Quick note: Adam's perspective.

I yawned in the middle of my show, it was about cars and while I'm not really a car fanatic, the people were kinda funny. I had about 15 or, 14 minutes left when I heard a soft knock on our door. "Coming!" I yelled, getting up and looking out the peephole. An UPS worker and next to him, a large box, about the size of an average 12-year-old, marked 'VERY FRAGILE'. I signed the sheet thingy and thanked the man, stuggling to get the box inside. I sighed. "Michael! Get down here!" He came running down the stairs, seeing the box and figuring he'd have to help.

"Alright, alright." He trudged over and we both grabbed at the box, eventually bringing it in. Michael opened it, eager to the what we'd got. There was a paper on the styrofoam. It read,

"To Adam and Michael,
We're very excited that you loyal customers were the very first to purchase a L•E•N. They're specifically designed to monitor your living area, suggest improvements, and provide companionship.

To activate your L•E•N, insert AA batteries into the remote and switch on. They will explain the rest.

We hope you enjoy your new companion,
Lankin corp."

Michael looked at me. "One question, how much was this?!"

I returned his look with a smug grin. "3/4 off the original price, only $2,500." He looked dumbfounded.

"Only $2,500?! How'd you even get that much?"

"I worked overtime." I shifted my attention back to the box, carefully taking of the top layer of styrofoam.

What stared back at me, confused me.
