*ruby woke with the warmth of a blanket instead of the cold air of the morning, she slowly got up, and looked around, she was in a tent instead of a rooftop, she got out and saw Pyrrha picking at the fire with a stick.*

Ruby:when...when did we get back to camp? When did you build the camp?

Pyrrha:oh! Ruby good morning, how are you feeling?

*Pyrrha asked looking at ruby with a smile, she patted the spot in the log next to her, and ruby sat down next to her, she grabbed the pot of coffee Pyrrha made and started pouring herself a cup*

Ruby:things are...quiet, I'm not used to my brain being so....quiet... Not even with the booze

Pyrrha:oh, well that's wonderful! I'm so glad the pills are already working there magic. Oh and about what you asked. After you fell asleep, I carried you to the camp, I set it up before I came to look for you, there's also some jerky and dried fruits in my backpack, you must be hungry

*Pyrrha asked pushing the backpack with her leg to ruby, ruby started to look for the food*

Ruby: should've brought that bird Grimm I killed, the meat would've been good protein

Pyrrha:you... you've eating Grimm? But you have a Grimm as a pet, isn't that, I don't know, kinda messed up?

*Pyrrha asked with a raised eyebrow, ruby snorted finding Pyrrha's naiveness cute*

Ruby:this is vacuo angel, there's not a lot of options over here, we eat what we can get. Also what do you think I feed Zwei? His diet are fish, roots, berries and Grimm, but don't tell oobleck that, he won't leave me alone with the questions if you do

Pyrrha:cool, cool, cool, cool, coooool. So, I see you got new guns. What happened to your old one's?

*Pyrrha asked confused, ruby took one of her jackals out and gave it to Pyrrha*

Ruby:needed an upgrade, after....my last mission, self and defense just aren't gonna cut it anymore. So the major, gave me these weapons as a reward....for following through with the mission completely

Pyrrha: I see, and what's so good about this guns? I mean, apart that there more modern

*Pyrrha asked, just wanting to ignore the elephant in the room as long as possible, ruby started explaining everything max told her about her new weapons, and Pyrrha was impressed by them*

Pyrrha:so, is he gonna provide the ammo for you?

Ruby:yup, good deal, I mess with his competition and in return I get new guns

*Ruby said glancing around, she was waiting for rose or penny to appear, but they didn't. It was all just quiet, eerily quiet, the only noise ruby could hear was Pyrrha talking, and the crackle of the fire*

Ruby:I'm sorry, what did you say? I didn't quite hear that.

Pyrrha:I said, did you really fight a, A ranked Grimm while you were injured, instead of running?

*Pyrrha asked with a smile, ruby was starting to feel uncomfortable and looked at another direction.*

Ruby:I...it wasn't that bad, it was quite the easy fight

Pyrrha:really? Then why don't you tell me what happened?

Flashback

Ruby:ok...ok, this is what you wanted. Something to distract yourself, well you got it...

*Ruby said taking a few shuttering breaths to calm down, she grabbed the twin jackals and pointing them at the pounding door, her gaze turned cold, as she's about to do what she does best, Grimm hunting. The grim broke open the door and screeched at ruby, ruby started shooting at her, jumping out of the way, the bird grim whipped it's tail at ruby, it had enough strength and forced to pushed ruby to the wall grunting, she would scream but the air was literally punched out of her stomach. It felt as if she was whipped with barbed wire*

Ruby:and your a A rank huh? What rotten luck, heh what other kind of luck do I have?

*Ruby said with a crooked smile, blood coming down her mouth, the bird screeched again, moving at a fast, unnatural way towards ruby, ruby closed her eyes closed shut and prepared herself for a great amount of pain. She exploded into a hurricane of petals and dashed out of the way, when the bird made contact with the wall, it broke it. Causing him to go blind with all the dust that caused. The bird felt an extra 95 lbs on top of him*

Back to the present

Pyrrha:you only weigh 95 lbs? Ruby with your age and height that's very concerning, you should be around 128 lbs at the minimum

Ruby:so I'm 33 pounds underweight, what's the big deal? Now are you gonna let me continue the story or not?

*Ruby asked with a raised eyebrow. Pyrrha had a ner concern in mind, but she put it in her back pocket, to tell Glynda when they get back. But she was gonna make sure that ruby, ate all the food Pyrrha brought for the journey, and then some*

Back to the past

Ruby:come on you poor excuse of a horse! Let's see what your momma gave yah?!

