Chapter 13. Welcome to the Jungle

Not so long ago in our milky way galaxy...

The Louds have realized that the name "The Loud Ship" was really dumb. Like really dumb. As the writer I do apologize for that. I was kind of on a role with "The Singularity" and "The Gem" which are both awesome ship names. But "The Loud Ship", that really was kind of a dud. Like even just saying that name feels lazy and juvenile. Like having a Loud House and the Thing crossover and calling it "The Loud Thing" like that just doesn't even flow right. Luckily, I called my Thing Crossover "The Thing About the Loud House." So at least that's good.

So anyway, the Louds changed the name of the ship to the much cooler and cleverer "Shipzilla". Once the ship was given a proper name the Louds headed to the desert planet of Natune. There they met a Raptor engineer named Michael who has defected from the Red King's army and has offered a helping hand to our heroes.

Furthermore, it was confirmed that despite being nearly omnipotent, The Red King does have one fatal weakness... He is deathly allergic to peanuts.

With this information the Loud siblings concoct a plan to use this weakness to finally put an end to the evil Red King once and for all.

And who better to come up with such a plan, then the "Man with a Plan" Lincoln Loud.

...

"Been a while since I've been out here." Michael said.

"So where do we go now?" Lori asked.

"Well now that we know the Red King's weakness, We, should start making a plan to take him down." Luna suggested.

"But why? Can't we just leave him alone?" Leni asked. "I mean what has he done to us really? I mean someone that cute can't be all bad, right?"

"Well Ted Bundy was viewed as attractive to some people, and he was as bad as they come." Lisa replied.

"Ew, that guy is totes creepy." Leni said. "His eyes give me nightmares."

"I did say some people." Lisa added.

"Just because you have a crush on the guy, doesn't mean he's not evil, dude." Luna said.

"Well... have we seen him do anything bad?" Leni said.

All the siblings gave Leni a look.

"Seriously dude?" Luna said.

"Well, I just think we need to look at it from both sides." Leni said.

"If I may," Michael chimed in, "Now, I will help you lot survive out here, and I'll even help you find your way home. But I can take no part in killing the Red King."

"Why not, dude." Luna said.

"He's the leader of my home planet for one." Michael pointed out. "Not to mention it's a suicide mission."

"Michael's right about one thing." Lori said. "Even knowing the Red King's weakness, we have very little chance of beating him. The guy could literally make this ship blink out of existence with just a single thought."

"Then why hasn't he?" Leni said.

"We can't attack the Red King head on," Lincoln said, "But we cannot deny that he is hunting us. And Leni, I'm sorry to say this, but we can't risk the Red King getting to Earth. Who knows what kind of damage he could cause?"

"Well if that's your plan," Michael said, "I'm not going to stop you as you have been nice to me. However, I can no longer travel with you. Just drop me off at the next civilized planet and we'll part ways."

"As much as it pains me to say this," Lincoln said, "We're going to have to find Zax and apologize. Right now, Zax is the only hope we have of defeating the Red King once and for all."

"Ok then fine!" Leni huffed, "I'll just sit back while you guys plan a MURDER!"

"We're murdering a murderer bra," Luna said.

"Leni, I know it's hard, but it's self-defense," Lincoln assured his sister.

"If our act of self-defense doesn't get us all killed." Lori mumbled.

"Unidentified ship has been detected." Pal announced. "Oh, did someone order pizza?"

"Unidentified ship?" Lori said.

BANG!!!! Something struck the side of Shipzilla shaking everyone about the cabin.

"We're going down!" Lynn yelled as the ship hurdled into the atmosphere of a nearby planet.

...

Back on Natune...

The Red King stood outside the Cantina. He was using his powers to levitate a crab-like alien who was the owner of the cantina.

"Oh, what do you want Mr. Red King sir?" The crab asked, flailing his arms and legs in the air trying to grab hold of something. "Do ye, want the deed to the planet? I... I be just a humble businessman, I can't give that to you. Please let me go!"

The Red King flexed his fingers and the Crab's shell started to crack.

"PLEASE STOP!" The crab begged.

"I don't want this dust bowl of a planet," The Red King said.

"I'll give you anything you want, just please have mercy!" The Crab begged.

"I want the Louds." The Red King said. "That boy and girl who came into your bar and chatted up my ex-pilot."

"But, they're just humans, what would you want with them?" The Crab asked. "They're not even a space fairing race yet. I know they look kind of like you with the arms and legs. And the hair and everything, but you're a god, humans are just ants to you."

"Are you going to tell me what I want." The Red King asked, "Or am I going to have myself a nice steamy crab dinner?"

"PLEASE!" The Crab pleaded. "I don't know where they went. Please don't kill me! I have a family."

"Well fuck," The Red King said, "Ain't that just a big steaming pile of bull shit. We both know you've never had any kids or have even been married."

"I... I have pets." The Crab said.

The Red King tightened his mental grip.

"SIBLINGS!" The Crab blurted out, "I also have siblings, like a hundred of them."

"Fuck, whatever." The Red King let the Crab drop to the ground. Then the Red King, filled with rage punched the side of the cantina with the strength of a freight train.

The force of the Red King's punch caused the entire building to explode.

"NNNNNNOOOOOO!!!!" The Crab yelled, "I'm ruined!"

"Well I am sorry," The Red King said. "I guess I didn't know my own strength."

...

Lincoln slowly woke up. He heard the sounds of bugs chirping and some sort of creatures screeching. He could see the windows of Shipzilla had broken, he could make out large green leaves of some kind and trees just outside the windows.

"Ugh, is... is everyone ok?" Lincoln asked

His sisters moaned.

"My everything hurts," Leni moaned.

"Wow, what are rush!" Lynn said.

"I think I broke my tiara." Lola cried.

"I'm used to the pain." Michael added.

"I know the feeling." Lucy said. "Life is nothing but pain and emptiness."

"Awfully morbid little one ain't you." Michael said.

"It's a miracle we're all still alive." Lori said. "Pal are you still operational?"

"Affirmative." Pal said.

"Where are we?" Lori asked.

"We appear to have landed on some sort of uncharted planet." Pal said.

"We're in a video game?" Leni said.

"No, Leni, uncharted means it has never been explored." Lori explained.

"Computer... um... Pal. Run a systems check on the ship." Michael ordered.

"Engines and life-support are both offline." Pal responded.

Luna looked out of the broken windows. "Welcome to the jungle."

...

Lincoln crawled his way out of the ship and onto a muddy forest floor.

"Careful guys," Lincoln said as the others followed. "This planet could be dangerous."

Then they heard a rustling in a nearby bush.

"Oh no! some kind of alien monster is coming to eat us!" Lola yelled.

Then a little creature resembling a bunny hopped out of the bush.

"Aww." The louds all said in unison.

Then a long pink sticky tongue shot out of the bush and grabbed the alien bunny and pulled it out of site. The louds gasped.

An enormous creature rose from the bushes.

"No, it can't be!" Lana yelled.

It was the giant spider frog monster that Lana and the others had run into at the beginning of summer. With 8 spider legs, a fat blobby frog body, and 10 eyes.

The monster shot out its tongue and grabbed Lana.

"NOT AGAIN!!!!!" Lana yelled.

Luckily, before he climbed out of the ship, Lincoln had grabbed the laser sword. He ignited the sword and sliced through the spider-frog's tongue, freeing his little sister.

"Get away from her you BITCH!" Lincoln yelled.

