Last time

* Instead of her old house she was back on that shack, ruby turned back in to the little girl she was and took a shuttering breath feeling the weight of a drunk Jake on top of her*

Jake:time to enjoy myself....

*While the nightmare/very real memory played out all ruby could do was endure it*

Now

6 days later

*It's been 6 days, 6 days of ruby being in a coma like state while the semblance/surgery patched ruby up, 6 days without cactus juice so that means 6 days of ruby being in a literal unending nightmare of being abused in a number of ways by jake without the luxury of waking up from the shock. So when the semblance from the doctor finally fizzled out of Ruby's system ruby was finally allowed to wake up*

In the nurse office

*Ruby groaned feeling as if her chest was on fire. She slowly opened her eyes to see the white room she looked out at the window and smelled the air. Ruby grunting sat straight on the bed and just looked at the wall, she was holding her reptile's arm wrist trying to get her bearings in order after 6 days of none stop mental torture from her sever PTSD filled brain*

*It took a few minutes before ruby shook her head and gave her best attempt at a smirk*

Ruby:morning huh. Wonder if anyone's awake

*Ruby said to herself as she slowly sat down on the bed and looked at the tube that was connected to her arm with what can only be the IV bag. She grabbed hold to the stand holding the bag and used it to support herself up. She grunted feeling extremely weak from lack of food so she had her first mission. As she started walking that poison of her dreams managed to sip out to the land of the awake*

Jake:how pathetic, the little toy couldn't even heal herself

Raven:summer would already be healed up, like always such a disappointment to her legacy

*Ruby's whole body started to tremble as the voice of both of her tormentors filled her heads, instead of the cafeteria ruby made a straight line to her room. Ignoring the hunger that was only getting worse*

Ruby:I'm not weak, I can handle it, I'm not weak I can handle it. I've been starving before this is nothing new

*Ruby muttered to herself ignoring the look everyone around her was giving her. She opened the door and was thankful that her dorm room was empty, she went to her nightstand and opened it seeing her flask there, she quickly opened it almost dropping it with how much her hands were trembling, she took a swing and didn't stop until the metal device was more then half empty. Ruby held her ears tightly to block the noises of the voices as she took a big breath and waited for the alcohol to take affect. After 7 minutes she sighed content as she couldn't hear there voices anymore*

Ruby:your fine, your fine, everything is fine....

*Ruby kept repeating to herself as she laid down and just let the alcohol make it's way throughout her bloodstream*

Scene change

*team JWBY and team Amazon was in the dining room of UA, they were eating normally yang looking a little moody picking at her food. Weiss gave a sigh and looked at her*

Weiss:what is it now yang?

Yang:it's been 6 days how much longer till she wakes up.

Blake:yang she had surgery yesterday to fix her lungs. she's Not just gonna magically walked through that door

*They all looked at the door as it was opened. But it was just Cardin and his team*

Blake:see? Just relax, she'll wake up when her body is ready

Yang:sigh, I know I'm just pissed off, Glynda is such a pain just because I lost my cool. Like no shit I lost my cool my sister was in her death bed!!

Weiss:that's still no reason to do what you did. Honestly what goes on In that head of yours, have you no sense of thinking before you act?

*Weiss kept chastising her while the table kept eating. Blake glanced up at Pyrrha who looked like she hasn't gotten a good night sleep in a while*

Blake;are you alright pyrrha?

Pyrrha:hm? O..oh...not really if I'm being honest I just....really hope ruby wakes up soon. We...we have some things to discuss

*Pyrrha said with a scowl, over the last 6 days that little piece of information on Ruby's life kept eating away at her*

Blake:oh? What about, if you don't mind me asking

Pyrrha;I'm sorry but I can't say. It's.. not my place to tell

*Now everybody was looking at her making Pyrrha even more nervous. She sighed and under the table started playing with her fingers*

Pyrrha:when....when ruby was bleeding out. She must've lowered her defenses, since she told me something that I know she would want me to keep a secret. And I need to talk to ruby about it, it's eating me up inside Knowing... the things I know

Ren:keep it a secret, it is not your secret to tell and you'll just break what little trust ruby has for you if you tell any of us whatever it is she told you

*Pyrrha just gave an exasperated sigh and looked at Ren, her eye twitching a little for the lack of sleep*

Pyrrha:I know that, it's just... I just really want to hug her and tell her everything is gonna be ok

Nora:then here's your chance, Ruby's right there in the lunch line

*Yang and pyrrha snapped there necks at the line and sure enough there was ruby, holding the stand, ruby was wearing a pair of pants and some sandals, since she had the IV bag hooked to her arm she couldn't do anything but cut the bottom half of the hospital gown and use it as a very lose fitting shirt*

Pyrrha/yang:ruby!!