*The bird screamed as it moved around harshly to get ruby off, but she was holding, the bird flew to the roof and slammed it's back, and to extension ruby to the brick roof, ruby grunted, but it was the Grimm who screamed in pain, since that action just made ruby to hold on to the bird even tighter, her reptilian hand, piercing the bird's flesh, ruby aimed her gun and shot it, ruby had to admit, she was impressed, these new babies blew one of the Grimm's wings right off. The Grimm screamed in pain, finally managing to throw ruby off him, as ruby was free falling she aimed her guns at the bird's head, she whistled to get it's attention and she got it*

Ruby:jackpot

*Ruby said before firing both shots at the same time, both at the same eye, the bullet went right through the Grimm making a hole at the back of it's head. Ruby smirked, until she fell right in a couple of rotten wooden barrels, she groaned in pain as she could feel all the splinters her body now had. She struggled to get up, but when she did, she saw her pain attracted more Grimm towards her, she chuckled and aimed her guns at them*

Ruby:even injured I can take y'all on, so c'mere

Present

Pyrrha:you did all that and your still alive?!

Ruby:....ok no, I just shot him in-between the eyes, he was also the only one to show up. But, after that I just kept shooting it until I was out off bullets and screamed, having a total mental breakdown again

*Ruby said dryly, not liking the fact that she's been so emotionally fragile in such a short time. Pyrrha looked at ruby with concern, until ruby just huffed amused*

Ruby:but the legend that's gonna spread is gonna be the story I told you

*Ruby said with a small grin, Pyrrha looked at her with a look of both annoyance and amusement*

Pyrrha;the legend?

Ruby:it comes with the job, of being the feared rose of vacuo, i can't tell you the amount of my adventures, that's been.... Over romanticized. To put it nicely

*Ruby said with a huff, thinking of all the stories where word of mouth changed the story completely, like how she did the impossible, killing the 7 Jenkins brothers with 1 bullet. The real story was that she just poisoned them while they slept *

Ruby:it's not a bad thing mind you, that means people think I'm more powerful and dangerous then I'm really am

Pyrrha:I guess that makes sense, the others aren't here yet, what do you want to do?

*Pyrrha asked, she noticed the slight redness on Ruby's ears, she coughed a little since she was doing something rare, she was letting herself be vulnerable*

Ruby: I....i wouldn't mind sleeping some more. With....someone else in my tent

Pyrrha:oh? Well I am a little tired, I don't see why we can't sleep together, it's a bit of a chilly morning, but what about them?

*Pyrrha pointed to miracle and Zwei, who followed Pyrrha to the camp. Ruby hummed and gave them a small whistle to get there attention*

Ruby:you two, momma's fine, go play

*Ruby said with a bit of pep in her tone, to show them she was fine, Zwei started acting like a puppy, jumping exited around miracle, happy to have her friend back. Miracle gave a horse snort and left running, with Zwei chasing after her, both just playing. Pyrrha glanced at ruby, and saw the smile on her face, seeing both of them so happy. Pyrrha smiled at that, and got up stretching, she looked fully at ruby and gave her a crooked smile*

Pyrrha:well, let's go to sleep, chances are. Our team will be here by the time we wake up

Ruby: alright, thanks for the food. And...the other stuff too I guess

*Ruby muttered, walking fast to the tent, Pyrrha smile grew brighter as she followed along with her*

Later with team JWBY

*We see there horses walking a slow trot to where they saw the smoke coming, unfortunately for team JWBY, they had to ride with the professor, without ruby and her zero fucks to give attitude. Aka no one could shut him up*

Oobleck:in conclusion history is good, ignorance is bad, there for read a book!

Jaune:oh thank God! I...I mean hey i see there camp site!

*Jaune said pointing forward, every cheered, even Weiss was cheering, she loved history, but this was too much even for her.*

Weiss:sparkle shine, gallop!

*Weiss said desperate, to get some shut eye. The horse followed weiss's command and ran to the camp, the other horses saw one of there own running, and like lemmings they all galloped with him. Once there, they all climbed down the horse and looked around,*

Oobleck:well, let's set out tents up, and then we're off

Weiss:actually sir, I believe that I should stay behind, you know to take care of miss rose. Like you said, we had to keep an eye on them

*Weiss said walking backwards to the only set up tent, everyone minus professor oobleck was giving her unamused expressions. But Weiss didn't care. She opened the tent and gave a small eep, closing it quickly, her face completely blushed*

Yang: the hell is up with you?

Weiss:n..nothing! Let's just go, especially oobleck and Jaune

*Weiss said glaring at the poor boy who didn't even do anything. Blake and yang both glanced at each other and then at Weiss's blushing face. They walked to the tent and pushed Weiss aside, they opened it and saw the reason for Weiss's blushing face*

Blake"oh crap, this is not gonna be good"

*Blake thought, as in front of her was ruby and Pyrrha sleeping together, now that would be fine, except well.... Ruby's little tendency of sleeping in the nude. Yang's eye was twitching, seeing Pyrrha's arms wrapped around her naked sister's body, and her eyes went from there normal purple, to her angry red, as her hair started to rise, and be spark on fire*

Yang: PYRRHA, GET OF MY SISTER!!!
