(Aragonite's POV)
I held my breath as Kyanite's hand got closer to Euclase's face. Please don't find her! Kyanite stopped and felt around. Nobody moved. Nobody made a sound. Nobody breathed. After what felt like an hour, Kyanite shrugged and walked away back up the stairs.
"That was close." Said Jasper as Euclase joined us.
"Yeah I don't ever want that again!" I said. I looked at Euclase.
"Are you ok?" I asked her.
"I'm fine." Euclase replied. I nodded and crept toward the staircase. As I went up the steps I saw Kyanite speaking with someone. I crept closer to get a better look. As I neared, I heard what they were saying. I angled my cat ears toward them,
"You didn't see where they went!?" Said what sounded like Kyanite.
"No they flew underneath the balcony and I just assumed they flew on." Said a familiar voice. Sodalite! But why—how!
"I knew it!" Said Kyanite, "they are here right now. RUBIES!"
About ten Rubies entered the room.
"Locate and seize the unwanted guests and bring them to me! And don't come back until you have found all three!"
The Rubies spread out and searched each nook and cranny they could find. I dashed out of my hiding place and found the spot where the others were and joined them.
"Bad news," I said, "Kyanite has Rubies and they're looking for us right now! Aaaaand Sodalite might be working with Kyanite."
"We have to go!" Said Jasper grabbing me and Euclase by the arms. She dragged us toward the door and quietly opened it. Jasper set us down and slipped through. Euclase followed. I was about to follow her when something hit me in the back of the head and I fell.

(Jasper's POV)
I closed the door and ran for the canyon maze. I looked behind me. Only two Rubies were following us. Oh less than I expected. I stopped and turned to face the Rubies.
"You wanna fight!" I yelled at them. They stopped and looked at me warily. I tilt my head and smirk
"Well?" I summon my weapon, brass knuckles. They flinch and summon their weapons, one has a gauntlet and the other has a small dagger with a diagonal cut at the end, they fuse and form a bigger Ruby with the weapon being a gauntlet with long spikes at the end. She was still smaller than me. I smirk and jump forward punching her in the face three times. She pushes me away and uppercuts me.
I grit my teeth and punch her in the gut. She instantly poofs. I grin and dematerialised my weapon.
"Pfft, too easy." I say.

(Aragonite's P.O.V)
I open my eyes too see a large room with no door and an opening in the ceiling. Where am I? I think for a moment. I close my eyes to try to remember what had happened. Suddenly there was a thump on the floor in front of me. I opened my eyes to see a blue and white figure standing in front of me. She stopped to flick away her hair.
"Hello friend." She said. I knew that voice anywhere.
"Sodalite!" I Yelled, "you're all right!"
She stepped into the light of the torch above me. She knelt dow so we were eye to eye.
"Of course I'm alright," Said Sodalite then she leaned in closer.
"I'm not working for Kyanite," she whispered in my ear, "I'm only making her think that."
"How?" I whispered softly.
"I'm somehow immune to her hypnotic powers." She said. I tilted my head at her.
"Oh!" She said smacking herself in the head. She barely missed her gem.
"You don't know about Kyanite's powers do you?" She asked. I shook my head.
"Well when she captures you she throws you into a cell for two or three days," explained Sodalite, "then after that she grabs you out and stares into your eyes and does some weird hypnotic thing or something like that."
I looked at Sodalite. So that's why Kyanite could control Malachite!
"But with me she just did her hypnotic thing straight away." Said Sodalite.
"Can you get me out?" I asked. She nodded.
"Yes but you have to be quiet and quick." She said. She summoned her sharp stars and cut through the ropes holding me down. She then picked me up in her arm and super jumped high, out of the cell. When she touched the ground, she dropped me and gently pushed me toward the door.
"Run." She said.
"Not without you." I replied defiantly. Sodalite smiled. Then suddenly Kyanite came around the corner, a scowl on her face.
"How!" She yelled, "How are you yourself!"
"I'm just immune to you powers." Replied Sodalite. I grabbed Sodalite's arm and ran for the door. I felt the ground tremble. I opened the door to see a giant Ruby staring at us, blocking any escape. How are we gonna get out of here now! I thought. If I had to guess, there were about eight Rubies in that fusion, because I saw two poofed Ruby gems on the floor behind them. Work by Jasper. I thought. Then I had another train of thought.
"Sodalite," I said, then more softly, "let's fuse."
Sodalite touched her gem and I touched mine. As soon as we linked arms, we fused.

(Hawk's eye's POV)
I opened my four eyes to see a Ruby in front of me. I was just an inch taller than her and much much more agile. I drew my weapons, stars and blades. The Ruby looked at me. I jumped to the side and slashed at her arm. She screamed and turned around to hit me. I threw three stars and two of them hit her face. The other one hit her chest. The Ruby punched me in the side and the impact sent me crashing into the canyon wall. I combined my stars and blade to create a large serrated shuriken. I threw it at the Ruby's chest. It hit and instantly the Ruby poofed and all of their gems fell to the ground. I had a feeling and we came undone.

(Aragonite's POV).
I looked up and saw the Rubies poofed on the floor. I ran over and pick them all up. I then ran over to the fortress window and placed them on the nearest table. They'll be safe there. I thought. I ran over to Sodalite.
"We did it!" I say. Sodalite nods.
"Let's go before they reform eh?" She says. We run into the maze to try to find the warp pad home.