"YEAH!" Lana cheered.

Lincoln rushed to the monster and sliced off two of its legs. Then the creature grabbed Lincoln with one of its claws.

"Quick we gotta help Lincoln!" Lori said picking up a rock. The sisters started to throw rocks at the monster.

As the frog-spider was distracted, Lincoln sliced off its arm and got free. Michael flapped his robotic wings, launching himself into the air. He landed on the creature and started to claw at its 10 eyes.

The monster took a swipe at Lincoln. Lincoln ducked out of the way, and the monster's leg struck a tree behind him.

"Hmm..." Lincoln pondered looking at the tree that now had a huge gouge at its base.

Then a huge emerald spike shot out of the woods and skewered the spider-frog, splattering a yellowish goo that was its blood. The beast gave one last, final wail and fell to the ground dead.

"Uh... what just happened?" Lori asked.

"This spike..." Michael said. "It could have only come from an Oxan soldier."

"Um actually..." Came a voice from the woods. "It came from an Oxan commander."

Zax stepped out of the forest.

"Zax!" Lori said. "I never thought I'd say this, but boy am I happy to see you."

Zax then noticed Michael, who looked back at him with a grimacing look.

"I see you've made a friend," Zax pointed out.

"This is Michael." Lincoln said. "And don't worry, he may be a bsepo whatever, a raptor. But he is not with the Red King. He actually helped us escape from the Red King."

"All I wanted was to repay someone who was kind to me, then be on my way," Michael growled. "But now I'm stranded on this jungle planet with the green crystal hippie."

"Boys, boys, enough with the fighting..." Zax's sister Gaya came out of the forest behind him. "We're here to rescue you."

"And... I wanted to apologize." Zax said. "Lori, how I treated you and your siblings was wrong of me. Truth is, we actually do know where the Earth is. Granted it is really far from here, but we do know where it is, and are capable of brining you there."

"Well how about we make a deal then." Lori suggested. "We've personally seen how the Red King reacts to peanuts. If you take us to Earth, our planet has loads of peanuts. It's the planet they originate from and we have no shortage of them. If you take us to earth. We can give you enough peanut butter to literally bury the Red King alive!"

"Oh, come on guys, do we really have to?" Leni asked.

"You got a deal." Zax said. "It will be a pleasure to have you join the Emerald Path."

"Emerald Path?" Lori asked.

"That's the name of my army," Zax explained. "See, I have emerald skin so..."

"LINCOLN LOOK OUT!!!!" Gaya yelled.

Lincoln looked up to see what Gaya was warning him about. The massive tree that the spider-frog had taken a digger out of, had now broken and was falling directly on Lincoln's head.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Lincoln yelled, he held up his hands just before the tree crushed him.

Lincoln opened his eyes. Somehow, he was still alive. He looked around himself. His sisters and their new alien friends were all staring at Lincoln with their jaws dropped.

Lincoln looked up to see the tree was floating in midair. Some sort of blue energy was emanating from Lincoln's hands. The same type of energy was now surrounding the tree keeping it in the air.

Lincoln moved his hands to the side and the tree landed beside him. Lincoln took a look at his hands.

"What... What is this?" Lincoln said. He flicked his hand and a ball of blue fire shot from his fingertips.

"He's... he's like the Red King, but how?" Lori said.

"Didn't you say The Red King connected with his mind or something?" Zax asked.

"Uh yeah," Lincoln explained. "I climbed this creepy staircase in the woods. When I got to the top, that's when The Red King started talking to me. In my mind, somehow."

"Well clearly when he did that, some of his powers transferred to you." Lisa explained.

"Must be some sort of quantum entanglement." Zax replied.

"Well I want powers too," Lynn said. "How do we get them?"

"Lynn, you're already super." Lincoln laughed.

"Well right now we need to get you kids off of this planet." Zax explained. "Our ship is a few miles up."

"A few miles?" Luan complained.

"Ugh..." The siblings moaned.

"A few miles through a hostile and unknown jungle." Michael said.

"Hey Michal, think you can fly up to you know, see if there are any dangers we need to worry about?" Lori asked.

Michael took off into the sky.

He landed back on the ground a few moments later.

"See anything?" Lori asked.

"There is a canyon about a mile East of here with a river running through it," Michael replied. "there's a mountain range to the south, and what looks like an enormous volcano."

"A volcano?" Lori said. "Is it active? Did it look like it was about to erupt?"

"I didn't see any smoke coming from it." Michael replied. "But we should get off this planet as soon as we can."

"Once we get to my ship, we can take off right away." Zax replied.

"I... I don't wanna leave Shipzilla on this planet alone." Lori said.

"Shipzilla?" Zax and Gaya both said in unison.

"Our ship," Lori replied. "I don't wanna leave it here, or at least I don't want to leave Pal here."

"Pal?" Michael said. "You mean the ship's computer?"

"We will come back for Pal as soon as we can." Gaya assured Lori.

"Alright, shall we head off." Zax said. "Let's see here, one, two, three, four... Uh I think we're missing someone."

The siblings looked around. Within seconds they figured out who was missing.

"Lisa?" Lori said. "Has anyone seen Lisa?"

"I'm in here!" Lisa's voice came from inside Shipzilla.

"Lisa," Lori ran over to the ship. "Come on it's not safe in there..."
"Relax the ship's stabilized." Lisa replied, stepping out of the ship. "I was just setting up a little experiment."

"What kind of experiment?" Lori asked.

"Well before we were shot down, I had Pale build me a DNA scanner with the high-tech 3D printer on board." Lisa explained.

"What would you want a DNA scanner for?" Lynn asked.

"I'm using it to scan the Red King's blood that was found on that knife Lana stabbed him with." Lisa said. "It should only be a matter of time now until we know exactly what, and who the Red King really is. And don't worry about any contamination from the peanut DNA on the knife. I programed the scanner to sort out any peanut DNA from the blood."

"Yeah, way to go Lisa!" Lynn said. "Modern science for the WIN!"

"mmnggg" Zax grumbled, "The Red King is an evil space god, what else do you need to know about him?"

"Zax is right bra," Luna added. "I think it's pretty clear who the Red King is, and what he's all about. I don't think we need to know his exact species, to know he needs to be stopped."

"Wait, does that one just call everybody bra?" Zax whispered to his sister Gaya. "What does that even mean?"

Gaya shrugged.

"Plus, we know his weakness," Lynn added. "We can beat him, no matter what type of antient alien he is."

"I still think I'd feel better if we know exactly what we're dealing with." Lisa said.

"Wait a minute..." Lucy chimed in, popping out of nowhere right beside Zax.

"GYAH!" Zax jumped, startled. "Don't sneak up on me like that!"

"If the Red King is a being of pure energy," Lucy continued. "How can he have blood."

"Well the knife Lana stabbed him with is covered in it." Lisa said. "As soon as the DNA scan is finished, we should have all our questions answered. Unfortunately, the scanning machine was damaged in the crash, so it may take a while."

"Well whatever he is, it's probably some antient species you've never heard of," Zax said. "Especially since you guys have never been off planet."

"Oh, I had Pal compile a list of all known beings in the galaxy." Lisa explained.

"Oh... you sure thought of everything, didn't you, kid." Zax said with a nervous laugh.

"They're smart kids," Gaya added. "No wonder the Red King is afraid of them."

"Wait a minute, he's afraid of us?" Lynn said.

