*Pyrrha screamed on top of a tower, she was wearing a princess outfit waiving a handkerchief to the air. Out of the sea of darkness a shining knight came out on top of a fantastical horse, the knight too it's helmet off revealing jaune arc*

Jaune:don't worry my fare Princess I'll come and save the day, I shall slay the dark Knight and you and I will finally be reunited!

*Jaune said in a tone 2 times deep from his normal tone as he placed the mask back on and charged, out of nowhere a black knight appeared and charged at Jaune, the black knight took out her pair of revolvers and shot jaune dead ending the dream right then and there*

Real world

*Pyrrha woke up first with a yawn as she stretched gaining a few pops from her bones*

Pyrrha"MH... must've studied to hard yesterday if I woke up before ruby... stupid black knight next time Jaune is gonna be the one in the dress so I can show that knight not to interfere with true love!"

*Pyrrha thought as she looked at her team, Ren and Nora were sharing ren's bed. much to Ren's annoyance Nora was using him as a body pillow, Pyrrha looked at ruby's bed and saw her sleeping with the teddy bear she keeps hidden under her bed*

Pyrrha"honestly I don't understand why she makes such a big deal about that bear no one's gonna tease her about it.... well maybe Nora"

*Pyrrha thought as she she noticed Ruby's face crunch up, she was holding her teddy bear tighter as she mumbled something but Pyrrha was to far away to hear it. Pyrrha pretended to be asleep with ruby waking up jumping from her bed breathing heavily*

Ruby: it's over, it's over it's over....

*Pyrrha was getting concerned as she hear what could only be sniffling and a silent sob, and finally a hard slap*

Ruby:no. Don't cry, don't you dare cry, crying is for the weak, you are strong. You are stronger then that demon, you are stronger then the raven, you are stronger then the flower...

Pyrrha"what could she be referring too...?"

*Pyrrha thought as she let herself crack open an eye and saw the most adorable thing, ruby gave the teddy bear's little nose*

Ruby: at least this thing is works, no substitute for the original but it does the job

* ruby mumbled to herself before putting the teddy Bear back under her bed for safe keeping, ruby got up and went to wake up Pyrrha who faked yawned*

Pyrrha:yes yes, I'm up we'll go training in a few minutes start changing

*Pyrrha said already used to this routine she and ruby has made for themselves. Ruby turned around and took off her pajamas and Pyrrha could see those scars again*

Pyrrha"wonder if she'll ever tell me how she got them, I'm sure it's a thrilling story of her Fighting some sort of Grimm"

*Pyrrha thought and quickly she shook her head, got changed and left with ruby to the training room*

Pyrrha:so, what's on the agenda today? Finally gonna do something other then cardio?

Ruby:no. Cardio yesterday, cardio today and cardio tomorrow. I need to be faster

Pyrrha: faster? Ruby you told me you hit a hummingbird from how far?

Ruby:from 50 yards away

Pyrrha:50 yards away, and you don't think you're fast Enough?

Ruby:.....

Flashback

*We see ruby on a break enjoying some cactus juice sitting on a crate when she heard a whistle. She groaned and looked*

Ruby:whatever it is it can wai....

*ruby eyes widen her snake like pupils went as small as pin needles as a sword was coming closer to her eyes, it was at the half an inch mark that Ruby's semblance activated and she dashed away from the attack. The attacker just scoffed disappointed as she sat down on the crate ruby was sitting on*

Ruby:are you crazy I almost went blind!

Raven:and yet you didn't

*Raven shook her head making ruby angry at her disappointment*

Raven:how are you summer's daughter and be so slow? She wouldn't have failed as spectacularly as you did

Ruby:last i checked that bitch is dead and I yet breath so I would say I'm better then her in every way

*Ruby smirked when she saw Raven frowning holding the hilt of her blade tighter*

Ruby:aww what's wrong did I hit a nerve? It's the truth you're teammate was nothing but a weak little huntress that couldn't hack it in the real world

*Ruby coughed her vision becoming double as she fell on her knees. Ruby didn't hear one of raven's goons attacking her neck from behind. Raven got up from the stolen crate and walked to ruby placing the tip of her blade on Ruby's cheek*

Raven:you want to repeat that?

