The Year in Review So Far
I had planned to write a book review for this post, but I couldn't find a book interesting enough to write about. I've had very little motivation to write anything since March. I shall blame it on Covid 19. My subconscious is too worried about survival to care about fictional stories. My best friend from highschool and her whole family got the virus. She said it was rough: five days of high fever and two weeks of coughing and sore throat. Now my neighbors have it. The pandemic is literally too close to home right now. Do you know anyone who got the virus?
Instead of the book review, I decided to do a review of my 2020 goals. It's time to review, revise, and reward!
The goals I have reached each month and need to continue:
* I have submitted one or two chapters of Forever Remember to Critique Circle each month and have edited those chapters based on the suggestions.
* I have posted in my Wattpad blog each month.
* I have continued world building for my fantasy novel.
* I have written two more poems for my poetry book. Only one more to write for my goal of three.
* I have read at least four books each month to reach my goal of reading 55 books in 2020. I have read 44 books so far this year. I only have eleven more to read. Because of lockdown, I read 18 books in April. How many books have you read this year?
The goals I need to revise:
* I did contact a photographer to help me with my book cover, but she doesn't seem interested. So I need to find someone else.
* I did contact five different editors for Forever Remember. I've narrowed my choice to two with the best price and the most experience.
* I'm still searching for other inspirational teen fiction authors. I found a few that I'm following, but none that might be able to market with me.
* I have not been able to write everyday. So I've given up on my goal to have Only Time Will Tell completed by the end of 2020. Maybe, next year. Have you given up on any goals this year?
The goals I need to reward:
* I finally completed the epilogue for Forever Remember in March!!! What should be my reward?
I also made a new goal: lose 20 pounds by the end of the year. I plan to start a vegetarian diet, because I don't like meat much. I've been eating lots of salads so far this summer. What is your favorite vegetable?
Have you reached most of your goals for the year yet?
