Chapter 11

Lee

"Aria!" I called out to her as I ran across the hallway to catch up on her.

As soon as I had realized that we shared a room, I got the chick out of the room and ran up in the direction where I thought Aria went. She was storming down the hallways with me hot on her trail.

"Aria, wait!" I called when I reached nearer. I held her forearm and turned her towards me. She was fuming and I could imagine steam coming out of her ears. Yeah, she was that livid.

"Aria," I panted. Even though I'm a soccer player, it was hard to catch her. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry? After all that happened, all you say is sorry? Y—"

"As much as I'd love to talk about this, I don't want an audience right now." I interrupted her when I noticed people gathering around us.

She looked around nervously as she bit her lip, indicating that she was nervous, nodding her head.

"Look, I'm sorry." I say as I turn back and locked the door to our room. I pushed my hands into the pockets.

"Well, you should have hooked up with her somewhere else." Aria said, looking out of the window, at the city lights.

"I know, and I said I was sorry, right?" I raised my voice, making Aria angrier than she was before.

"You should have remembered that we share a room. And let's not forget the events of this morning. Was that even necessary? I wouldn't have spoken if it was a personal matter!" She yelled.

"I know okay? I shouldn't have done that."

"No shit, Sherlock." She deadpanned, which now made me angry.

"Besides, why would I bother when you don't care, huh? I waited for you, you know." I spat, mentioning the past. I'm sure I'll regret this later.

"I don't care? Yeah sure, calling you almost every day only to get ignored shows that I don't care." She said with hurt laced in her sarcastic tone.

She called me every day?

When I voiced out my thoughts, I got the answer I never expected.

"Yes, every day. Every single day I used to call you. Either it would go to voicemail, or your mother would pick the call saying you were busy and could not speak to me. Eventually I gave up."

Well, this is new. I thought that when my mother said that there's something wrong with my phone, she threw it away and got me a new phone. Immediately I had sent a text to Aria with my new phone.

"But I had texted you my new number." I said, frowning.

"You had?" She asked me flabbergasted.

"Yeah." I whispered. This was so confusing right now.

"You should have called me then." She commented, raising my temper again.

"Call you? Every time your number could not be reached!" I shouted.

"Oh yeah? How come that's possible?"

"Just shut up!"

We were shouting so much that we had not noticed that we were only inches apart.

"Shut up? Shut up! You shut up. After all you were the one who brought a girl here!" She screamed, making me blink.

Is she jealous?

"Are you jealous?" I asked, pulling out my hands from the pockets.

She blinked a couple of times. "What? No!" The apples of her cheeks turned a deep shade of pink, informing me otherwise. I bit back a smile. She was jealous. She likes me, if not love me. We could be together even if we hardly knew each other.

Without thinking twice, I dipped down and connected her lips with mine. She seemed shocked with my action and did not respond for a couple of seconds. Just as I was about to pull away, she started moving her lips against mine, almost making me grin. She put her hands around my neck and toyed with the ends of the hair at my nape making me let out a groan in satisfaction. I cupped her cheek with my palm and the other hand hugged her waist.

The kiss was slow and passionate, just like I had imagined, nothing like I've kissed other girls before. It was filled with electricity and made me shiver involuntarily. My heart raced and my breath turned ragged, notifying that we were normal humans who could not live without oxygen.

We pulled away simultaneously, our breathing uneven, faces flushed and lips swollen.

"It's okay to be jealous," I breathed out, silently laughing at her red face.

"Am not!"

"Are too." I grinned.

Before she could reply, Aria's phone went off. She frowned when she looked at the caller ID.

"Hello to you too, mom." She said sarcastically, before wincing at something she said.

"Why don't you call him itself, huh? Why did you call me? You-not I-despise me a lot, and it's my mistake?" She flinched at what was said on the other line before yelling, her throat worked up with emotions. "Shut up, you don't know what you're saying-you know nothing about what happened so shut it Evelyn..... You're not even my mom." She cut the call before landing on the bed with her head in her hands.

I was beyond shocked to hear what happened right now. Something must have happened for Aria to flip out like this. She wasn't this short tempered before, if she is now. Hopefully, she hasn't changed much.

I walked towards the bed slowly, not wanting her to flip out again for the third time. What actually happened while I was away?

"I'm sorry. It's just- I know you want to know what happened," She looked up at me with watery eyes which made me wrap my arms around her to comfort her. I felt a pang in my chest looking at her.

"I do want to know, but we'll save it for later. Everyone has a past they want to share, but they can't, you know?" I wipe the few tears that escaped.

"I understand." She nodded her head before pulling away from me. I'd be lying if I say that I didn't feel disappointed.

"Let me change," Aria said from over her shoulder. "Then you have to sing me a lullaby. A little birdie told me that you are a good singer."

I laughed at that and nodded at her. I got up and took my shirt off when my phone chimed, showing that there was a text.

The door opened, but there was no movement. I could feel Aria's eyes raking over my back.

"Like what you see?" I smirked, turning around at her. Her face flushed red, while she plopped on the bed. "Pfft, you wish."

I hold back a groan when I notice Aria only in an oversized t-shirt. And boy, does she look sexy in that. She's beautiful in whatever she wears.

I let out a quiet chuckle, pulling my jeans off and lied next to her. Pulling the comforters over us, I pulled Aria towards me. She snuggled hugging my torso before closing her eyes. Wow, I didn't have to sing, then. I kissed her forehead, my mind swirling with ways to ask her out without Alex trying to chop my balls off, and slowly drifting into a deep slumber.

Woohoo, double update! I just got some free time, and I wanted to update since I haven't updated this book since December.

As I was saying before that we'll continue this later on, now is the time. You must know that all of us have talents. Only, we have to find that out.

Comment if you have any talent, and if you don't have any, then lalalala. I don't know what to do.

And one more thing. #92 in humor, seriously? I'm literally squealing and jumping with giddiness and shock here right now. Oh my gosh, I really can't believe this right now! Fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck.

*takes a deep breath to cool down* Okay then, see ya during April (if I can update all three books).

[Teaser: "That I am!" I grinned cheekily, making him chuckle again.]
