*after that little side mission of getting me some pants and this stupid spaghetti strap loose shirt that shows the extent of my reptilian skin, we've had to look for another hour finding the damned place, since raven couldn't just tell me where the lab is, no, no, of course not, I'm a big girl, I can find it herself, not like I should be resting, no. I have to be on a mission with Xiao long, and Pyrrha, cause fuck me right?*

Pyrrha:ruby!

*I was taken out of my thoughs and looked at Pyrrha, who was giving me that cute crooked smile she always gives me*

Pyrrha:yang, found the place. Ready to go?

Ruby:sigh, let's just get this over with, I already want this day to end already, funny how raven, can always sour my mood

*I said with a annoyed sigh, finishing my smoothie, and following behind the taller woman. We made it to a alley way, and I saw yang cracking her knuckles, as in front of her were two passed out guards, she looked at me, and smiled brightly, when she saw me. *Yang said, flexing her muscles, I roll my eyes, and leaned against the wall, with an expected look on my face, yang was smiling nervously, as she walked to the door, and used her strength to break it open, or at least that was the thought. I raised an eyebrow and coughed to get her attention, yang looked at the door and it wasn't even bent, yang started to laugh more nervously, as she tried, again, and again, and one more time for good luck, and yet. Nothing happened*

Ruby:yeah, they use anti semblance metal, for every door in the capital, there was even a commercial about it, when you and the others were at the hotel

Yang:o..oh....

*Yang said rubbing her arm, embarrassed, I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose, annoyed, I would've already been inside if I had my cactus juice. But since I didn't have that, I had to work with what I got, I gave Xiao long, an unamused slightly annoyed expression*

Ruby:yeah, what you should've done, was wait for them to open the door, and then knock them out, you were too gun eager. Now, stop hitting the door, and hit the normal brick wall next do it

Yang:oh.. right the wall! Your so smart ruby!

*Yang said with a grin as she hit the brick wall breaking it, she smiled victoriously and looking at me, as if I'm supposed to be impressed. I felt Pyrrha's hand on my shoulder and it made me feel butterflies in my stomach, as it usually does, I sighed and force a smile on my face*

Ruby:good job Xiao long, let's hurry this along, 

Pyrrha:yes, this is more your league, where are the slaves normally kept

*Pyrrha said looking at me with those patience eyes, why did she have to look at me like that? I shook my head, and started walking forward*

3rd person

Ruby: at basement, but we're not gonna go there right now, first we have to go to the guards, then the security room, to erase the footage, after that we have to get to the lab, to see just what the hell is going on in this place, and I'll tell you right now, it's never anything good

*Ruby said walking inside the building, Pyrrha was surprised at ruby taking charge, but ruby wasn't drunk, she wasn't the rose of vacuo, who goes guns blazing not giving a shit, about her own well being safe, sober ruby on the other hand, was more detail oriented, she always has a process and a plan. Pyrrha was impressed, seeing ruby take on some leadership skills, both of them followed her to look, for the guard room. But stopped and grabbed there weapons, when they heard the sound of screaming, bones being crushed, the unmistakable sound of flesh being pulled. Ruby eyes squinted as she leaned against a wall, she looked at the other two, and mouthed "at the count of 3" they nodded and got ready*

Ruby"1....2....3..."

*Ruby jumped out of the corner and aimed forward, she saw a purple looking, huge cat like creature, it's mouth covered in blood, as it was crushing a guard in its hand. The thing looked at ruby and looked surprised, and got close to her, smiling ear to ear*

Catnap:Rose of vacuo! It's a miracle

Ruby:....weapons down

*Ruby said putting the jackal back in the holster, Pyrrha and yang got next to her, with yang a little in front, in a protective stance, the strange cat like creature, turned into a normal human faunus, like Blake, only it's hair and cat features were purple*

Catnap:thank the gods, you heard to our prayers! People kept telling me I was crazy, but I knew I just to pray harder, and look! Here you are

Ruby:....yes. Here I am, now. Can you tell me your name

*Ruby said cautiously, this man looked unhinged, the man ran his fingers through his hair, as a almost insane giggle escaped his lips*

Catnap:your here, your actually here. Oh! Right name, name, name, name, I have a name, name, name, name, and it's ... Huh, I can't seem to remember it, at the moment

*Catnap said, his mind clearly long since gone, who knows how long he's been here, and what they did do him, ruby slowly walked up to him*

*Catnap said with a big grin walking ahead of them, Pyrrha and yang followed, but not for long. Both of them froze at the sound of gunfire, Catnap fell to the ground from a bullet to his skull, they looked back and saw ruby with her gun out, smoke still coming out of the tip, and cold uncaring eyes looking in front of her, to the person she just killed*

Yang:w...what the fuck?! Rubes?!