"Why do you think he wants to catch you so badly?" Gaya said. "I don't know why, but somehow you kids are the ones who are prophesized to end the Red King's rule, you are the greatest threat to his power, and he wants to get rid of you before you realize your full potential."

"Well we won't be bringing down any evil god kings if we're stuck on this planet." Lincoln pointed out. So, let's move onward through this dark and dangerous forest to find the ship owned by the alien rock guy."

"It's Zax," Zax replied. "And what did you mean when you said Lana stabbed the Red King? Did you guys steal my knife?!?!"

"Yeah sorry about that." Lana giggled.

"First my drugs, then my knife." Zax groaned. "You guys are a bunch of kleptomaniacs you know."

"Hey, Luna only stole that one joint from you the first time we met." Lori said.

"Actually, an entire bag of the stuff went missing." Zax said.

"Uh... wasn't me." Luna said, hiding the bag of stolen, alien drugs behind her back.

...

The group started their journey into the forest.

"So Zax," Lincoln said. "You have powers too, right? What you did back there, shooting that big green spike at that monster. That was pretty cool."

"Uh yeah. That's kind of something my species can do." Zax said. "We can create and control those green crystals like that. And we can regenerate lost limbs and stuff."

"So does your sister have powers too?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, she's actually a lot stronger than I am," Zax said. "But isn't that just how it is with all women? Am I right?"

Lincoln didn't respond.

"Anyway," Zax continued. "In addition to everything I can do, Gaya can also control plants."

"Wow, Gaya, you can control plants?" Lincoln said.

"I can talk to the plants," Gaya explained. "But I can only control the ones that will listen. But this forest, it is a dark and antient place. The plants here are not so easy to persuade."

...

Meanwhile deep in space....

The Red King searched the cosmos in one of his cruisers, looking for the Loud Family.

Red passed back and forth in his control room.

"Michael," Red growled, "That fucking traitor! Why would he do this to me? Why would he hide those kids from me? Have I not been a good king?"

A raptor came up behind him. This was a female raptor. The feathers on her head were messy, some were even braded, and she had a blue headband on. She wore a denim jacket with no sleeves and beads around her neck.

"Hey, come on man you're a great king." The raptor said in a chill voice. "I mean I don't agree with everything you do, but all that counts is that you're trying your best."

"Thanks Blue, that makes me feel better." Red said. "But honestly this is all my fault."

"Hey, chillax man," Blue said. "So, what if a few of those Loud things get away? What's the worst that can happen from 11 people, out of entire galaxy? What are those guys anyway? They look like they could be the same kind of creature that you are. You know with the arms and legs. And walking upright, and that fuzzy stuff on the top of your head man."

"That's merely a coincidence. I may look human, but I ain't one, you can trust me on that." Red said. "You know they have a creature on their planet that looks like you too. Well had, it's extinct now. They were called Dinosaurs. They would have been the dominant life form on Earth too, had the planet not been hit by a meteor."

"A meteor?" Blue said. "Ain't that like the time when..."

Red glared at her.

"Oh, sorry bra," Blue said. "I won't bring that up again. So why are these kids so important?"

"That's personal." Red said.

"Sir, we have tracked the Louds to a nearby planet." Another raptor interrupted.

"Well good work!" Red announced. "But let's be careful around here, this quadrant is full of space pirates."

Then an alarm went off.

"And speaking of the devil." Red said. He could see another ship rising into view from the window. It was round with spikes coming from it. The space pirate ship was painted yellow.

"Incoming transmission!"

"Patch 'em through." Red ordered.

An image appeared on the window in front of the Red King. It was a bug like creature with yellow war paint and a pirate outfit.

The creature was almost like a giant, man-sized ant. Covered in a black shell, with antenna and many legs. One of the legs holding a sword, and another leg holding a ray gun.

"Avast ye!" The pirate called out.

"Well this is rather unusual for pirates such as yourselves." Red said. "You fuckers usually shoot first, rob later, and ask questions never."

"And miss out on the opportunity to converse with the leader of the mighty Raptor Army?" The pirate said. "We have taken on many of the greatest warriors in the galaxy by stabbing them in the back when they weren't lookin'. But someone like you, like the Red King. If anyone has earned the right to face their killers it'd be you. So, we've decided to offer ye a deal."

The Red King let out a soft chuckle.

"Hand over all the loot ye got onboard," The pirate demanded. "And we let ye pass through unharmed. Refuse and we'll kill ya, and eat yer bodies, then we'll take whatever you have of value. Them's is our terms, surrender or die."

"Are you threatening me?" The Red King Asked. "Are you Threatening Me? Boy, do you have any fucking clue who you're dealing with?"

"But do you have any idea who yer dealin' wit." The pirate said. Then about a hundred more space pirate ships came into view. "We got hundreds of ships, and ye only brought one."

"Come at me then." Red smirked.

The image of the space pirate vanished as the call ended.

"Ready the weapons!" Red ordered. "All hands, on deck. And blue... play us off"

Blue whipped out a guitar and started playing a hard rock solo while whipping her head back and forth like a rocker.

https://youtu.be/liZXofwkePE

The Red King watched as the battle started to unfold.

The space pirate ships shot out blasts of yellow energy. Wave after wave of blasts came at the raptor cruiser, but each blast was blocked by a force field.

The Red King snapped his fingers and the raptor cruiser started to fire back. Huge blasts of red that tore through the space pirate ships like paper. Soon more pirate ships came into battle, bigger ones this time.

The Space Pirates voice came in over the loudspeaker of the raptor cruiser.

"This be yer final warning Red King! Surrender or die!" The pirate warned.

"Watch your tongue, I'll have it cut from your head," Red started to sing, as blue played her guitar in the background. "Save your life with whispers unsaid."

The pirate ships shot out projectiles that passed through the cruiser's force field and pierced it's hull. The projectiles had pirates packed inside of them. They opened and the bug-like space pirates piled out into the raptor's ship.

The Red King looked down to see the bug creatures swarming onto the bridge. He jumped down from the platform he was standing on. He landed on the next level down creating a shockwave of red primal energy. Blue started to play harder.

A glowing red sword of pure energy materialized in each of the red king's hands. Red lightning crackled from the swords.

"Children roam the streets now orphans of war." Red continued singing. He sliced a couple pirates in half with his blades. "Bodies hanging in the streets to adore." The raptors opened fire as well shooting at the pirates with high tech plasma rifles.

Yellow blood and guts exploded from the bugs as they were pelted with red energy blasts.

The Red King shot a blast of fire from his hand, incinerating large groups of bugs in their way.

"Royal flames will carve the path in chaos." Red sang as the bugs burned. "Bringing daylight to the night.

Death is rolling into town with armor, because they'll take all you right!

HAIL TO THE KING!!!!!!"

The Red King let out an explosion of red energy that blasted about a hundred pirates into the wall. The bugs splattered against the wall, painting it in yellow guts.

Some of the raptors started to pounce on the bugs. Clawing at them and ripping their heads off. They then started to pull the meet out of the shells and eat it.

The Red King reached his hand to the window and grabbed one of the larger ships with his mind.

"Hail to the one!" The Red King closed his fists and the ship he was holding with his minded imploded. "Kneel to the crown, Stand in the Suuuunnnnnn!!!!!!

Hail to the king!"

"HAIL! HAIL!" The raptors started to chant.

Then The Red King teleported onto the lead space pirate ship. Now he was on the enemies ship, surrounded by hungry and angry looking bug creatures that called themselves pirates. But the Red King did not flinch.

