Later With Nora and Ren

*We see them reach team CRME's room and Ren knocked the door. It took a few moments for the door opened, on the other side mercury looked at the two with a raised eyebrow*

Mercury:can I help you?

Ren;I hope so, I need some things cleared up, and your team is the only one with the information I need. About what happened last night with ruby rose my teammate

*Mercury eyes quinted a little but he felt a hand in his shoulder*

Emerald:yeah, she was with us, what about it?

Ren:she's currently in the nurse office with multiple injuries. I would just like to know what happened

*Emerald moved mercury out of the way and she leaned against the door with a knowing smirk*

Emerald:she blew off some steam, that's all you need to know. And more importantly that's all your gonna know since not to be mean, but you were the reason ruby needed to blow off some steam in the first place

*Ren frowned slightly, Nora was about to say something when they all felt the room get increasingly hot. They looked at the source of the sound and it was an angry yang coming there way*

Yang:you! You are gonna tell me what you did to my sister!!

Emerald:gave her one hell of a story to tell when she gets better? Now calm the fuck down. We both know your not gonna do anything.....

*Emerald was punched to the wall cracking it and sending her aura right to the red. Emerald coughed a wincing as she slowly slid down from the the wall*

Emerald:so, it's gonna be like that huh

Mercury:oh, you done messed up, no one picks on emerald but me and neo!

*Mercury and neo got up ready to fight. Yang's glare at them became worse as her fire became hotter. Nora grinned and grabbed her hammer from out of nowhere she got in a fighting stance next to yang. Ren sighed since Nora just wanted to fight for the sake of fighting*

Nora:I'll take the grey haired one!

Neo'fine by me, I'll kick the yellow hair girl. I know my cowgirl will get a gig out of that'

Yang:you think I'm gonna give you mercy just because you can't talk?!

*Yang screamed slamming her fists together. Neo sighed, she quickly got used to talking in hand signs with ruby she forgot she was the only one who understood her. Yang was the first to jump in to action but was frozen in the air by telekinesis*

Glynda:what is the meaning of this?!

*Asked a very angered Glynda who was walking next to cinder. Emerald holding her stomach got up and walked up to the teacher*

Emerald;me and my team were defending ourselves, Xiao long attacked me out of nowhere when I refused to tell her what happened to ruby rose

Ren:sadly that's true, me and Nora just wanted to ask some questions. Yang came out of nowhere and attacked emerald when she said no

*Glynda gave a scowl at yang who looked like a wild animal that's Been caught*

Glynda;I see. Yang Xiao long that's a week of detention for you. And miss sustrai are you well?

Emerald:nothing I can't handle, my father hit me harder anyway. So can you take her away from us?

*The sound of yang struggling to escape the telekinesis could be heard throughout the room*

Yang;not until you tell me what happened to ruby!

Emerald:you left her to be killed by a group of beowolves that's what happened

*Yang flinched and that actually made her calm down looking at the floor with sadness. Glynda sighed rubbing the bridge of her nose*

Cinder:If it'll make everyone here calm down I'll show you what happened

*cinder walked inside and connected her scroll to the TV. The television turned on and they saw the boxing match with ruby vs a member of the hanma family*

Nora;Holly shit he's huge! Isn't she like completely out of his weight class?

Cinder:very, but it was a competition and ruby willingly accepted to enter the ring

*Cinder said as they all watched ruby in a one sided massacre as hanma was unforgiving in his punches against ruby. They saw Ruby's eyes being covered completely in silver eye magic, the magic was trying to heal ruby but glynda could tell it was slowing down. And what concerned Glynda the most was that ruby was laughing, she was grinning ear to ear and just looking like she's having the time of her life fighting that man*

Glynda:I've seen enough. You can turn it off

Mercury:you sure you don't want to see the end? Somehow ruby managed to win

Nora:hell yeah I want to see that!

