*We see her holding one of her daughters like if she let's go of her she'll die, the girl that reminded Salem of the spring placed both of her tiny hands on salem's cheek and smiled brightly at here*

Spring:why so sad mommy? You look so pretty, daddy is just being a meanie

*Salem gave out a wet chuckle as she kissed springs little forehead and smiled*

Salem:thank you honey, it makes me so happy that you think I'm pretty

Spring:not just me! Summer, fall and winter we all think your pretty!

*Spring said with as much confidence as the little girl could muster, it made a tear fall from her eye. Sadly, Salem's little moment was interrupted by the door being opened*

*Salem didn't even move her head as she heard the door opening, coming in was a mustachio man. Y the name of Arthur Watts, Arthur walked in with a frown *

Arthur:the meeting will begin in a few minutes

Salem;I'll be there, now get out before you regret, entering my chambers without permission

*Arthur nodded giving a small bow before walking away. Salem's eyes never left the little trinket in her arms, the stuff animal of her youngest daughter*

*Salem rubbed the small stuffed animal, with a neutral expression. What once brought her joy, then anger, then regret, much later sadness. Now? She just feels almost numb do it as it was a trinket from a time she'll never be able to go back to*

Salem;my little spring baby

*Salem said softly, the name of said baby lost to the sands of time. So many centuries has passed, it got to the point that Salem has forgotten her own daughters names, and just calls them by what there semblance reminded her off*

Salem: I'll be on my way.

*Salem said Putting the little stuff toy on the drawer of her nightstand, right next to the picture of her daughters, she turned around and walked away she had more important things to take care off, instead of reminiscing of a world long passed*

*Ruby placed the weights down, she looked at the bunny girl and the red head leader with a raised eyebrow*

Ruby:velvet, a pleasure as always, P it's nice seeing a familiar face

*Pyrrha looked at ruby surprised, almost shocked. Ruby's tone, she still had that vacuo southern accent behind it, but it was softer, less hostile, Pyrrha smiled seeing it as a improvement. Ruby on the other hand was just tired, without the cactus juice the nightmare, the memories of what happened to her just don't stop, it left her with very little energy do actually keep her guards up or keep people at a distance*

Pyrrha: hello ruby, you look well

Ruby:then my appearance is lying, since I feel like shit

*Ruby said as she walked passed them and sat on the couch, velvet soon joined her and pyrrha looked at glynda*

Glynda: she's going through alcohol withdrawal, at the moment she's on the shaking stage

Pyrrha: shaking?

*Pyrrha turned her head at ruby who whistled to her, ruby had her arm raised holding a cup with water on it. Ruby's hand couldn't be still as it was shaking quite a bit, almost spilling the water a few times*

Ruby:not the first time I get the shakes. Can't wait for the hallucinations, since SOMEONE won't get me my cactus juice

Glynda:my apologies miss rose, truly I am. But until you finish the medicine you aren't allowed to have a drop of alcohol. If you do we would have to start this all over again from the start do you want that?

*Glynda said in a firm tone, ruby mumbled something unintelligible but ultimately agreed, still a small fear was growing inside her, as it's very few the times she's been without alcohol running through her veins. And those few times the hallucinations almost cost her, her own life*

Velvet:oh! Right I made you some cookies! I hope your not allergic to chocolate, wait are snakes allergic to chocolate?

*Ruby said as she grabbed a cookie and ate it whole, she shrugged and grabbed another one*

Ruby:feel alright, good cookies

Glynda: ejem?

Ruby:t...thank you for the cookies....

*Ruby muttered softly but velvet still smiled at her, ruby licked her lips a little still not even close do being use to being polite. Pyrrha decided to sit down next to
Ruby and grab a cookie for herself and ate it*

Pyrrha:mhm ruby is right this are delightful, can you give me recipe?