"Blood is spilled while holding keys to the throne." Red sang. As he sang he sliced through hoards of space pirates with his energy blades.

"Born again but it's too late to atone."

Then a huge creature that resembled a beetle the size of a station wagon appeared. The floor was lettered with dead bug parts and slimy yellow guts.

It was just the Red King, and this thing.

"No mercy from the edge of the blade." The Red King sang as he dodged the beetle's strike.

The Red King slashed the back of the beetle. The creature roared and turned around with rage in its eyes. The beetle spat acid at the Red King.

The Red King conjured a red glowing shield to block the acid.

"Let the water flow with shades of red now." Red sang. "Arrows black out all the light."

The Red King sliced off the beetle's legs.

"HAIL TO THE KING!"

As the beast fell to the ground, red jumped onto its chest and yank off its arms with his bare hands.

"Kneel to the crown!"

Then he sliced off its head with his energy sword.

"Stand in sun!"

He turned to the hallway. A group of space pirates had gathered ready to fight, but now they just dropped their weapons and ran away.

The Red King snapped his fingers and a group of raptors teleported behind him. The raptors ran down the hall, chasing down the bugs.

"There's a taste of fear." The Red King sang as he headed down the hallway. His raptors ripping part the bugs and eating them. "When the henchmen come."

"HAIL, HAIL" The raptors chanted.

"Iron fists to tame them." The Red King sang. "Iron fists to claim them aaaaaaaalllllllllll!!!!!"

"HAIL, HAIL!" The raptors continued to chant.

The Red King made it to the bridge of the space pirate ship. Their sat the very captain that had called the Red King just moments before, and he was all alone.

The Red King was now covered in bug guts as he walked through the door.

"Hail to the king baby." Red smirked.

He reached out his hand at the pirate captain. The bug was pulled off his chair by an invisible force and right over to the red king, who then tightly grasped the bugs throat.

"Again. Are you threatening me?" Red asked.

The bug shook its head in fear.

Two raptors came into the room. The Red King handed the pirate captain to the raptors.

"Take him to the interrogation room." Red ordered. "I have some questions for him." He then snapped his fingers. The pirate captain and all the raptors were teleported to the raptor cruiser.

The Red King found the radio that the pirate captain was using to communicate with the other ships.

He pressed the button to talk.

"To all the pirates on this frequency," Red said, "This is the Red King. If you value your life, I suggest you high tail it and run. I only did as much damage as I did because you attacked and threatened me. I want no more trouble. Just leave me alone, and I'll leave you alone, got it?"

Then all the pirate ships vanished.

"Yeah that's what I thought." Red said before teleporting back to his own ship.

...

The Loud siblings and the rest of the group came out of the woods to a vast cavern. A fog had rolled in, making it hard to see the other side.

"HELLO!!!!!!" Lynn yelled. Her voiced echoed for miles.

"Watch your step." Zax said.

"Yeah it's a bit of a drop." Michael remarked. "Don't wanna sprain an ankle."

"That's a mighty big gorge bra," Luna said. "How are we going to get across it?"

"Zax, can't you like, create some sort of crystal bridge or something?" Lori asked.

"Um, actually that is exactly how my sister and I, got across the first time." Zax said. "Though I think the bridge we came across crumbled. I'll just make another."

"Gee, careful princess," Michael said to Zax, "You don't wanna break a nail."

"Um actually, I'm not the one who's nails are 3 inches long." Zax replied.

Michael bore his claws. "Well you don't break these nails, they break you."

Zax dug his hands into the ground. A large flat crystal grew from the side of the cliff and extended across the canyon, anchoring itself to the other side.

Lori looked at the bridge, then down at the canyon below. "That bridge doesn't look very stable. I really don't know about this, I don't want any of us to fall to our deaths."

"Speak for yourself," Michael said, gracefully taking off into the air. "I can carry some of you across if you'd like. The baby should be pretty easy for me to carry."

"Uh, you guys might want to really think before agreeing to that." Zax chimed in. "You really want to trust a defenseless baby with a raptor? A cold, unfeeling, flying reptile?"

"I'm warm blooded, genius." Michael retorted. "And I'm much closer to a bird than a reptile."

"Well now you're much closer to a robot." Zax said, referring to Michaels prosthetic parts.

"Funny words coming from a living statue." Michael said. "I've shat on more likable things than you."

"You ever hear the term, kill two birds with one stone?" Zax replied.

"Ugh, that's so mean!" Leni chimed in. "What kind of monster throws rocks at poor defenseless birds?"

Michael turned his attention to Lori. "Lori, look. You can either carry your sister across this rickety, rock bridge that has no railing, or I can just fly her over. Remember, if one of you falls while holding that little girl, she's going with you."

Lori sighed. "Sure, I guess. But she better be safe on the other side."

"And in case you forgot," Lincoln chimed in, "I have superpowers now. So, if you do anything to hurt my little sister, all smash you into the nearest rock until you're brains splatter all over the ground."

"Dang Linc!" Lynn said.

"Dear brother," Lisa said. "I should remind you that you only just found out about your powers, and none of us has any idea how they work, or where they came from."

"Well you'll never have to use them on me," Michael said, taking Lily from Lori's arms "You have my word."

"See you on the other side!" Michael called out as he flew into the fog, carrying Lily in his arms.

"Did he have to phrase it like that?" Luan gulped, looking at the deep pit before them.

"I... I'll go first." Lori said, carefully stepping toward the green crystal bridge.

"No, I'll go first." Lincoln said, "After all I do have superpowers now."

"You can move things with your mind," Lori pointed out. "That doesn't mean you can fly."

"Zax should go first." Luan said. "After all, he made the dang bridge."

"Very well." Zax said. Then he and Gaya calmly walked across the bridge into the fog.

"Wow, they just walked across," Lola said, "Just like that."

"They feel no fear." Lucy added.

"You know I think I really like this Zax guy," Lola said, "He can create diamonds out of nothing. And his sister is SSSOOOO beautiful."

"I don't think those are diamonds," Lisa pointed out. "They seem to have more characteristics of an emerald."

"So long as we can walk across it." Lana added, "I don't care what they are."

Lori carefully stepped on the bridge. "Ok Lori, just walk across. No big deal, right?"

One by one the louds carefully, slowly stepped onto the bridge and started to walk across.

Soon the siblings became surrounded by fog. All they could see was thick fog, the emerald crystals they stood on, end the endless pit that waited for them below.

Suddenly Lori slipped and fell off the bridge. She screamed "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"

Lincoln immediately caught her with his powers and lifted her back to safety.

"Hey, I think I'm starting to get the hang of this," Lincoln smiled.

"Th-thank you." Lori said, getting to her feet. Her whole body was shaking.

After what felt like forever, the other side of the cavern was visible. In the mist they could see the silhouette of Michael and the others in the distance.

"Lily better be safe." Lori said to herself.

As they got closer, they got a much better look at the raptor. He still held Lily in his arms, who was smiling and giggling.

Once Lori got back onto solid ground, she rushed over to Michael and Lily.

"Oh, thank you for keeping her safe!" Lori said, giving the raptor a hug.

"She is a very well-behaved little girl." Michael said, giving Lori her little sister back. "You guys are lucky."

"So where to now?" Lori asked.

"it's getting dark," Michael said. "We should make camp for the night."

...

