*Penny had her eyes covered by a cloth as ruby held her hand and took the lead*

Penny:where are you taking me rosy?

Ruby: it'll be worth it, remember when you said you've never seen the night sky?

*Ruby asked, it was a fake story penny had to memorize so that her target would sympathize with her*

Penny:yeah? The sun hurt when I first saw it

Ruby:well I'm gonna fix that

*Ruby said, penny could tell there was excitement behind her voice, penny gave a small chuckle*

Penny;but, I've already seen the night sky at the shack

Ruby:yeah, but not like this trust me. Ok where here

*Ruby took Penny's blindfold off and pointed up, Penny looked and her eyes widen. Unlike atlas that suffered from light pollution, in vacuo there was very little of that. And ruby had taken her to the best spot, for stargazing*

Back to the present

Penny: shut up....

*Penny said as she took another swing harder then the last one, this one missed and destroyed a chair in it's place*

Ruby:how about when you celebrated my birthday, I know you remember that!

*Again Penny's eyes started to glitch out as she drop one of her weapon feeling a massive headache*

Quick flashback

*Ruby returned to the shack she calls home with a frustrating sigh, penny made her to errands all day, Zwei raised her head seeing her and gave a small roar as hello, ruby smiled softly at her pet*

Ruby:hey baby, Mama's home...

*Ruby mumbled as she opened the door and was instantly bombarded by a yell*

Penny: surprised!!!

*Penny screamed with a big smilez ruby looked around and there was a banner and a cake for 2. Ruby raised her eyebrow at her, and penny just kept smiling*

Ruby:penny, what is this?

Penny:it's your birthday silly, I know you can't remember the date, so! I decided that from now on this day shall be your birthday

Back to the present

Penny:I said shut up...!

*Penny's attacks were becoming sloppy making it easier for ruby to dodge, ruby managed to push penny against the wall holding her wrists*

Ruby: remember... remember when I gave you, your first kiss?

*Ruby said her face close to Penny, she could clearly see her eyes glitching in and out from green to red*

flashback

*Ruby opened the door to there shack and helped penny inside, they just saved some slaves but it was a struggle. Both of them were injured, but penny had the worse of it. Ruby as gently as she could place penny on the bed, ruby sat down on the only chair, really it was just a stool and looked at Penny rather miffed at her*

Ruby:it was a stupid thing you did, you know I could heal myself. So why did you do it?

Penny:because your my friend ruby, I didn't think, it was all just reaction.

*Penny said honestly, she long since changed her motive, she met the real ruby and wanted to protect her, she realized this the second before she took the attack for her. Ruby sighed and petted her hair*

Ruby;it was still a stupid thing penpen, your my best friend. I don't want you to die, if anyone is gonna die it's gonna be me.

Penny:you've told me before, I'm...I'm not gonna lie I was scared, I saw my life flash before my eyes. I still want to do so much before I die

*Penny said as she adjusted herself, she winced a bit. Ruby helped her get more comfortable, she ended up petting Penny's hair*

Ruby:heh, yeah like what?

Penny:your not gonna like it

*Penny admitted with a sigh, ruby clicked her tongue and shrugged, giving penny a crooked smile*

Ruby:I don't like a lot of things, what's one more?

Penny;I....I want to have my first kiss

*Penny saw Ruby's face change to a frown, ruby didn't meet Penny's gaze, she just sighed hugging herself*

Ruby:believe me penny, your not missing anything....

Penny:ruby...

*Penny raised her hand and placed it gently on Ruby's cheek, ruby just sighed and melted at her touch. Ruby trusted her completely and let every vulnerability show. But also every secret*

Penny; I'm.... I'm so sorry, that thing destroyed that part of you, but to kiss someone, to share something so magical with someone you trust and care about completely it's....