*They kept watching ruby was holding the ropes completely out of breath, as she slowly walked away from the ropes her legs trembling not being able to keep standing but standing anyway on sheer force of will. Blood started to come out of Ruby's eye from complete overuse of the semblance. Ruby gave a scream as she pushed the eyes pass there limits as her whole right arm was surrounded by silver magic, she formed into a blur and managed to land a hit to the man's stomach hard enough to send him out of the ring and win by out of bounds*

Glynda:I see, I'll have to talk to that girl about the dangers of overusing her semblance in such a harmful way

Cinder:I think that would be best, anyway when she came back she insisted that she was fine enough to Walk on her own. And so she did, her aura must've finally ran out if she's in the medical room. Is there anything else I can help you with?

*cinder looked around, Ren gave a small bow and walked away with Nora following him*

Glynda: I'll take my leave with Xiao long. I apologize for the troubles I'll make sure she learns her lesson

Cinder:please make sure you do. I do not enjoy someone just attacking my teammate ESPECIALLY if that teammate is my girlfriend

*Cinder said with a glare since the anger was very much real at the yellow hair brute. Glynda took her away from the room*

Meanwhile with ruby

*She was still resting as the nurse was at the other side of the room checking on the girls vitals.*

Inside her mind

*we see a 4 year old ruby and a 6 year old yang watching cartoons while eating a patch of cookies summer made for them before she left. The door opened and they heard her voice*

Summer:guys I'm back! Where are my cookie monsters?

Tai:watching T.V. welcome home love

*Yang and ruby turned around just in time to see there parents kissing*

*it made ruby giggle and yang to fake puke*

Yang:gross mom is gonna catch Daddy's cooties!

Tai:oh don't worry, she's had all her shots. Now what are you two doing? Come on give your mother a hug!

*Tai said with his usual bright smile yang grinned and ran up to summer hugging her left leg, while ruby hugged her right leg"*

Ruby;I missed  mommy! You were gone a real long time!

Summer:I know baby. Ozpin wanted to talk to me so I had to go to beacon

*Summer grabbed ruby and hugged her tightly, she missed her little girl so much*

Tai:what did ozpin want?

Summer:he wanted me to do some solo mission but I told him no. I needed to be here for my girls

*Summer hugged ruby tighter. But ruby stopped smiling, she looked around as it all clicked in her mind and she shook her head slowly*

Ruby:wait...this...this isn't real... this isn't how it happened....you left to meet ozpin and.... and you never came back....

*summer stopped smiling as The world stopped and all color disappeared from it. In a instant ruby grew back to her original 15 year old self looking at her mother. Summer looked at her with a sad smile*

Summer:....sadly no. I'm the doctor's semblance, I took the form that would be pleasing for you while I do my work healing you up so I'm really a mental representation of your mother how you remember her, But who is to say you cannot enjoy the euphoria of what could have been, even if only for a moment?

*Ruby pushed summer away from her and hugged herself. She couldn't look at her own mother even a fake version of her in the eyes*

Ruby: because when I wake up you'll be gone, you'll be gone and I'll feel 10 times worse for the fact that this could've been my life, that I could've had a normal childhood that was filled with joy and laughter. I wouldn't even know who rattlesnake Jake even is, I wouldn't have become that man's sex toy, I wouldn't have become a fucking slave, I wouldn't be this abomination! I....I....I...

*Ruby's voice started to crack as her body started to tremble, she didn't even feel the tears falling from her face*

Ruby:I could've been normal...

*8 seconds that all she gave, ruby allowed herself to let down all her defenses and be what she really is, a scared broken little girl. After the 8 seconds were up she took a shaky breath she finally looked up at summer with a small glare tears still falling from her face*

Ruby:no. I don't want this, I don't want you so get out. I will not allow you to make me weak.

*Ruby growled her tail rattling as her defenses went back up and the mentality of strength returned to the forefront of her mind*

Summer:....very well, if that is what you want I'll only heal you, but I've seen your brain, without the cactus juice we both know what will take my place. Are you sure you want that?

Ruby:I would rather live in the misery that is the real world then go on in this illusion. I'm like this because summer Rose loved her job more then she did me

*summer started to disappear giving the poor girl a sympathetic smile, the second she left the world transformed quickly. Instead of her old house she was back on that shack, ruby turned back in to the little girl she was and took a shuttering breath feeling the weight of a drunk Jake on top of her*

Jake:time to enjoy myself....

*While the nightmare/very real memory played out all ruby could do was endure it*