Zax used his powers to create the hallow emerald domes, that they would be using as tents. One for Zax and Gaya, one for the Louds, and one for Michael.

"Ugh, my back is killing me." Lincoln said, once they had all gotten into their tent.

"Really? Do you think you pulled a muscle or something?" Lori asked.

"I can fix that." Lynn suggested, cracking her knuckles.

"It feels like something was stabbed into my back." Lincoln said, taking off his shirt. "Can you guys check to make sure I don't have some sort of alien tick."

The siblings gasped.

"Whoa dude, that looks kind of nasty." Lynn said.

"Is it an alien tick?" Lincoln panicked. "Get it off me! Maybe Zax or Michael know how to remove it, get one of them."

"Uh Lincoln..." Lori said. "It's... not a tick."

"You got like a totally wicked scar on your back dude!" Lynn said.

A pink scar could be seen on Lincoln's back between his spine, and one of his shoulder blades.

"Uh... did you have some back surgery that none of us new about?" Lola asked.

"No, I don't think so." Lincoln said.

"You know, I think that's the same spot I stabbed Red." Lana replied.

"Hmm..." Lisa said. "So, you now seem to have the same powers as the Red King, and you have a mysterious scar in the same spot where the Red King was stabbed. Didn't Zax say something about quantum entanglement?"

"Yeah, he said I might have become quantum entangled or whatever with The Red King after I first made contact with him." Lincoln replied. "When I climbed that staircase. What does that even mean."

"Well when two particles are quantumly entangled," Lisa explained. "The properties of one particle will become identical to the other."

"English, Lisa." Lynn said.

"What happens to one object, also happens to the other." Lisa said. "and this can happen across any distance, even from lightyears away. In other words, not only does Lincoln get the Red King's powers, but whatever damage is dealt to the Red King, will also be dealt to Lincoln."

"So, whatever happens to The Red King, also happens to Lincoln." Lori said.

"I guess that explains how he was able to take over my mind from so far away." Lincoln said.

"Weren't we planning to help Zax, you know... End the Red King?" Luan said.

"You men kill him." Lynn said.

"LYNN!" Lori scorned.

"So... if we beat the Red King, then I could die." Lincoln said.

"Not necessarily." Lisa said. "If we can get to that staircase, where you first became entangled with The Red King, I may be able to reverse engineer the technology and break the entanglement. You'll no longer have powers, but you'll be alive, even if the Red King dies."

Lincoln looked at his hand. A blue flame ignited in his palm. "I really don't want to die." Lincoln said.

"And I don't wanna lose you." Lori added.

"Me either," Luan said.

"Your, our brother." Lana added.

"And we love you," Luna said.

"We're not going to let you die, just to beat some big jerk from outer space." Lola said.

Leni gave Lincoln the biggest hug she ever had. "I love you so much Lincoln." Leni whispered as tears started to roll down her face.

"You better be able to break this quantum thing." Lori said, holding her knees to her chest. "Otherwise, we might have to make a really tough choice, one that I really don't wanna make."

'How you guys doing in here?" Michael popped his head into the tent.

"GAH!" All the siblings yelled.

"So that's what that feels like." Lucy said

"Michael! You literally scared the crap out of us!" Lori said.

"You crapped your pants?" Michael raised an eyebrow.

"What? No!" Lori said.

"Well you said literally," Michael said, "I mean you do know what literally actually means don't you? You wouldn't just go throwing out words without knowing what they mean, would you?"

"Well I meant to say figuratively." Lori said.

"Well I was just coming in here to tell you," Michael said, "I think I saw some sleeping bags back in Shipzilla, I can quick fly over and get them for you. I know Mr. and Mrs. Rock don't mind sleeping on the hard ground, and I have made my own nest from some leaves and grass I found in the woods. But I assume you guys would want something a little more comfortable."

"Oh, yeah if you could do that," Lori said, "Thanks Mike."

"Mike?"

"It's short for Michael."

"Huh, I like it." Michael smiled, then he took off into the sky.

"For an actual space raptor, that guy's pretty nice." Luna said.

A few moments later Michael came back carrying about 10 sleeping bags, and some diapers.

"I assume one of you will be sharing with the baby," Michael said. "I also found some diapers in the supply chamber of Shipzilla. I can only assume the ship must have belonged to a family of some sort."

"What do you think happened to the previous owners?" Lana asked.

"Probably space pirates." Michael said.

"Space pirates?" Lana said with some excitement.

"Yeah, nasty little SOBs. They look like giant bugs and are mean as Hell." Michael said.

"EW!" Leni replied at the mention of giant bugs.

"Say, Zax and I are getting a fire going if you wanna join." Michael suggested. "Oh, and I have a little surprise for ya."

A small drone flew into the tent. "Hello!" Pal's voice came from the drone.

"Pal?" Lori said.

"I just remembered; I have drones!" Pal said. "Now I can follow you guys wherever you go, even outside the ship."

The party gathered around the campfire.

"So, anyone have any scary stories?" Zax asked.

"We're kind of living one right now." Lucy explained.

"Well the universe is a dark and endless place where anything can happen," Michael pointed out. "If you ask me, that's a bit more frightening than some haunted house."

"Zax, didn't you and the Red King used to be friends?" Lincoln asked.

"Oh yeah, we were like brothers." Zax replied. "It was me, Gaya, that parasite Sparky, and I don't mean that to insult him, he is a literal parasite, and then there was The Red King. We were like some sort of superhero team, protecting the universe."

"Protecting it from what?" Lincoln asked.

"Space pirates?" Lana suggested.

"Well we did get into fights with space pirates." Zax replied. "But there was a much greater evil than that."

"Well... what was it?" Lincoln asked.

"They might not be ready for this story." Gaya said to her brother.

"We called it, Shadow." Zax explained.

The loud siblings listened intently.

Lincoln remembered a voice he had heard after the stairway blew up. Beware the shadow the voice had said. Lincoln now realized that the voice was that of The Red King.

"Shadow wasn't from this universe." Zax explained. "Everything you know to be true about the monster the Red King has become, Shadow was that, and much more.

Shadow came from a rift like the one back on your home planet, and the one which the Red King's people used to bring you here.

It was the Red King's people who invented the technology to tear apart the fabric of space and time. No offense Michael"

"Ah, we know the mistakes we made." Michael said.

Zax continued. "When the Bsepoticans started creating wormholes to travel from one end of the galaxy to the other, Shadow used the opportunity to come into our universe."

"We may have invented a way to tear through our universe," Michael said. "But that shadow found its own way into the universe."

"If you believe the lies, the Red King tells to get the blame off his back." Zax said.

"So, what is Shadow?" Lori asked.

"It's the embodiment of darkness, and nothingness. We wanted to call it The Darkness, but that felt a bit cliché." Zax said. "We don't know if it's simply from a higher dimension, or if shadow is itself a higher dimension. But we do know that it likes to consume entire planets and make people's worst dreams a reality. Took nearly every advanced civilization in the galaxy to hold it back."

"Wow, that is rather interesting." Lori sad, "But not really all that scary."

"And just how exactly is an extra dimensional being that could devour the entire universe not scary?" Zax asked.

"It's too big of a scale to really be scary." Lori said. "I don't know how it works for rock people, or dinosaurs. But for humans, we need something that feels a little more relatable, something that could actually happen. You know, like a serial killer hiding in the back seat of the car, or a deadly virus."

"Or having bad hair day during a pageant." Lola added.

"Or spiders." Leni added.

