Chapter Twelve
I felt like this song was relevant...

It's been 50 Chaos years now. 50.
I've been able to go everywhere with my wings free and able to have breathing space. I got so used to them that I hardly wore my cloak anymore, because it was indestructible and I couldn't cut holes in it. I had also learned to control my strength. It seemed that I was as strong as Poseidon himself now. A hurricane on itself was like taking a stroll through the park. Three hurricanes? Maybe a jog. Five? A sprint, that left me out of breath. Earthquakes did sail my energy pretty quickly, as I learned on my many missions to other worlds with my Chaos Warriors.
It took a while to get used to being the commander and leader of the 'army', but eventually my old leadership skills from 50 years ago kicked in. Chaos and I were practically brothers now, yet he was 100 times stronger still, despite all my strength. Surprisingly, my strength had kept increasing the more I trained. My abilities were refreshed, and I felt brand new again. My wings were barely troublesome anymore, and flying was an amazing feeling. Back when I was...just a son of Poseidon, flying was one of my biggest fears, but now it was my strength as well.
I sat at the dining hall with the rest of my Warriors eating lunch like usual and talking.
"Omega, your were supposed to meet me an hour ago for archery training!" Bianca says walking in late and sitting down on the other side of me. Now I sit between her and Luke. With a wave of her hand Bianca summons her lunch and starts to eat. I feel my face to red.
"Sorry Angel, I...uh...was busy with...sword practice in Arena Two?" I try. Bianca scowls.
"Omega, I was in Arena Two," she says, taking a bite of her PB&J. My face gets even redder and everyone else laughs.
"Oh, I meant Arena One?" I try again. Bianca snorts and everyone laughs even harder.
"Omega, you can't avoid archery forever," Beckendorf says after everyone finishes laughing. I look down at my food. In the whole 50 years, I had tried archery about five times, and failed each one. Becoming a Chaos Warrior hadn't fixed my archery problem. Bianca was constantly trying to help me but I would always avoid it, because I had given up the fifth time.
"Yes I can," I state, taking a bite of my blue spaghetti. Selena looks at it with distaste.
"It's been 50 years and I still don't understand how you can eat that," she says with a smile. I shrug and keep shoveling it into my mouth. 'You eat like you've never eaten before,' my mom would always say.
My mom.
I had never gotten to say goodbye, and after a couple of years the truth had hit me like a brick hitting Jason(yes I used that reference again). Chaos had let me contact her through a thing he called 'a Chaos Message'. Everyone always joked about how he had stole that from Iris but he would just roll his eyes and pretend that he didn't know what we were talking about. I explained to her what had happened, and she had shed tears, but told me she loved me very much and understood why I had to leave. Chaos even said that maybe someday she could visit.
"Omega? Omega? PERCY!" Luke shouted interrupting me from my thoughts. I jolted up and looked around startled.
"Oh, uh, sorry Luke, I was just...thinking," I say. Luke rolls his eyes.
"So as I was saying, tonight we can have a big archery training session," Luke says.
"What?!" I exclaim.
"If you handy been zoning out maybe your vote would've counted," Bianca smiles.
"Well can I vote now? What was the count?" I ask, desperate.
"We all voted yes," Selena laughs. I groan and the rest of them laugh.
"Warriors, I bring news!" Chaos said, walking into the hall with his giant black staff in hand. It could transform into any weapon, give him any godly power, and heal us warriors. He stand infront of us and we all adjust so we are facing him. His purple and blue eyes glow brighter than usual, which meant his emotions were conflicting. He scanned the group and when his eyes fell on me his eyes showed me a look of sympathy to what was going to come next.
"We are going to a new mission, a minor but important one," Chaos says. Everyone smiles but me, because Chaos's look worries me. He kept glancing at me with worry.
"Where is the mission?" Asks Beckendorf. Chaos grimaces and looks at me once again. The obviousness smacks me in the face.
"No, Chaos. You promised never again, you promised," I say, almost choking up. Chaos found a sudden interest on the wall behind me.
"I'm sorry Omega, but there is no way to avoid it," Chaos says. Everyone gets the message where we are going.
Earth.

Now, my friends, you have met my dark side.
P.S when I'm in my dark side mood and writing characters tend to accidentally die or get emotionally broken like my soul at the moment
