"Helen?" Natalia questions as Helen slams into the house coming home from school. "How was school?" she is fully expecting to be given a dirty look or something along those lines.

"Fine, that's not what's wrong." It's been a month since Helen became part of the estate, Natalia and Nikolai ascending to rule.

"What's wrong then?" Nikolai and Natalia had taken over guardianship of Helen since she is still underage.

"The fucking cops are pestering me about my family again." Her words make Natalia stop short.

"Come, this is important." Natalia leads Helen to Nikolai's study. Nikolai is away currently helping Zarin consolidate his power over in Europe. Surprisingly just the threat of having Nikolai go over to Asia brought those witches into order.

"Natalia, what's wrong?" Sebastian and Ivan say as she comes in. When she moves and they see Helen behind her they straighten up from the report they were studying.

"Helen is being harassed by the police about her family." Natalia spits out. Ivan holds up his hand.

"Helen, Natalia both of you take a seat. Then Helen, tell us what happened exactly, leave nothing out." Ivan takes charge. Natalia doesn't even demur, she doesn't have the experience to deal with this and needs him to take charge.

"I left school and was starting to get into my car. A man stopped me by calling my name, when I didn't recognize him I ignored him and continued getting in my car. He grabbed my arm before I could shut the door. It was a hard grip, he actually left bruises on my arm before I managed to pull my arm free."

"Did you have to use your vampiric strength to do so?" Ivan demands.

"No, I just yanked it a couple of times before he finally let go. I gave him a dirty look and rubbed my arm and made a point of looking at the marks he left. It looked to me like he turned a bit white at seeing them. I took my phone out and today's paper and photographed them. He didn't like that."

Sebastian smirks, "Quick thinking there kid." He holds his hand out and she hands him the phone. Sebastian loses his smirk as he looks at the photos. "Tell the rest now."

At his angry words Natalia takes a look at the photos.

"He didn't like what I did and slapped me hard. He hadn't noticed the group of kids that had noticed him and his actions. They started protesting and even called 911 to report it. Some of the boys even held him back ignoring his protests that he is an officer.

"When another officer comes they do cuff him and even read him his rights. They took my statement and gave me a case number, but once the kids scattered they were no better. They threatened to arrest me if I didn't go to the police station with them. They wouldn't even let me call you or the lawyer."

With those words Sebastian does call their lawyer and starts talking to him while Ivan motions for Helen to continue. 

"One of them was a hunter." Her words make them all stop. "He's the one that did most of the damage in the photos. He didn't realize that I had my phone on me. Once he was done with me I was able to get them to take me to the Lady's room so I could clean up. There I took the photos and managed to call the lawyer's office but had to leave a message since he didn't pick up."

Ivan growls now. When a vampire calls the lawyer is supposed to drop everything. Only those that are close to Nikolai and Natalia have his number. "About an hour after that I was suddenly released after being grilled about my whereabouts on the night of my parents death."

"Who grilled you about that, honey?" Natalia asks sliding her fingers in Helen's hair soothingly.

"The hunter. He wouldn't let up. I think he wanted me to confess to being a vampire, to letting it out that vampire's are real." Helen is now crying letting go of all the fears that she had that afternoon.

"The lawyer will be here soon." Sebastian says angrily as he sets the phone done. "He says that he didn't have his phone on when Helen called."

Natalia looks at him, something is very wrong. 

Sebastian looks at her, "When he gets here you better do your mind reading thing."

Ivan looks at her and smiles, "I think it's time Dmitri and Makarov do something worthwhile. How did a hunter escape our notice so close to home?" He goes to the door and has the guard go look for the two vampires he wants.

"You think that they are up to this?" Natalia looks at Ivan thoughtfully. She had seen what he has in mind and is all for it.

"Oh, yeah, besides they owe it to you and Nikolai and they know it." Ivan says smiling darkly.

A short time later the two vampire's are let into the study and the door shut firmly behind them.

"Dmitri, Makarov, you two are needed on retrieving an errant hunter that works for the cops."

"He will be a gift for Helen here. He roughed her up today and she was unable to protect herself." The two had had smirks until that. They don't like the idea of the sweet young vampire being hurt.

"We'll bring him back for you, love. Rest up." Dmitri vows as does Makarov. They leave once they are sure that is all they are wanted for.

"Is there anything else we need to know?" Ivan demands, what was told was bad, very bad and he needs to know if there is even more.

Helen looks down in shame, "He touched me."

Natalia takes her face, "Look at me, love." She waits patiently for Helen to look at her. "Did he only touch? Where and how?"

"He came into the interrogation room and went to the cameras and disconnected them. Then he put his knife to me and had me take my clothes off." A hunters knife is coated with a poison to vampires. "He then pushed me up to the wall and touched me wherever he wanted. He," Helen had to swallow hard. "He touched me in between my legs."

"Did he rape you?" Natalia asks gently although she's furious.

Helen can't answer as tears run down her face. She can only nod. "I want Nikolai, Natalia."

Natalia looks over to Ivan. He nods. Natalia holds the sobbing girl in her arms as she gets out her phone and calls Nikolai.

"Natalia, what's wrong?" Nikolai demands once he answers the phone.

"You need to come home, a hunter raped Helen today."

"What!?" Nikolai is furious. "Zarin is finished we were about to come home tomorrow, I'll have him send us home now."

With in minutes Nikolai takes the sobbing girl from Natalia and holds her to himself.

"Dmitri and Makarov are getting him now." Ivan reports as Nikolai looks to him.

"He was hiding in the police force. That's how he got to Helen. He forced her to go to the station, placed her in an interrogation room, disabled the cameras, stuck one of their poisoned knives to her throat and raped her."

"He'll pay, Helen." Nikolai says trying to soothe the weeping girl.

"I'm giving her the hunter as a gift to her." Natalia tells her husband in warning.

Nikolai gives Natalia a look but forces himself to calm down. He goes to speak when a commotion outside the room causes everyone to look towards the door.