"Or getting a pimple on your first date." Luan said.

Zax, Gaya and Michael all gave the Louds a confused look.

"That's what you humans are afraid of?" Michael said. "I mean I get the serial killer and deadly virus. But pimples, bugs, and bad hair? Really?"

"Oh, I know." Pal said. "How about a serial killer, with pimples, a deadly virus, bad hair, and is part spider."

"Yikes!" Leni said. "You're gonna give me nightmares."

"You think that's scary. But you're not afraid of the Shadow?" Zax said.

"Look Zax," Lori said. "It's a good story, it really is... but I mean... a giant being of darkness that seeks to devour the universe. That just, doesn't seem real. The same reason humans are no longer scared of things like witches, black magic, or the boogeyman. It's fantasy, it can never happen in real life."

"But Shadow is real." Zax said.

"I'll believe it when I see it." Lori said.

"But we have been seeing it." Lucy said.

"What do you mean?" Lori asked.

"Those monsters and killers that were after us back home." Lucy pointed out. "They had black blood and were all things we were afraid of. Don't you think that maybe they could have been created by this Shadow creature?"

"If Shadow's returned," Zax said. "Then the entire universe is in danger."

"And your home could be destroyed as we speak." Gaya added.

"Ok, now I'm a little concerned." Lori said.

"Hey, you wanna know something really scary?" Pal said.

"What?" Lincoln said.

"The pack of wild animals circling our camp right now." Pal said with glee.

"What?" Lori said.

"I can sense their heat signatures," Pal said. "They look like they're hunting us. Isn't that just terrifying."

Lori shot up to her feet as a creature crawled out of the wood. It walked on all fours and growled like some sort of wolf. However, it had no fur, it's skin was black as the night, and its head was that of an eel.

Lori's body froze with fear and her face turned pale white.

As the creature came close, blue spots on its side lite up like some sort of florescent sea creature. About three or four more of the creatures came out of the woods. The camp was surrounded.

"Leni," Lincoln said. "Take Lily inside. Lucy, take our younger sisters and follow Leni."

Lincoln walked a little closer to the creatures. "Let's see what I can do." Blue flames lit up in Lincoln's hands. He aimed one of his hands at the lead creature. A blast of energy shot out of Lincoln's hand.

However, the blast missed the creature by about a foot, and the kickback sent Lincoln flying through the air. He slammed into a tree, and fell to the ground, unconscious.

"LINCOLN!" Lori yelled.

"BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Zax burst out laughing. "Did you see that? That kid was all 'let's see what I can do' he was putting on this big tough guy act. Then he... aha ha ha. He flew into... oh man, epic FAIL kid."

"Is he okay?" Michael said.

Lori rushed over to her injured brother. One the eel wolf creatures was inching its way to the unconscious boy.

Lori picked up a large stick and swung it at the creature. "You stay away from him!"

Another creature approached her from behind.

"The little boy thought he was a man." Gaya said. "He should have let the professionals handle this."

Gaya, Zax, and Michael turned to the head creature. Green emerald blades grew from Zax's fists, vines grew around Gaya's arms, and Michael bared his claws and teeth.

The creatures stepped closer. One of them stepped on a trip wire that was set up on the ground. A cracking sound was heard, and a massive branch swung down out of the forest and smacked the creatures into the distance.

The remaining wolf/eel creatures ran off into the forest.

"Uh... what the heck was that?" Zax asked.

"Oh, yeah I meant to tell you guys." Michael said. "I set up a few traps around the camp in the event that we would get ambushed in the night."

Zax and Gaya gave Michael a surprised look.

"What?" Michael said. "it worked didn't it."

Zax looked down at his feet to make sure he wasn't near any trip wires. "Okay... so everyone, watch your step."

Lori knelt down by Lincoln. He was unconscious, but still breathing.

"Lincoln, speak to me." Lori said. She tried to pick him up.

"How's he doing." Michael asked.

The back of Lincolns head was warm and wet.

"Is he hurt?" Zax asked. "Gee I thought he was supposed to be some big tough superhero now. This is his own fault you know. He should have just stayed back and let my sister and I handle it."

"Yeah, or Michael's crazy traps." Gaya added.

Lori pulled her hand from under Lincoln's head to see that it was full of blood.

"Guy's, he's bleeding!" Lori said.

The other sisters had peaked their head out from the tent with concerned looks on their faces.

...

Meanwhile, back in space...

The Red King was walking down a hallway of his cruiser when he felt a sharp pain on the back of his head. He felt the back of his head, then looked at his hand to see that he was bleeding.

"Shit." Red said. "He's in trouble."

"Woah dude, you alright?" blue asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Red said. He hovered his hand over the wound on his head. His hand gave off a red glow, and his wound healed. "Is the prisoner ready for interrogation?"

The Red King was led into a room where the captain of the space pirates was being held. Red sat across from the bug captain.

"What do ye want?" The captain said.

"Information." Red said. "Did you happened to see a blue and silver, Junker of a ship pass through these parts. And if so, what of the crew, what happened to them?"

"I ain't tellin' you nothin'" The bug said. "We hear talk about you Red King. Ye be nothing but a tyrant."

"Well there's a lot of fake news going around the galaxy lately." Red pointed out.

"You're just going to kill me and hunt down me brothers anyway. So why should I tell you anything?" The space pirate said.

"Oh please. I don't give a rat's ass about your little band of space pirates." Red smirked. "All I want is to know where that ship is."

"What's it mean to you?" The captain asked.

The Red King made a red glowing sword materialize behind the Space pirate captain and thrust into his body.

The space pirate cried out in pain.

"Let's just say, it's carrying some precious cargo." The Red King turned his hand, and the sword twisted in the pirate's body.

"We saw it!" The pirate yelled. "But we didn't shoot it. Someone else did."

"WHO?!?!" Red yelled, twisting the sword even deeper.

"I don't know. But it landed on that accursed jungle planet!" The pirate said. "That's all I know, I swear."

The Red King made the sword vanish, then used his powers to heal the wound he inflicted on his prisoner. "Now, was that so hard."

"Wait, I do know one more thing." The Pirate said. "I know your weakness."

"Oh, do you now." Red said.

"This!" The pirate said, pulling out a jar of peanut butter that read "Skippy"

The Red King jumped to his feet. "Where did you get that?"

"I snuck it in me arse!" The pirate said. He then stabbed one of his bug legs into the jar. Breaking through the plastic lid like it was paper. He pulled the leg back out, the sharp point was now covered in peanut butter. He then stabbed it into the Red King's shoulder.

"Gah!" The Red King fell to his knees. A rash formed around his wound, and his face started to swell.

"Not so tough now, are yah." The pirate mocked.

Blue, and three other raptors came into the room. One of the raptors injected an EpiPen into the Red King. His symptoms quickly cleared up and he was back on his feet in seconds. Blue and the other raptors turned their attention to the pirate. They snarled and flexed their claws ready to strike.

"Oh shite." The pirate said, with a dumbfounded look on his face.

"You know, you called me a tyrant." Red said. "But I always thought I was a pretty good king. And what kind of king would I be, if I denied my people a chance at a free meal."

The Red King left the room, and the raptors pounced on the space pirate.

Sounds of screaming and growling and gnashing teeth could be heard as the Red King walked away from the interrogation room.

Blue caught up to the Red King moments later as he made it to his quarters. Bits of bug flesh where caught in blue's teeth.

