CHAPTER T H R E E

I probably should've looked away when that brunette chick had sent a death glare my way.

But, I didn't. I couldn't bring myself to. There was something about them - I narrowed my eyes and studied the large group of six seated three tables away from us - which seemed to radiate something intense, I couldn't pin point exactly what. It seemed like intimidation at first glance, but I wasn't so sure.

"Are they here for a photoshoot?," Mai stupidly questioned. I scoff under my breath. What's a photoshoot without any cameramen? I couldn't see any.

"I don't think so," Lance answered, staring blatantly at the figures huddled around the table.

"Those guys are definitely twins," Mai observed, sneaking covert glances at the two brown haired dudes who were seated with four chicks. All of their expressions looked serious and one of them, I noticed, kept, sort of signalling with her hands while the others stared at her dancing fingers before speaking.

I got to admit, those girls looked so freaking good.

Looking around, I realised I wasn't the only one staring at them. Half the population here, in the food joint, were literally eye - raping the group. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at their obviousness.

I turned as Mikel flicked my arm. "Yeah?"

He motioned towards the view of the entire place; that group before raising his eyebrows suggestively.

"There are four of 'em chicks there. For the four of us dudes."

Baines leaned forward beside me and rested his chin on his hands, with his elbows propped on the tabletop before glancing over at the center table.

"I'm taking on the brunette," he murmured.

"I was eyeing her first, man," I tell him, ticked off.

He tsked. "There's three more and they're all good, pick any one of 'em." He continued to watch the girl even as he sipped on his can of Beer.

Averting my eyes from him, I let them graze over the brunette who'd been openly glaring at me a while ago. Her wavy tresses rained down her spine as she spoke to both of the guys who wore identical intense expressions as they conversed. My gaze trailed over one of the red haired twins who had a minute laptop, the size of a diary, balancing on her lap as she tapped away, glancing up occasionally and signalling with her hands. The short haired girl sat beside her, with her leather clad back to me and next to her, sat the second red haired twin who was cracking her knuckles with a blank expression masking her face.

Finally, I switched back to the girl who'd been literally anchoring my vision on her for the past few minutes.

-and she was staring in our direction.

I followed her gaze till it seemed to rest on Mikel who currently had a blonde straddling his lap as he remained oblivious to the intense scrutiny of the hot brunette.

"Mikel. That's number what?," Lance yelled over the thumping of the music, obviously referring to the chick grinding on him. Even through her ridiculous Brooklyn sweater, it was clear that she wore no bra underneath. Her tits danced as she adjusted herself on Mikel's lap while Mikel, himself was lost in the sight of her chest which was literally on his face.

I felt Baines's hot breath fan the side of my face before I turned.

"You think that brown haired chick is a lesbian?," he muttered.

I knew who he was referring to. "What makes you think so?"

He shrugged. "She's literally been ripping her, -" he tilted his chin towards the woman on Mikel, "- clothes off with her eyes the whole ten minutes I'd been checking her out."

"Ten-," I glanced at my watch before cursing, - "Holy shit, the fight." I abruptly stood and gestured for the others to do so too. Just fifteen fucking minutes.

"Oh damn, the fight," Mikel pushed off of the blonde before pulling her close once he stood, snaking his arm around her shoulders and squeezing her tit, eliciting a low gasp from her.

I rolled my eyes and snapped my fingers before heading out. Lance grabbed a bag of fries and shot off to the car before me. He's always on about wanting to ride shotgun.

"Has the fight started?," Mai inquired, fluffing her brown curls as she spoke.

I patted the pockets of my cargo pants for my phone. "Reid would've called me if so."

"The guy who got you the tickets?," Baines confirmed.

"Yeah." I halted outside the car door and shoved my hands inside my pockets, my brows furrowing.

"S'up, yo. Get in," Mikel called from the back and I jerked my thumb in the direction of the food joint in response.

"I'd left my phone. Hold up." With that, I shot in towards Jeremiah's again and walked over to our vacated table.

Just when I was beginning to grow frustrated, I spotted a continuous light blinking on the ground, hidden by the shadow of the stairway.

"Thank fuck," I muttered, checking to see if it was actually mine before pocketing the phone and straightening myself, ready to exit the place when I glimpsed those six unmistakable figures heading out through the backdoor which was by the aquarium.

-and as if I've been programmed to do so, I followed them.