Ruby:......

Raven:smart

Ruby:no wonder she died if she had you as a partner

*that did it. Raven kicked the younger girl hard enough to make her pass out, ruby dodged but raven kicked again knowing right where ruby would land. As ruby was losing consciousness she could still hear raven, ruby grunted as raven grabbed a fist full of hair and raised the younger girl to eye level*

Raven:summer was and will forever be twice what you'll be, you'll never be faster then her so enjoy her shadow, and when you wake up I'm gonna enjoy all the jobs I'm gonna give you little rose

Ruby"worst 12 month of my free life"

*Ruby thought quickly going to a foul mood, quite surprising how much hate raven managed to cram in to ruby in a short 4 month timeframe before ruby managed to escape. Ruby shook her head and looked forward*

Ruby:no, I need to be faster to prove to a certain bird that her flower is wilted and dead....

*Ruby said spitting nothing but venom thinking of Raven, wanting nothing more then to show her just how fast she and more importantly her bullets are*

Pyrrha:how cryptic

Ruby:my life is cryptic let's keep it that way

*Pyrrha hummed as she opened the door to the gym and looked around for a certain yellow haired girl, finding none she turned around at ruby*

Pyrrha:she's not here, come on i want to get this over with so we can eat

Ruby:good.

*Ruby walked inside and still looked around just to be sure, pyrrha frowned slightly*

Pyrrha:what didn't you trust me?

Ruby:the only things I trust are myself, self, defense and miracle the rest of the world don't get my trust

Pyrrha; you know you'll have to talk to her eventually

*Ruby scoffed spitting on the ground ind disgust of the very idea. she crossed her arms and looked at Pyrrha*

Ruby;I spend 11 years without taking to her I can last another 11. And frankly angel it ain't none of you're business who I associate myself with

*Ruby said walking to the treadmill and looked at pyrrha expectedly. Pyrrha sighed and pressed the buttons on the machine putting it on speed semblance users. Ruby started running quickly reaching her limit at 150mph and maintaining that speed*

Pyrrha:I'm you're team leader and we team up with team JWBY a lot it will be real awkward if you can't get along with yang

Ruby:as long as ozpin is paying me I can get along with Xiao long just fine as long as she doesn't bother me

*Ruby grunted as she machine showed ruby trying to break the 150 limit in her speed, she can already hear Raven mocking Tone*

Raven"that's it? Summer could go up to 800 mph and you can't even pass 400. you truly are pathetic"

*Ruby let out a low growl as the machine showed ruby going 200. Sweat started to fall from ruby as she was keeping with steady breathing*

Pyrrha:are you even listening to me?

Ruby:no so shut up!

*Ruby said harshly as she pushed her body and semblance to the limit at 215 mph. Pyrrha scoffed and went to do her exercise routine*

Machine:warning, scanning shows that the subject has reach there limits, recommended that they go slower

Ruby:I haven't reached shit!

*Ruby said grunting as she tried to push it to 220 but failed at the 217 mph mark, ruby crash landed on a bunch of yoga equipment making her groan, Pyrrha being the kind person she is she rant towards ruby*

Pyrrha:Ruby are you ok?!

*Ruby could only groan and give Pyrrha the bird. Pyrrha rolled her eyes and helped ruby up*

Pyrrha: you should've listen to the machine it was designed go know when someone has reached there limits for there own well being

Ruby:I...I....I don't need no fancy robot telling me when I reached my limits!! I...I didn't even r...reach it yet

*Ruby said in her usual confidence tone, it didn't help that she was having a coughing fit and her legs were trembling. Pyrrha rolled her eyes and pass ruby some water which she drank it all in one gulped*

Pyrrha:fine, how about you do some yoga with me? The flexibility will help you and you're cardio ambitions

*Ruby muttered something unintelligible as she joined Pyrrha*

Ruby"I'm alive she's not, I'm alive she's not, I'm better then her since I survived she didn't...."

*Ruby thought while she was in dog position her only motivation at the moment was to become stronger then her mother summer rose*