*Penny eyes widen when ruby kissed her. Penny quickly melted into the kiss and kissed back, ruby let go of Penny's lips. It was only for a few seconds, but both of them were out of breath and there faces flushed with redness*

Ruby:t..there, happy? It's just a kiss. Your not missing a whole lot

Penny:w..well I can I can take that out of my bucket list

*Penny said with a light chuckle, ruby on the other hand, she could hear him, she could smell his cheap beer breath, she could see the memories of when HE stook her first kiss her....her first everything. But a hand on her lap brought her back to the real world*

Penny:you shouldn't have done that, I know that it brought back some bad memories for you

Ruby:it's fine, trust me. Your more then worth it

*Ruby said taking a few breath before giving penny a crooked smile*

Ruby:I.... I'll admit, kissing a girl is better. Your ...your lips are really soft penpen

Penny; yours....are really dry and broken

*Ruby's blushed became brighter and more embarrassed, she got up and walked out while penny giggled at her, she sighed and touched her lips. The warmth of Ruby's own still there she couldn't help but smile As her heart was still pumping as fast as a war drum*

Penny:but they felt nice....

Back to the present

Penny;I said shut up!!! Your lying! Get the hell out of my head!!

*Penny head-butted ruby, it made ruby let go and take a few steps back stumbling, penny started screaming as she pulled on her one hair*

Ruby:I know your remember it! They didn't take away your memories, there locked inside of you! Search for them!

*ruby said with her voice cracking, she wanted her friend back more then anything. her eyes started looking like a flash show, quickly turning from red to green as the battle continued inside of her, the concealed files breaking open as more and more memories started to flood her*

Ruby:you were my best friend penny, I loved you! You were the first person that made me think that I COULD be better , that I could be fixed!

Penny;shut up I hate you!! You killed me, you killed me!! It was you, You YOU!!!

*Penny screamed as tears of frustration were falling from her face, memories of what was, and what was made up flashing inside her, making penny feel extremely overwhelmed*

Ruby:lies! They polluted your mind penny! Look into your memories, you know I'm telling the truth. I would never harm you!

Penny;raaaahhhh!!!!

*Penny yelled in a attempt to stop the madness that was going on inside her head, she rat at ruby holding her waist as they  both fell on the hole, ruby hugged penny holding her tightly as she turned them both into a hurricane of rose petals to soften the landing. Both of them landed and the lesser force separated them, Penny's sword went spinning away from her as her gun self spin away from ruby*

Pyrrha: ruby!

Ruby: I'm fine, concentrate!

*Ruby said as she quickly took her gun out and shot it, the bullet clashing against Winter's sword disarming her, winter didn't let that stop her as she dodged the fire balls coming from cinder*

Winter:penny. Get up and help me finish this!

Ruby:don't listen to her penny, you know the truth! You know who really killed you, just look inside of that Brian of yours and find the memory!

*Ruby spat out as she started helping Nora and mercury shooting down the atlas soldiers that were starting to overwhelm them*

Mercury;glad you can join us, we're really in a creek without a paddle

Ruby:less complaining, more proving that your worth a damn!

*ruby growled as she ran out of bullets, she slashed an atlas soldier with her reptilian arm ripping the armor like it was tissue paper. Ruby jumped out of the way of Nora's hammer as the force was enough to send the soldiers flying down. Ruby turned around just in time to see penny getting up, her eyes covered. Pyrrha seeing penny raised her hand to bring her sword towards her, Pyrrha was quick to act, punching winter hard on the face, leaving her dizzy*

Pyrrha:I got here!

Ruby;Pyrrha no!!!

*But it was too late, Pyrrha used her semblance of magnetism, to throw the blade that fell to the ground straight at penny. Ruby eyes widen as she felt as if the world went in slow motion. Flashes of what happened last time filling her brain as she activates her own semblance. Ruby turned into a explosion of roses petals flying at high speed to stop the weapon, she felt her body as if it was burning since she wasn't 100%*

Ruby"no, no, no!! Not again, I won't let it happen again!"

*Ruby thoughts were growing more desperate as the weapon got closer and closer to penny, penny turned around and her eyes widen at the blade coming closer to her, too close to user her own semblance to stop it. Ruby knew she wasn't fast enough to take both of them out of the way, with determination behind her actions she stopped her speed in front of penny and took the blade for her, Ruby's team gasped and pyrrha covered her mouth with her hand over what she indirectly caused*

Ruby:gah!!

*Ruby screamed as the blade pierced her body, the once green blade turned red being covered by ruby's blood*
