Larissa's Apartment The Future 3020

Larissa arrived back in her own time in the future. Exactly two weeks before her meeting with Brown had taken place when he initially hired her for the first time jump.

Now she knew what an evil bastard he was she'd thought of ways she could kill him. But as her grief and anger lessened a plan formed in her mind.

It would be better if she delivered this ring to it's true owner, one of the Creators on the Planet of Rings.  She felt a thrill run through her as she thought of visiting the restricted planet.

Luckily she knew the Galactic Ambassador, Garrick McCloud. He owed her a favor for a time jump she'd performed for him. Garrick would provide transport and a meeting on the planet shrouded in murky clouds and constant lightning storms.

In her apartment, she put herself in her sleep chamber to rejuvenate her body before the interstellar trip. Within a day she was on the galactic ship and arriving at the planet's space dock.

Her contact on the planet of Rings was Ayano. He was a Master and one of the ring creators. Ayano chose to meet with her in virtual form. He told her it was for her comfort since his true form would blind her.

She opened their meeting with a formal thank you and greeting.

"Ayano I am honored you've taken the time to meet with me. I have travelled far to meet with you.

"I was intrigued by your message. It was communicated to me you had the Ring of Chaos."

She pulled out the ring and looked at it closely.
"Chaos? This ring transmutes energy." She placed the ring on the table where it glowed intensely.

Ayano picked up the ring and held it lovingly between his fingertips. "Perhaps on your planet, but here this ring has a different effect. It creates chaos."

"If it's so dangerous and powerful, why was it left on earth?"

"It was lost on a field trip to your planet by the one in your Mythology you call Loki." The creator of rings reached into his vest and pulled out a glowing circle."

"I believe this will fit your needs better."
Larissa looked at the living, glowing piece of jewelry.
"What is it? It's beautiful."

"It will repair and heal."
Even death?
He nodded.
She thought of Vince lying dead and cold under the blanket.

"Why would you trade a ring that transmutes energy, for a crystal that can bring back organic life?"

"This Ring of Chaos is too unstable to be left  traveling around the universe. I assure you the crystal I'm offering you in exchange will repair damage to any organic form. Will you do a trade for a trade?"

This was universally done and sacred. If she accepted, Ayano would never go back on their deal. She accepted, but Ayano had one more thing to say to her.

"Larissa."

"Yes."

If you take this and go back to the past you should remain there."

"You mean I should stay in that time permanently?

"That is exactly what I'm saying."

"Why, because of time displacement?"

"No, because your race is going to have a nuclear catastrophe. Do you understand?
It would be better if you had a child in the past."

"What? How?"

"The female jumper you killed created a hole in space time. One you can now fill. You can stay in the past and have a child, but only one child. Do you understand?"
