Ruby: last time someone looked at me for this long they ended up with a bullet in there eye so spit it out pretty boy

*Ruby said still in a foul mood from the morning exercise as she looked at a flinching jaune who just gave an awkward smile*

Jaune:o..oh uh sorry it's just...kinda cool having a legend sitting on the table with us. I uh used to hear you're adventures on the radio with my little sister, she loves you by the way

Ruby:that's nice I guess, doesn't explain why you're looking at me as if I'm some kind of freak

*Ruby said with a hiss her tail rattling making jaune move his hands forward shaking them in denial*

Jaune:no.. no no no! I didn't mean anything by honest honest! I.....you're fucking me with aren't you?

*Ruby gave a small grin as she ate her mouse shaped cookie with satisfaction*

Ruby:you're too cute not to tease a little pretty boy, now calm down I'm not gonna bite you're head off, you're not the blonde I despise with every fiber of my being

*Ruby said glancing at yang and the rest of there group that much to Ruby's annoyance were gonna join her and Jaune's table. Jaune just gave out a humm*

Jaune:I get it you know? If any of my sisters were in that situation I would've fought instead of ran I get why you're so angry with her. Hell I'm still angry with her since an older sibling is suppose to protect there younger one not abandoned

*Jaune said anger clear in his voice as the only boy in a family of 8 he felt the need to protect his sisters from the world and what yang did made him sick even if he didn't show it*

Ruby:heh, maybe there's hope for you yet pretty boy

*ruby said with a smirk as a small speck of that little innocent four year old girl that's still inside her grew with jealousy of Jaune's 8 sisters*

Ruby:sadly for me I didn't get bless with you as a sibling

*The other members of both teams sat down. Ruby had to fight to hold her neutral expression as yang sat right in front of her and Weiss sat next to ruby*

Ruby"I don't know which is worst blood money, or the abandoner"

*Ruby thought as her conversation with Jaune pretty much died after the rest sat down*

Pyrrha:so what were you and ruby talking about?

Jaune:oh uh, I was asking her to tell me a story from vacuo!

*Ruby looked at jaune with a raised eyebrow and Jaune just shrugged with an awkward smile. Ruby hummed grabbing her mug of hot chocolate*

Ruby:yes, I was telling him the time I was hired to watch over a caravan. It's one of the few stories that doesn't involve me freeing people, killing, or dealing with the corporation of blood money next to me

Weiss: don't suppose I can get you to stop calling me that?

Ruby:when you show me that you deserve to be called something else I will. Now want to hear the story or not?

Nora:oh I do! I hope there's lots of blood!

Ruby;hm, like I said I was paid to look over a caravan, carrying dust for those damned capital elites....

Flashback

*it was the dead of night we see a group of people talking over a fire enjoying each other's company, all the while ruby looked at a distance keeping watch and making sure the convoy was safe*

Ruby:I would rather sit alone old man

*Ruby said as an older man sat next to her, ruby looked at the 7 foot giant cow faunus who was looking at the campfire*

Ben:seems unfair that your freezing all on you're lonesome over here

Ruby:you guys are paying for my protection not my company, why are you here?

Ben: didn't want to leave you alone, you remind me of my granddaughter

Ruby:I can assure you I'm nothing like her

*Ruby said hissing making a point to show her fangs but Ben ignored it and grabbed his guitar started tuning it*

Ben:wonder what's behind all those walls you, poor little can't imagine what You've been through

Ruby:not any different then any other faunus in vacuo, care to tell me about those scars on you're back?

*Ben and ruby chuckled at there mutual deformities they've got as Ben started playing the guitar*

Ben:you mind?

Ruby:go right ahead, I gotta do my job anyhow

*ruby said getting up and taking self and defense out of there homes, walking to the dust cloud that was coming ever closer, Ben started to sing*

Present

Ren:what was he singing?

Ruby:some song what does it matter?

Ren:did he tell you the name?

Ruby:I won't back down why? You gonna sing it or something?

*Ren took out his scroll after a few moments Ruby's eyes widen as the song started playing out of the small rectangular device, ruby took her scroll out and looked at it weirdly*

Ruby:you can play music off this thing?

Yang:you can do a lot of things on a scroll I can teach you!

