Tae Yang is returning to the US after his military service, eager to pick his musical career back up and to avoid the blind dates his parents are setting up for him. But on the return flight, the plane almost goes down and he ends up clutching his seat mate, Cee, for dear life.

After surviving the ordeal, they exchange numbers and start to become friends. Cee worries they could be something more, especially when she's sworn off men and he's six years younger. Meanwhile, Tae Yang hasn't told her the whole truth of who he is: a celebrity.

i knew as far back as when i was drafting THE RICH BOY IN A ROCK BAND (formerly WE THE YOUNG) that Link would get his own love story (in fact, there's a hint in the epilogue). he was too fun a character to not put under the spotlight! separately, i also wanted to write about a character who had been in the Miss Venezuela (which is a major thing when you grown up there), and at some point i put two and two together and was like what if...?