"How did he know about my allergy?" Red asked.

Blue shrugged.

"And who the fuck checked that bug guy before he was brought in here?" Red asked.

"I believe it was those guys, uh... Ian and Anthony I believe." Blue replied.

"Well however much that fucking jar of peanut butter costs back on earth, take that out of their damn paycheck." Red ordered.

"Uh sir... are you okay?" Blue asked, a real sense of concern in her voice.

"Those kids are on one of the most dangerous planets in the galaxy, and now god knows how many people out here know the one thing that can physically hurt me." Red replied.

"Well if they are on that crazy jungle planet," Blue said. "Why not just let them get eaten by a carnivores tree or something?"

"It's not..." The Red King said. "You actually think I want to kill them?"

"Isn't that what this whole quest is about?" Blue asked.

"It's a lot more complicated than that." Red replied.

"So, what do you want to do to them?" Blue asked.

"That's personal." Red said.

"You know what? I don't wanna know." Blue said.

...

"No, Lincoln please don't leave me." Lori begged. Tears rolled down her face as she held her critically injured brother. "don't just stand there! Help me!" She yelled back to the others.

"Want me to. You know... put him out of his misery?" Zax suggested, a blade extending from his fist. "I can make it quick."

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!?!?!" Lori snapped. "I said help me! Killing my brother is not helping me!"

"Um, actually," Zax said. "With a wound like that, his chances of survival are pretty low. And besides, it's his own fault anyway for being reckless."

Lori calmly set Lincoln down. She walked up to Zax and punched him in the face as hard as she could. He fell to the ground, then Lori kicked him in the gut.

"Oof!" Zax called as Lori kicked him. Then Lori went back to Lincoln.

Zax got up on his hands and knees. Gaya walked over to him and knelt down to look him in the face.

"Can you believe she'd just beat me like that?" Zax said to his sister.

"It's your own fault for being reckless." Gaya said to Zax.

"Burn." Michael smirked.

Lincoln screamed, and blood sprayed from his shoulder.

"Lincoln!" Lori yelled. The other siblings had now rushed over.

For a second a huge gaping hole had appeared in Lincoln's shoulder. However, just as fast as it appeared, the wound healed almost completely.

Lincoln gasped as he suddenly woke up.

All his sisters quickly embraced him.

"Oh, thank goodness you're awake!" Lori said.

"I've never been more scared in my life." Lucy added.

"What happened?" Lincoln asked as his siblings broke away from the hug.

"You had a little accident. But you're okay now." Lori said, tears of joy filling her eyes.

...

The next morning Lori awoke to find Lincoln sitting by the fire pit. The fire had gone out of course.

Lori sat next to Lincoln. She placed her hand tenderly on his back.

"Hey bud, you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah." Lincoln smiled. "Of a matter of fact, I feel great!" he was moving his fingers around and making some pebbles on the ground, float in the air.

"You got bumped pretty hard on the head last night." Lori said.

"It doesn't even hurt now." Lincoln said. "But I do feel bad I wasn't able help deal with those monsters."

"Well luckily I was able to take care of those guys." Michael joined Lori and Lincoln.

"Oh yea, you may want to watch your step around here." Lori warned Lincoln.

"Hey, you know I wanna talk to you about last night." Michael said to Lincoln.

"Oh really?" Lincoln said.

"Um, Michael..." Lori said. She was afraid Michael might try to scorn Lincoln the same way Zax was (though Lincoln had not heard what Zax said.)

"I just wanted to say. What you did last night, taking charge, making sure your younger sisters got to safety, then going to fight the monsters of the night. Well that was very brave of you." Michael said.

"Thank you." Lincoln said. "I just wish I could have helped out more."

"You know, you have the makings of a true alpha." Michael said.

"An alpha?" Lincoln said. "What's that?"

"Well on my planet, an alpha is a leader." Michael said.

"Ours too, sort of." Lori said. "Though, we usually only use the term alpha when talking about packs of wolves, or velociraptors. Huh, that actually makes a lot of sense that you would use that term."

"Um actually, alpha's don't really exist." Zax said, joining the group.

"They do for raptors." Michael said.

"Hmm, no they don't." Zax said. "See a study back on earth about wolves..."

Michael got to his feet and up close to Zax. "Well I ain't a wolf. I'm a raptor. And having an alpha has been part of raptor culture for centuries."

"Yeah one alpha." Zax said. "One big, red, alpha with a serious god complex."

"You don't know anything about my species, do you?" Michael said, in a low and angry voice. "Well let me tell you a little fun fact about us Bsepoticans. We're actually venomous. This spike on our tail, houses a deadly neurotoxin that will stop your heart in minutes. And don't worry this spike, can easily break through the shell of an Oxan and get to your soft meaty parts."

"Just go ahead and try." Zax said.

"So... what's for breakfast?" Lincoln asked.

...

Later that day, the Louds found a clearing in the woods.

"Hey Lincoln," Lynn said. "You know this clearing could be a great place to practice with those sweet powers you got."

"Huh, you didn't even call him Stincoln that time." Lori pointed out.

"Eh, I can't tease him all the time." Lynn said.

"I don't know." Lincoln said. "Last time I used my powers, I got hurt really badly. Maybe we shouldn't mess around with them."

"Well if you learn to control them, maybe you won't get hurt so much." Lynn said.

"I don't know..." Lincoln said.

"Well how about you try that blast power thing from last night, on that rock over there." Lynn pointed to a rock in the middle of the clearing.

"Well first we should make sure that really is a rock," Lori said, "And not some creepy alien turtle or something."

Lori walked over to the rock. She picked up a stick and poked it. Then she nudged it with her foot.

"Okay," She yelled back. "It seems to be just a rock."

Then the stick she was holding started to move. Insect legs and feelers on the stick wriggled about.

"GAH!" Lori screamed and dropped the foot-long bug she had mistaken for a stick. "I literally want to get off this planet as soon as possible!"

Lori ran back to the others.

Lynn stepped behind Lincoln and grabbed hold of his shoulders. "Okay Lincoln, I'll keep hold of you, so you don't go flying back again. Just aim at that rock and do whatever it is you did last night."

"I'm not exactly sure what I did last night." Lincoln said, aiming his hand at the rock. A blast of blue energy shot out of Lincoln's hand. It missed the rock. "Dang it."

Then a blue glowing handgun appeared in Lincoln's hand. The gun almost looked like a hologram, yet Lincoln could hold it as if it were real.

"Uh, did you just... make a gun?" Lynn asked.

"I was just thinking it would be easier to aim with a gun or something." Lincoln said. "Like when I'm playing laser tag, or in that zombie escape room."

"Well, whatever this is," Luan said. "Looks like you can do more than just move rocks and shoot blue fire."

Lincoln aimed at the rock and fired. Direct hit.

"Hey what's going on over here?" Zax asked as he joined the group.

The gun in Lincoln's hand vanished.

"We're helping Lincoln practice with his new powers." Lori said.

"Um actually, I don't think that's a good idea." Zax said.

"Why not?" Lori said.

"Well... we don't want another Red King on our hands, do we?" Zax said.

"Lincoln is nothing like that monster!" Lana protested.

"Lincoln is a total sweetheart," Lynn said. "He would never do what the Red King did?"

"What did The Red King do again?" Leni asked.

"Hmm, funny." Zax said. "Because ever since I got to this planet. Lincoln here has been nothing but an arrogant little brat, who cares little about the consequences of what he does."

