(Aragonite's POV)
I slid down the sandy mountain worrying about Sodalite. Why would Kyanite take her? I could think of one reason. She wanted to befriend Sodalite and turn her against her friends. I won't let that happen! I neared the warp pad and stepped on it and warped to where Sodalite and Kyanite might be. The warp pad brought me to a big mesa canyon. It was beautiful, all those warm coloured layers and the sand beneath my feet. I heard some shouting up ahead and quickened my pace.
I rounded a corner to find two unfamiliar Gems fighting a weird Gem monster. One was orange and the other was a light blue. The looked like they were having trouble. Then they stopped and looked at each other, danced, then fused into a larger Gem. It still didn't look like enough though. The monster still towered over them.
I had to help. I summoned my weapons, ran over to them and slid under the monster, slicing at it's legs as I went by. It screamed it pain and turned to face me.
A smile crept up my face as the Gem fusion noticed me and I ran to her. I ran my hand over my Gem, making it glow, as I ran closer to the Gem. I finally leapt at her and the moment we linked we fused.

(Blue Calcite's POV)
I opened my eyes and looked down at the Gem monster we were fighting. It was a little smaller than me. I summoned my weapon, long claws, and sliced at the monster's face. It retaliated, raking it claws on my side. I barely even felt it. I then punched it in the back and raked it until it poofed. I smiled and the felt like I was coming undone.

(Aragonite's POV)
I was thrown from the fusion. I hit the canyon wall and fell to the ground. I got up but my head throbbed.
"What happened?" I asked. I looked up at the two Gems. Now that I looked closer I could see the familiar red stripes of a Jasper on the orange Gem. The other blue Gem I did not recognise.
"Who are you!?" I jumped as the Jasper spoke. I looked up into her pale orange eyes. I didn't speak. I didn't want to speak. I didn't know what I wanted to do.
"Who are you!?" She asked again.
"I'm A-Aragonite." I stammered. Damn it! They both looked at each other. The blue one held out her hand to me. I tentatively put my hand on her's and she pulled me up.
"I'm Euclase." Said the blue Gem. Euclase......
"This is Jasper." Euclase continued.
"I can tell." I said with a smirk. Jasper looked at me.
"How did you—" she started.
"I could tell because I know only one type of Gem with those stripes. In that orange colour." I interrupted. Euclase looked at me.
"I've seen a Jasper before." I said. I looked down the long narrow passageway. It seemed to end at a left turn.
"Why are you here?" Asked Euclase. I turned to her.
"Ok this is gonna sound weird," I said, "so technically my friend, Sodalite, she was, um, kinda broken since the war."
The duo looked at me.
"Like her gem was broken in half but someone named Steven healed her," I continued, "and now an old enemy, Kyanite, took her for some reason. Now I'm trying to find her."
Euclase turned to Jasper.
"We have to help her." Said Euclase. Jasper nodded instantly.
"We will help you," Said Jasper, "do you know which way they are?"
I looked around. Now that I focused I saw many turns. I screamed.
"AAAAAAAAAARGH!" I yelled, "this is a flipping maze!"
I shapeshifted into a dragon then turned to the others.
"Can you shapeshift?" I asked them.
"Yup" they both said. Jasper shapeshifted into a small mockingbird and Euclase shapeshifted into a winged wolf. I barely suppressed my laughter as I looked at Jasper. That mockingbird looks hilarious. I thought. I spread my large wings and one big flap sent me flying up to the top of the wall. I looked down and saw Euclase and Jasper not far behind. When the caught up, I spread my wings again and flew up beside them.
When we were high above the maze I looked down. There were long winding passageways spilling out everywhere from the warp pad. Looking ahead of me I saw a large oasis with a very tall blue tower rising out of the water. I pointed to it.
"That's where they are." I said. Euclase and Jasper looked at the tower.
"Follow me." I said. I dived toward the tower and suddenly small pointy things started flying at us. I looked up at the nearest balcony. My eyes widened as I saw Sodalite standing there throwing her stars at us. I wanted to yell her name but I couldn't give us away. Not yet. I landed softly in front of a large door. Euclase and Jasper landed soundlessly beside me. We shapeshifted back and I reached for the knob and slowly turned it. The door barely made a sound as I opened it. I opened it as little as I could, and me, Jasper, and Euclase slowly creeped in and found the nearest, darkest corner we could find. I closed the door silently and followed the others. We were all squished up in the dark space. I grabbed a pot full of dirt and threw it across the room. It smashed against the wall on the other side of us.
Kyanite came rushing down the stairs in the centre of the room, with a scowl on her face. I held my breath as she looked at the other side of the room. I gestured for Jasper to creep over to the next nearest space. When she entered the darkness, I made sure Kyanite wasn't looking before following her. I wasn't ready for Kyanite swinging her head in my direction as my leg just disappeared into the dark. I hope she didn't see that! I sighed of relief as Kyanite looked away. I gave the signal for Euclase to follow us. Suddenly Jasper knocked something, loud enough to draw Kyanite's attention. She snapped her head in our direction. We all froze. I started to sweat as Kyanite slowly walked over to the corner where Euclase was. She reached the corner and slowly extended her hand into it. I just saw Euclase scrunch up her eyes and back up against the wall. Kyanite's gonna find her! What do I do?