Velvet:o..oh uh, sorry it's kinda like a family recipe hahaha

*Velvet said with a wave of her hand and a awkward smile on her face*

Velvet"can't tell them it was yang who gave me the recipe. God only knows how ruby would react do that"

*Velvet thought with an awkward smile as ruby took another cookie from the recipe she hasn't tasted since she was 4. Her own mother's special cookies*

Ruby:so angel, how's things been in beacon?

Pyrrha:o..oh, uh well...things are...still calming down, from your little stunt people are... certainly getting an opinion on you

*Now it was pyrrha's turn to have an awkward smile, ruby looked up at her she did not look amused, she looked at glynda with a raised eyebrow. Glynda just sighed*

Glynda:from the reports I've gathered, team CRDL has been spreading rumors about you and not the good kind

Ruby:I see. Angel, never lie, I would rather live in the misery that is the real world then live in some sort of illusion.

*Ruby said as her mind was playing a nasty trick on her picturing a picture of her own mother smiling down at her*

*It made ruby frown deeply thinking of the woman who didn't care for her enough to stay. With a small shake of her head she looked at Pyrrha*

Pyrrha:right, my apologies. It's just that your in recovery and well, I don't want to make it worse

Ruby:angel face, I'm currently relieving every single thing that sick bastard did to me while I was his property. It can't get any worse then that

*Pyrrha flinched and bit her underlip, ruby showed no signs of remembering what she told her, it ate pyrrha up inside*

Pyrrha"I need to tell her, the longer I keep this hiding the more mad she'll be with me. But....I...I just can't, not now while she's recovering, I'll...I'll tell her when she's all better"

*Pyrrha thought, she didn't noticed she was bitting her hard a bit of blood was starting to come down her lip, ruby noticed it and cleaned it with her thumb. The action brought Pyrrha back to reality and made her blush in embarrassment*

Pyrrha:sorry, got a little to in my head. What were we talking about?

Ruby:bunny girl over here wanted to hear another one of my adventures in the old South of this world, can't say I have many all that interesting all of them sorta blend together. Find slaves, kill slavers, tell slaves where they'll be safe, rinse and repeat

*Ruby said with a dismissive hand thinking of her life as the rose of vacuo, it was a repetitive one, but one she wouldn't trade for anything. Even if it's that routine that'll one day kill her by a stronger slave owner. Velvet just smiled exited to hear more tales from the person who saved her*

Velvet:oh I don't mind. I just love hearing that you actually save slaves, unlike the white fang that's all talk and no action

Ruby:well that's not true they do go into action, causing blind destruction and convincing themselves that there actions are actually changing the world

*Velvet and ruby both laughed, while Pyrrha only smiled politely since she couldn't really speak on this topic. Ruby finished with a sigh*

Ruby: anyway there is this one story I could tell, I had to pretend to be the singer of this club, so that I could get close to a kingpin of the slave cartel back in vacuo

Velvet:is he dead?

Ruby:sadly no, the man's paranoia worked in his favor that night, his right hand went in his stead. I did kill the right hand though making him nothing more then another notch on my gun

*Ruby said with a small smirk going for her gun but just touching her thighs as self and defense were back at beacon*

Ruby:remind me again why you can't just bring me my guns ?

Glynda;I'm not gonna have you shoot up the place when we reach the hallucinations, or threaten me with them when you're desperate enough to have alcohol

*Ruby grumbled but turned to velvet who was smiling kindly at her offering her another cookie, ruby took it and ate it*

Ruby:anyway, this is the story I like to call the strange fruit...

*Ruby began to tell her tale and whine pyrrha did listen, a part of her was just happy to see ruby act so normal, almost happy to talk do someone, instead of her have buzzed harsh state she always has on*

"Ruby:mh... getting raped for years by that sick fuck Jake...."

*Pyrrha gulped as what she wanted to talk about with ruby became a little bigger in her mind, but again seeing ruby in such a state. Pyrrha didn't have the heart to tell her*

Ruby:and there I was with so much make up on, to hide the scales on my face and neck. The light right under me as I started singing....

Pyrrha"I'll talk to her, of that I promise. But not today, I want her to have today as a good memory..."
