tone, her tail didn't even rattle, showing she was comfortable with jaune. Still jaune flinched and let go of her*

Jaune:s...sorry, but what the hell ruby?!

Ruby:I feel like that's my line, you've been training with Pyrrha, and I've been giving you pointers. You should be able to beat them no problem.

*Ruby said with a shrug, putting her hands behind her back, pyrrha looked at ruby sternly, thought there was still some softness behind her gaze, giving what happened in the morning*

Pyrrha:ruby, jaune is not ready yet for such a fight

Jaune:yeah! Nowhere near ready

*Jaune said nervously, ruby rolled her eyes, and jammed her finger on Jaune's chest. Giving him a scary glare*

Ruby: and you will never be ready, if You're scared of failing. No matter how much Pyrrha trains you, how many pointers I give you. There will never be a greater teacher than failure. If you fail here, then you'll fail yes. But you'll become a better person because of it, a better fighter because OF it.

Jaune:but, what if I do fail? I won't just fail, it'll be a painful failure

*Jaune said, wincing when she heard the painful scream of yang, and what could only be her shoulder being dislocated. Pyrrha gave Ruby an unamused expression, when she smiled at Yang's pain. Ruby ignored her and looked at jaune*

Ruby:then that will be a valuable lesson in dodging. Pretty boy, while failure is our best teacher, fear of failure is our worst enemy. If you never try, you'll never know what you can do. And I know you have potential, potential that me and Pyrrha has been bringing out. Well like 95% Pyrrha but still. You. Can. Do. This.

Pyrrha:I don't know about this ruby, maybe he could take one of them on. But all 4 at once?

*Pyrrha said, looking at jaune with concern of him getting hurt. Ruby just chuckled softly, since that reminded her of an old memory*

Ruby:heh, you wouldn't last a day in raven's clan angel, there I had to fight the whole clan until I i passed out. But that's neither here nor there right now, maybe a story for another day. Look angel, pretty boy. The best way for, pretty boy to learn, is to be thrown to the wolves and survive with them

Jaune:ok..s..so I'm really doing this huh?

*Jaune said, more or less accepted, that there's no getting out of it. Not after ruby called him out, in front of everyone. Something that she did on purpose*

Ruby:Pyrrha and myself can pass you all we've learned about strength, Pyrrha's mastery in battle, and my mastery in improvisation. But weakness, folly, failure? Those are better teachers than anyone you'll ever have.the greatest teacher of all is failure, now jaune arc. Go learn

Jaune:y..yeah. ok. Let's do this. I'm not moving am I?

*Jaune said, his legs were shaking, but he wasn't moving forward. Ruby sighed and kicked him inside the classroom. The door closed and it left ruby and Pyrrha alone*

Pyrrha:he's gonna get his ass kicked

Ruby:you have too little faith in the man you love angel, trust me, he'll win.

*Ruby said plainly, there wasn't any doubt in her voice, no arrogance, smugness, the sun will come up tomorrow, and jaune is gonna win in Ruby's mind. Ruby walked to the door and held it opened for Pyrrha*

Ruby:come on. Let jaune show you, the fruits of your labor

Scene change

After yang came back from a trip to the nurse office

*Cardin fell backwards his aura drained, everyone was shocked, jaune arc just defeated team CRDL by himself. Jaune looked at his sword, and then at the unconscious team*

Jaune:I did it.

*Glynda's eyes were wide, her worst student just defeated 4 students who were in the middle of the class power wise. So safe to say she was shocked*

Glynda:he did it

*The whole class just saw the world turn upside down, they saw jaune, the only student who doesn't have his aura unlocked yet, defeat a full team of 4 who did*

Class"he did it"

*Jaune's own team, looking at there leader unable to believe what they just witnessed, Weiss had her mouth wide opened, the boy she always rejects on going on a date, just beat a group of 4 by himself, she won't lie. That was really attractive*

Yang & blake:he did it

Weiss:he really did...

*Pyrrha had her heart pounding seeing the man she has feelings for, defeating a team of 4 by himself, it made him look, for lack of a better word manly*

Pyrrha:he did it....