Ruby:I told you, it's ruby, and he was the target.

*Ruby said tossing them the picture raven gave them, both of them looked, and sure enough, it was him. But didn't satisfied yang*

Yang:but he was innocent!!

Ruby: yes he was, your point?

*Ruby said with a shrug, she didn't care that she just killed a innocent man, it wasn't her first, nor her last, the amount of people who has suffered because of ruby was staggering giving that she needs to let some slave stay locked up in chains. So no, ruby didn't care, she stopped having the strength to care*

Yang:he didn't have to die!

Ruby:he did, he really did. If I would've let him live, raven would be upset and stop working with me, if I don't have her portals I can't save people.

*Ruby pointed out, walking to catnap, and kicking him a little, making sure he was dead. What made yang sick to her stomach, as ruby gauging out, Catnap's eyes and putting them in a jar with water*

Yang:but this is wrong, this... this isn't what your supposed to be about, your the rose of vacuo, your supposed to be saving people

Pyrrha: alright alright, let's all just calm down and take a breath

*Pyrrha said finally stepping in, she didn't want a repeat, of when she discovered the dark side of being the rose of vacuo, Ruby looked at Pyrrha, and gave her a small smile, to show her, she was calm*

Pyrrha:ruby....

Ruby: I'm fine angel, really just....just trust me

*Ruby said softly Pyrrha looked at ruby skeptically, but nodded taking a step back, ruby looked at yang*

Ruby:you want answers? You want to know what it takes to be the rose of vacuo?

Yang:i think I'm entitled, after what you just pulled, you should be saving as many people as possible

*Yang said crossing her arms, all this? It was all way too much, way too soon, for yang to accept, what ruby does*

Ruby:you really want answers ?

Yang:I want the truth! I'm entitled to know the truth, after this!

*Yang screamed, Making Ruby's tail start to rattle, and her eye to twitch, yang just activated on of Ruby's triggers, she hates it when people say there entitled to something*

Ruby: entitled.... you think your entitled? Well let me tell you something, yang Xiao fucking long. you can't handle the truth, but you want it? Fine, here it is. Here's the truth of the rose of vacuo, the truth on what your precious little sister has to do, in order to save lives

*Pyrrha gulped looking between yang and Ruby, part of her wanted to get ruby out of there to calm down, but the other part, knows if she does that, ruby will clam up and keep this anger she has suppressed*

Ruby:yang, we live in a world that allows slavery, and let's unimaginable horrors happen,

*Ruby said coldly, she was annoyed that yang wasn't calming down, ruby felt Pyrrha's hand on her shoulder, she took a calming breath and kept her gaze at yang*

Ruby: because the people causing them, have the money to get away with it. So tell Me, who's gonna help the slaves? You? You Xiao long? When all you do is party, and goof off?

*Ruby spat out with a sneer, she walked to her sister and jab her finger on Yang's chest as hard as she could*

Ruby:while I have a greater responsibility then you can possibly fathom, you weep for this man, and you curse what I do, you have that luxury, you have the luxury of not Knowing what I know, that Catnap's death while tragic saved lives, and my actions while grotesque, and incomprehensible to you, saves lives

*Ruby said shooting yang a glare, having people questioning her methods was a big trigger for ruby, Pyrrha learned this with major, and now yang is learning it with raven*

Ruby:you don't want the truth, because in places you don't talk about in those damn clubs you go to, you want me to do this, you need me to do this, you think that all I do Is save slaves, but I don't, and I don't have the time, or the inclination to explain myself to a girl who rises and sleeps with the happiness of not having to lift a finger helping slaves, and then complaints on the methods I use to free them

*Ruby started pacing to get off her frustration of having another person, not understand immediately that there's more to being a rose then just saving people, and as always yang was looking at ruby, with the same look the rest look at her when, when they see that dark side of the rose of vacuo. A look of disgust, she may hide it behind those eyes but it's there*

Ruby: I would rather you just say thank you, and went on your way, otherwise you pick up that weapon, and start saving slaves the "right way" either way, i don't give a damn, WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE ENTITLED TO!!
