Now hours later

*The day ended and ruby has yet to leave her room in Glynda's home. We see Glynda in front of the door as she knocked on it*

Ruby:just come in

*Glynda heard from the other side, Glynda opened the door and as expected the room was a mess with things broken on the floor, she looked at ruby who was doing pulls ups in the closet*

Glynda:I'm not gonna ask what happened to the room. But why are you doing pull ups?

Ruby:because I can't do anything else to calm me down. I can't shoot since my guns are at beacon, I can't ride since I've yet to fix miracle, I can't snuggle since it's far too late to visit Zwei, i can't sleep since thanks to pyrrha I know memories of what that sick fuck did to me will be fresh in my mind when I'm off to dream land

*Ruby said with venom in her tone as she grunted, she's being doing pull ups for hours just trying to keep her mind distracted, by the burning pain of her tired arms. Glynda of course noticed that ruby didn't call Pyrrha "angel" but she waited for ruby to finish*

Ruby:and most importantly I can't drink because of the fucking medication I'm on. So I'm doing this.

Glynda:and I imagine that talking about it is the last thing you want to do?

*Glynda said and as expected, ruby gave out a bitter, harsh but tired laugh*

Ruby:talk about shit you already knew about? Come on your a smart women, you know first hand what people do to slaves, only difference is you do nothing to stop it

Glynda;now that's just not true I...

*Ruby cut her off as she kept talking, almost monologuing to herself, a small part of Glynda wondered if ruby was talking to her, or herself*

Ruby;oh sure, you'll speak out. Say how the practice is vile and disgusting, but when it comes down to it, you'll do next to nothing to change things, since it doesn't affect you, it's the same with every other mother fucker who's truly free. Since it doesn't affect them they don't care.

*Ruby drops to the floor, now that she finally finished the burning sensation in her arms hit her twice as hard*

Ruby;Me? Oh I'm different i actually make a difference, but the second, the moment they find out that there precious hero isn't as amazing as they thought she was then it all suddenly changed. Since now I'M the bad guy right?!

*Ruby said with a sneere, she started pacing around the room letting her frustrations out*

Ruby:since I don't save everybody that suddenly means that everything I did suddenly doesn't count!? Because yeah fuck me, I don't get to feel good about saving people, since I'm letting others suffer. Well who the hell are they to judge me?! I'm just 15 years old god damn it!!!

*Ruby punched the wall or tried too, ruby looked up at glynda, Ruby's fist was in the palm of her hand. Glynda just saved ruby from breaking her fingers, since unlike Ruby's old wooden home, Glynda's was made of bricks. Ruby flinched when Glynda rubbed her hand, trying to give the small care some comfort. But ruby was quick to pull her hand away, looking down at the ground*

Ruby:I'm...I'm just 15 years old. And I did a good thing, I've spend 5 years saving people, I've saved thousands by making that deal, so why does that make me a bad person? Why does everybody looks at me with disgust when they figure out the truth, why....

*Ruby placed her hands on her face and rubbed her eyes as tears started to fall more, she sniffled and hiccups. Glynda walked up to her and hugged her, pulling her in close, ruby hugged Glynda and wept on her chest*

Glynda:shhhhh, it's all gonna be ok...

Ruby:unless I die no, it's not...

*Ruby managed to croak out while she cried, as the final stage of alcohol withdrawal for ruby was reached, she had nowhere to run, nothing to distract herself, no, All her demons finally caught up to her. With The rose of vacuo locked away until ruby takes a sip of cactus Juice, this is ruby rose, the real ruby rose. the real ruby finally came out. A girl with deep depression, a girl with anxiety, a girl who even after everything she just want to help out, a girl who feels unlovable, And a girl that feels that she's beyond saving*

Scene change

Glynda: here you go

*Glynda said handing ruby a cup of hot chocolate, with whip on the top, ruby drank from it, while glynda sat on the other side with a cup of tea in her hand*

Glynda:now I believe it's time we talked about this

Ruby:what's there to talk about? I was his slave, I was used by him, He's dead, it's over. So please stop acting like you care

Glynda:ruby I do care

Ruby:no. You care ruby the daughter of summer rose, you don't give 2 shits about ruby the person. If I wasn't that woman's daughter you wouldn't have offered me a place to stay, you wouldn't be patience with me,

*Tears of frustration over everything started to fall from Ruby's face as she got on glyndas face, hating the fact that she still acted so calm, while ruby was having a small meltdown*

Ruby:you wouldn't be doing anything for me but the bare minimum. Your helping me because you feel obligated, not because you actually want to

Glynda:I won't lie to you, that is part of it. But there's more then that

Ruby:then tell me, you want me to open up? Then how about you open up first, give me something personal that I can latch on too

*Glynda expression changed to a more concerning one, but she nodded. She got up and signaled ruby to follow her, which she did. They climbed up to the attic and instantly ruby saw things that didn't add up. an opened opened box that had some baby toys and clothes in it, a crib, etc. ruby heard Glynda open up a safe and taking out some pictures and documents*

Glynda:when I was younger, me and....someone close to me got drunk and slept together....

*Glynda began as she didn't look at ruby, she just kept looking at the picture. Ruby slowly walked next to her*

Glynda:we didn't use any protection, and I've gotten pregnant. I was so exited and told him, but he wanted no part in raising a child. I didn't care, I was more then willing to raise it by myself,except.... Except there were complications. The baby wasn't being made correctly, and if....if I didn't abort it it would put my life in danger and had a good chance of killing me. So I did, my daughter was never going to survive the outside but that doesn't make me feel any better at what I lost

*Glynda said as she passed the picture on to ruby, Glynda on the other hand cleaned the tears that kept falling remembering that event in her life*

Glynda:this is the other reason I'm helping you, it might be toxic but in projecting my unborn child to you, I'm treating you like my daughter since I never got to have that experience and a small part of me wanted that more then anything

Ruby;that's....a really fucked up reason

*Ruby said, she tried to make it sound light, as a joke. But she couldn't, she didn't have the energy for it. Glynda just chuckled as she slowly took the picture back. She gave it one more look before putting back in a safe*

Glynda:I supposed it is, but I also supposed is a good enough reason for you to open up to me, giving that your also fucked up?

Ruby: I....

*Ruby sighed and rubbed her arm. She bite down on her lip a little as she was having a mental battle with herself over what to do*

Ruby:keep....keep the questions short, it's been a long day

*Ruby muttered weakly, glynda smiled softly proud that ruby took a big step for her, she placed her hand on Ruby's shoulder and spoke gently*

Glynda:you have my word, but let's have this short discussion in my room. Since it'll be where we are most comfortable, and I don't feel good about making you sleep in a room with glass on it

Ruby:I've slept in much worse places

*Ruby muttered, Glynda grabbed her hand and lead her to her room. Ruby walking slightly behind Glynda kept her gaze on Glynda's hand, it felt nice, warm even. For a few seconds ruby was able to have a shy smile on her face and feel normal again*

Raven:as always, not strong enough to deal with your nightmares yourself huh?

*Like a said, for a few seconds. That chip always knew when best to activated and make ruby remember, remember that no matter what she does she'll never be fully free. Ruby frowned as the words of raven distracted ruby from the warmth of Glynda's gesture*
