Bono's POV

An idea? I can't imagine what's on his mind this time but it must be something really exciting 'cause his eyes are glowing! I am really curious to find out about his idea but at the same time I am not really sure if I am gonna like it...

"-What it is about?"

"-You and me! We are going on a road trip! Right now!"

"-And you said I am the one who lost his mind The? Didn't you advise me to take some rest and stay in my bed?"

"-Yeah... but you're right! You can't stay in here like you are sick or something so we are going on a road trip instead!"

"-Edgee are you sure you're ok?'

"-Of course I am ok! Do you remember when we were younger, when we first formed the band we wanted to go on a road trip and we never did 'cause we couldn't afford a car and the fuels? Now we have the perfect opportunity to finally do it!"

"-What about the new album? We have work to do here!"

"-Just don't worry about this! It's gonna be ready on time! Plus Adam will be in L.A. this week for an exhibition, you know the one he was taking about all the time! And Larry wanted to spend some time with his family so he can take some rest this week!"

"-You had plan the whole thing or what?'

"-No! I just came up with this and everything works out perfect!!!'

"-And where are we gonna go?"

"-It doesn't really matter, does it?""

I shrug taking the cup with my coffee in my hands, I drink some and look back at Edge's eyes. I can't believe that he suggested going on a trip with me! I want to hug him, tell him that that's the best idea he had in his whole life and that his the best mate I could have but before doing any of that I hear him asking:

"-You don't seem to be exited... Don't you want this?'

"-Edge look at me... That's all I want now!!! Thank you so much for being here every time I need you!" I tell him and hug him so tight that he push me away saying:

'-You bastard! For a moment I really I thought that you didn't want this trip!'

"-You know I love traveling and of course I am enjoying your company so I don't see any reason to reject your suggestion!"

"-So get ready!'

'-Ok! Just one more thing, whose car are we taking?'

"-MINE!!! There is no way letting you drive!"

"-Don't you still trust me after all these years?"

"-I never will! Driving is dangerous when you are the driver!!! You can't even control a bike!"

"-Ok, ok... You will regret saying this!"

"-I doubt it! Now get ready!"

"-What about you?"

"-I am going home to take some things, clothes and staff! I'll be right back! Don't you dare not to be ready!"

" -Your wish my command, sir! But how many days are we gonna be away?"

" -What about the whole week?"

"  -You're wonderful!"

  "-I know!" says Edge and winks at me before getting out of the house.

I take mine and Edge's cups back to the kitchen and then I go to my room. I get a bag from my closet and start looking through my staff to find what I need to take with me and finally I put in some black t-shirts, a pair of jean trousers, some underwear, socks and a pair of black flip flops, I go to the bathroom and get my razor and some other things I need for my daily morning routine and go back to my bedroom. I have some time left until Edge is back so I decide to take a quick shower 'cause onlyGod knows if we are gonna have any of these luxuries in our trip. I throw the clothes I am wearing to the bed and I am heading to the bathroom. As long as I get in the bath the hot water stars to falling down on my body... I stand still for some minutes enjoying the water which runs all over my skin and makes my tense go away... My thoughts calm down as I feel totally free right now, like every wound and every scar just wiped out, every fear and all the worries disappeared... I dry myself with a towel, I wrap it around my waist and go again back to my bedroom.

I put on some blue jeans pants, a black V-neck t-shirt and my trainers. I find my black hoody jacket and my as well black jockey hat, I choose one pair of my glasses with black shades, I grab my bag and get out of my bedroom. Before getting out I go to Brian's room as far as I can hear he is doing his morning workout, I think for a minute and decide not to tell him anything 'cause he will over react and then he won't let me go, in fact that's his job but I don't need him right now. Thus I go to the living room and write a note for him "Dear, Brian I am ok! Just I am gonna be off town this week! Don't fret I'll be with The Edge! I'll take care! It's a promise! Don't tell anyone about this! Yours, Bono" and leave it on the kitchen's counter. I put a binder in my bag as well where I keep some of my lyrics for the new album just in case this trip give me some inspiration to refine them!

"So now it's time", I think to myself and step out of my house!
