Chapter 13: Shocked
Zaporah's POV
She has missing memories.
Somebody has tampered with her brain.
And It wasn't me.
I give a forced smile to Kirstin and her eyes narrow.
"Well?" She asks. "Did you find anything?"
I slowly shake my head, praying she doesn't realize I'm kinda lying.
I hate lying, but I sometimes have to in situations like this.
I found three major blank spots in her memories.
One when she was three,
one right before the car wreck,
And one just a few weeks ago, when she was taken by the Neverseen people for the second time.
I'm not completely sure who this girl is, but she is special.
And I'm not leaving her alone, again.
Kirstin's POV
"That's it over there." I say, pointing to our large, blue house.
The car slowly pulls to a stop in front of it.
Zaporah climbs out of the drivers seat, and Charlie helps me out of the back.
His arm his around my shoulder and I'm leaning against him.
My heart flutters, and I have to hold back my mirth at how we must look.
I'm wearing an Alien outfit.
A knee length lime green tunic, white leggings, and black boots, with a black headband.
Zaporah is wearing purple tunic that matches her eyes, and Charlie is wearing a blue shirt and pants with a black hat and pair of sunglasses.
Probably to hide his third eye.
They both drank some kind of elixir on the way to change the color of there skin to a normal human color, and they both have back packs on their backs, with a hole that you can't see, that their third arms are stuck through.
Yeah, they look kinda weird, but at least they don't look like aliens.
We make our way up the stairs to the door, and I open it.
"Mom! I'm home!"
I call.
My mother burst from the kitchen and runs to me, wrapping me in a hug.
I bite back a scream, and she takes a stab back.
I close my eyes, and slowly breathe in and out.
"Sorry." I say.
Tears have filled her eyes and are running down her face.
"Oh Kirsty!"
She bawls.
Then she finally notices the others.
She immediately wipes away the tears and puts on a wary look.
She gently grabs my hand, and pulls me towards her, away from Charlie and Zaporah.
"Who are you?"
She asks coldly.
Zaporah smiles and nods a bit.
"I am Zaporah Ross, and this is my great-great grandson, Charlie Hawkings."
"Ross? Hawkings?"
We hear someone gasp behind us.
We turn and see Nana Boyne.
"No way..... How did you find us?"
She growls, suddenly as vicious as a tiger.
"Mother what's going on? Who are these people?"
My mom asks my grandma.
"I dont know the boy....... But Zaporah Ross, is no one to be reckoned with."
Nana hisses.
"Excuse me, Do I know you?"
Zaporah asks, confusedly.
"Oh, so now you don't even remember."
Nana scoffs.
Zaporah still looks confused.
"How do you know her, Nana?"
I ask, just as confused.
"I've known her since I was fifteen."
She says stiffly.
"Umm.... I think you have me mixed up with someone else...."
Zaporah says with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh no I don't." Nana says stoically.
"Because YOU" She have her finger at Zaporah. "Stole my boyfriend!"
"Whhhaaaaaaaat?!" The four of us gasp.
"Jacob Ross. The love of my life. I planned on dating him ever since I was six. Then as soon as I was old enough to, he chose you!" Nana hisses.
Zaporah's mouth has slightly parted.
"Jacob was my husband....." She says quietly.
Nana's eyes widen.
"You mean he's Dead!?"
Zaporah sadly nods, before tilting her head to the side.
"Who are you?"
Nana smirks evilly.
"You dont recognize me? Too bad."
She pushes a button on the wall, and suddenly he skin is white, and a third arm sticks out of her back.
Her graying-red hair falls to the back of her knees, and her teeth turn pointy.
"I am Veronica Alima Cassius."
Nana, is an alien.