*yang said overly exited, ruby just tossed the thing on the table*

Ruby:I don't care about learning over something so useless.

Yang:come on! All those songs you like you can play them here!

Ruby:I can also just sing them or use my gramophone

Yang:oh please the scroll will make those songs....

Ruby:drop it Xiao long I said no

*Ruby said coldly making yang flinch and deflate looking back at her food with sadness. Ruby ignored her and looked at Nora*

Ruby:as I was saying there I was walking to a dust storm that was coming ever closer....

Back to the past

Ben:Well, I won't back down No I won't back down

*the storm got closer and ruby could see them, the creatures responsible for making the dust cloud*

Back to the present

*Ren hit pause as Nora screamed in excitement*

Nora:you faced a dragon type Grimm?!

Ruby:yup, a desert feilong, big and ugly with an electrical breath the prick

Weiss:what dust did you use to beat it?

*Everyone in the table looked at ruby who just chuckle*

Ruby: as much of a sick fuck that snake was, he made something very clear. One of the few things I agree with him on. Those who can't win without dust are nothing more then yellow belly city slicking cowards. Well how he called them was worse but you get my point. Anyone who uses dust to fight are nothing more then assholes faking it

Weiss:excuse me?!

*Weiss said extremely insulted that ruby was pretty much spitting on all the hard work she's pulled over the years*

Ruby;you're excused now shut up and let me finish the story, or I'll show you how we shut people up in vacuo

*Weiss huffed and just eaten her food not wanting to waste more of her breath on ruby*

Back to the past

Ben:You could stand me up at the gates of HellBut I won't back down

*Ruby started shooting to get the attention of he desert lizard and she got it, as it looked at her and started charging it's electric breath*

Ben:No I'll stand my ground

*Ruby exploded in to petals of roses and started leading the dragon away from the convoy*

*ruby quickly turned back to human form and shot the overgrown gecko right in the left ear making it scream and shoot it's electric breath on ruby*

Ben:Hey I will stand my ground And I won't back down Well, I know what's right

*Ruby transformed in to rose petals and jumped out of the way, the ground making it look like a small forest of fulgurite*

Ben:In a world that keeps on pushin' me around But I'll stand my ground
And I won't back down

*Ruby transformed back in to human formed and grabbed hold on to the dragons mustache*

Ben: Hey baby There ain't no easy way out I won't back down Hey I will stand my ground (I won't back down)

*The dragon tried to swing ruby out but it couldn't. Ruby climbed to the white bone on the dragon's face grunting in pain over how hot the dragon's skull was"

Ben:And I won't back down Hey baby There ain't no easy way out (I won't back down) Hey I won't back down

*Ruby jammed both her guns on The dragon yellow eyes, it had huge evil yellow eyes and ruby shot it until she was out of bullets*

Ben:Hey baby There ain't no easy way out (I won't back down) Hey I will stand my ground (I won't back down)

*The dragon gave a dying screamed that woke anything from a 50 mile radius as it crashed on the ground*

Ben:And I won't back down (I won't back down) No I won't back down

Present

Jaune:you took down a dragon that's so cool!

Ruby: believe me it wasn't cool. Didn't get a wink of sleep that night

Blake:may I ask why?

Ruby;that final scream wasn't a cry of death, it was a signal, 10 more of those appeared. Everyone In the caravan had to fight just to survive. In the end 2 died and we lost the shipment. Not like I care really

Pyrrha:why didn't you care?

Ruby:little lesson for life always get paid in front. It wasn't my ass on the line so people like me and Ben got to leave with our winnings that mission

Blake:well that Ben guy sounds like a good man any idea what happened to him?

Ruby:got killed by a group of coyote white fang members

*The second ruby said the white fang Blake eyes widen and she paled. Weiss scoffed and crossed her arms*

Weiss:honestly those people are nothing but a bunch of animals and Im not talking about there features

Ruby: amen do that nothing but a bunch of assholes hypocrites lying about what they want just to cause chaos.

Weiss:huh looks like we agree on something after all

Ruby:it would seems so, then Let's drink to that, to the white fang being nothing more then a bunch of no good animals!

*Ruby said raising her cup in cheers and drinking ignoring Blake having a small mental crisis*