*Pyrrha for up and walked as fast as she could to her, while Blake kept yang in the chair*

Blake:no yang, just no. She looks like she's in no mood to deal with anything, much less you

Weiss:agreed. For once listen to us and just give her some space

*Yang bite down on her lip hard with anxiety, she wanted more then anything to walk to ruby and just ask how she was feeling, to tell her how worried she was about her. But yang can tell the many ways that could go wrong, with a shaky breath she sat back down*

With ruby

*ruby had one hand on the stand and the other in her stomach her hunger becoming worse as the smell of the food around her was giving her a headache*

Pyrrha:ruby!

Ruby:lower your voice Angel. Seriously I already have a headache don't need you making it worse

*Pyrrha stopped next to ruby looking her up and down, ruby glanced at her and did the same*

Ruby:you look like shit

Pyrrha:and you look, like you should still be in bed. What are you doing here? What if one of your stitches pop? You just got back from surgery you need to rest

Ruby:surgery?

*Ruby opened the collar of her makeshift shirt and sure enough there as a big line in her, covered by the stitching*

Ruby:so, some quack doctor cracked me up and dug around in there huh, no wonder my chest feels like it's burning

Phrrha:yes, then please let me take you back to the nurse office, so that you can rest

*Ruby walked forward and looked at the lunch lady*

Ruby;give me whatever has the most calories and give me 8 of them. And whatever strawberry drink you have. And pyrrha I'm not going back to that place I'm fineah!

*Ruby winced and slowly bended her knees until she was in a ball taking deep breaths, her body trembling. All Pyrrha did was touch her with one finger. Pyrrha frowned deeply*

Pyrrha:you call this fine? You go into a fetal position when someone touches you

Ruby:fuck off, just help me carry my food before I pass out from hunger. Or the pain honestly don't know which would be worse

*Ruby breathed out and slowly got up, Pyrrha grabbed Ruby's tray and walked slowly next to her with a big smile. Ruby looked at her with a raised eyebrow*

Ruby:what got you so chipper?

Pyrrha:oh uh, Jaune just said he wanted to train with me this morning and I'm on cloud 9 since then

*Pyrrha said partially lying, since yes seeing jaune is one of the reasons she's happy, the other is that ruby didn't hiss or rattle her tail when Pyrrha touched her*

Pyrrha"she's getting comfortable around me! Take that Ren! I told you my way works"

*Pyrrha thought smugly as she placed the tray full of food down on the table with there team. Everyone gave there own polite hello's and Nora being Nora*

Nora:you look like shit girl

* yang glared at Nora but Ruby snorted and gave her a grin*

Ruby:right back at you, I can smell Zwei in you. Been visiting him?

Nora:yup! He really misses you, I keep trying to convince him not to come look for you but that's not gonna hold him much longer

*Ruby hummed with a small almost unnoticeable smile thinking of that big softy*

Ruby:yeah, sounds about right. I'll give him a visit after I eat

Pyrrha:no you will certainly not. After you eat your going back to bed even if I have to drag you back there. And why didn't you order room service?

*Ruby scoffed and waved her dismissively, she looked at pyrrha with a raised eyebrow*

Ruby:how in Sam Hill would I even do that?

Ren:by the tablet next to the bed, you turn it on and type in what you want to eat

Ruby:too complicated anyhow my ways better

*Ruby said with a grunt, while Ren didn't say anything but added that to his mental notes*

Ren"hm, more proof that she can't read. If this goes on I'll have to inform goodwitch so that she can help her"

Weiss:if I may say something, how is someone your age gonna be able to eat all that?

*Weiss said gesturing to the huge portions of food, ruby shrugged grabbed a strawberry and ate it*

Ruby: speed semblance, means a metabolism multiple times faster then a normal one, so I need to eat a lot to keep my strengths, and the more I eat the faster I recover now if y'all are done talking

*Ruby said before going to town with her food not even using utensils, she looked like an Animal. Weiss was absolutely disgusted looking at her, yang was a little impressed at how much she could eat, Blake, Ren and Pyrrha just ignored her trying to be polite and Nora Didn't noticed anything wrong. That's when they all some something amazing, ruby opened her mouth to the point she fit food twice the size of her head in her mouth and swallowed it like nothing happened*

Blake:how did your jaw do that?

Ruby:I'm a faun...i mean I'm not human anymore remember?

*Ruby said remembering what the white fang told her that she's a freak not a faunus*

Ruby: You may be part cat, but im part snake, so that means instead of a jaw my whole bottom part is connected by multiple stretchy ligaments. At least that's what that bastard snake told me

*Pyrrha flinched hard enough that her spoon fell to her soup, a few gave them weird glances but ruby just kept eating. Pyrrha gulped as she looked at ruby, her mouth trembled about to ask something when something beat her to the punch. As they all heard someone in pain*

Cardin:no way, there real!