"I'm sorry." Lincoln said sheepishly. His face blushed with embarrassment and shame.

"Hey, that's not fair," Lori said. "You don't even know Lincoln. We literally just met you. Who are you to judge?"

"Yeah, what's your problem dude?" Lynn said.

"No, it's fine..." Lincoln said.

"I heard what you said about him last night." Lynn said.

"Lynn, just let it go..." Lincoln said.

"When Lincoln cracked his skull open." Lynn said. "He could have died! And all you had to say was that it was his fault! That he was being reckless!"

"You're right, I'm sorry." Zax said. "You were hurt really bad, and what I said was wrong."

"You were going to KILL him!" Lynn scorned.

"Wait what?" Lincoln said.

"No, you misunderstand." Zax said. "I didn't think he was going to make it, and I..."

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Zax was interrupted by the sound of something massive moving through the forest. Then a loud roar.

"What the heck was that?" Lori asked.

"My guess," Zax said. "Hungry."

A creature slithered out of the woods. From the waist up the creature resembled a large gorilla. However, the bottom half was that of a big thick snake, much like an anaconda.

The creature opened its mouth and let out a roar/hissing sound. In its mouth was a set of long pointy snake fangs. Long sharp claws extended from each of its fingers.

"Oh no," Lincoln said. "I left the lightsaber at the camp!"

"Someone better call J.K Rowling," Luan said. "Because we just found Snape! Get it? Snake, ape, Snape. Ha ha ha."

"Well that's exactly what it is too." Michael said, joining the group. "My people scouted this planet many years back. We decided this planet was far too dangerous for any nation to colonize. And creatures like this are one of the many reasons why.

This guy has the combined strength of a gorilla and an anaconda. His fangs and claws are both venomous. And yes, we raptors do know quite a few species from Earth, let's not get into that."

The Snake-ape charged at the group, roaring like a locomotive.

Lincoln heard a voice in his head, he recognized the voice once again as the Red King.

"It's like lucid dreaming," Red's voice said. "You need to believe, to know that your surrounding are yours to command. Have confidence in yourself and stay strong."

Lincoln got himself into a strong stance with his feet planted firmly on the ground. He took a deep breath and thrust his hand forward. A blue brick wall materialized between him and the snake ape. The beast crashed into the wall at top speed and fell to the ground.

"Holy crap Lincoln!" Lynn yelled, "That was amazing." She thrust her fists into the air.

The beast got back onto its fists and shook its head.

"Kid, you better have more ticks up your sleeve." Michael said.

"I'll distract him," Lincoln said. "Michael see if you can get close enough to stab it with your tail."

Lincoln shot a couple blasts of blue flames at the monster. The flames only made the creature angrier. It snarled and charged after Lincoln.

Michael darted around the creature at amazing speeds. The raptor was about to pounce when Zax shot a crystal spear at the snake ape.

The creature caught the crystal in mid-air, crushed it with one hand and gave a sinister smile.

Zax was positioned near where Michael was going to attack from, so now Michael was in the line of sight of the snake ape.

"Nice going." Michael said to Zax.

The snake ape roared and charged after Zax and Michael. Lincoln ran over to the two just in time. He created a blue force field around Zax and Michael.

"Wow, thanks." Zax said.

"You're really getting a hold of those powers." Michael added.

"You could say I'm learning on the job." Lincoln remarked. "But I'm still not entirely sure what I'm doing."

The snake ape jammed its claws into the force field. Lincoln held with all his might. In moments, the monster's long sharp claws started digging into the force field like it was made of glass.

The force field shattered. The snake ape grabbed Lincoln and threw him into the air.

"I got ya kid!" Michael yelled. He flew into the air and caught Lincoln.

The snake ape then snatched Zax up attempting to crush him in its fist. The snake ape roared in pain as spikes stuck out of Zax's body like some sort of porcupine.

The creature dropped Zax on the ground. Green emerald spikes had stuck in the snake ape's paw, some digging all the way through the flesh and coming out the back of its hand.

Gaya joined the fight, commanding vines to grow from the ground and wrap around the creature's muscular aims and hold it in place. The creature flexed its muscles and snapped the vines.

Michael and Lincoln landed back on the ground.

The snake ape grabbed Gaya with its snake-like tail and started to squeeze tight. Gaya's diamond skin started to crack under the pressure.

"GAYA!" Zax yelled.

Gaya made spikes grow from her body, the same way her brother did just moments before. However, the beast's tail was much thicker and stronger than its fists and Gaya's spikes could get deep enough to cause damage before they were shattered.

Blue energy formed around the snake apes tail. Lincoln struggled as he tried to pull the beasts tail apart with his mind.

Lincoln managed to get Gaya free.

"My surroundings are mine to control." Lincoln said to himself as he reached his hand toward the rock he was shooting at earlier.

The rock started to slowly float into the air.

"Come on, you can do it..." Lincoln said to himself. "Just gotta believe in yourself, right?"

Lincoln swung his hand making the rock fly directly at the snake ape's face. The creature caught the rock before it hit its face and turned its attention to Lincoln.

Suddenly a look of shock formed on the snake ape's face. It looked back to see Michael clinging to its back. The barb on Michael's tail was buried deep in the back of the monster's neck, and a smirk had formed on the raptor's face.

The beast roared in pain and Michael dismounted. The beast desperately grabbed at its back trying to somehow relieve itself of the intense pain brought on by Michael's venom.

The monster's arms went limp and it collapsed to the ground, dead.

"Dang Michael!" Luna said. "Remind us never to piss you off."

"MAN, WITH A PLAN!" Lynn said as she gave her brother a high five.

"Yeah, some plan. It failed." Zax said.

Michael then gave Zax a piercing stare, Zax didn't see it, however.

"Well sometimes plans fail," Lincoln replied. "And when they do, you just gotta adapt to the change. Besides, everything worked out. The monster's dead, we're alive. Oh and your welcome for saving your sister by the way."

"I could handle myself." Gaya chimed in.

"Um actually sis' I don't think anyone could have handled that alone," Zax said. "No shame in admitting you needed help."

"I guess the boy did save my skin back there. Good job Lincoln." Gaya said.

"I'll admit," Zax said. "You did a good job back there. You really are starting to master those powers. But don't let this get to your head."

"For once I agree with the living piece of jewelry." Michael said. "This planet is incredibly dangerous. You need to be on your toes at all times."

"Um like, wouldn't it be super hard to walk around if you're just standing on your tippy toes?" Leni asked.

...

The Red King sat in his meditation chamber, meditating (As one would in a meditation chamer). He was sitting pretzel legged and floating in the air.

Blue walked in on him.

The Red King opened his glowing red eyes. "Well I'll be a monkey's weird drunken uncle. The little spit-fuck has powers. And boy are they strong. Never have I been prouder."

"Uh sorry for interrupting. I just wanted to know if you wanted us to set a course for that jungle planet." Blue said.

Red got to his feet. "Don't worry you're fine. And yes, of course I want to set a course for the jungle planet. We don't want the Louds to get eaten by some monster, or carnivorous tree, do we?"

"Also, I found the guys who did a search on that bug guy." Blue said. "What did you want done about them? Should we throw them out the airlock?"

"Well fuck, Blue!" Red said. "Awfully morbid little thing, aren't you? What do I look like? A comic book supervillain? Those are still our people. If I just start throwing our people out airlocks every time they mess up, our army will just get smaller. Like I said before, dock their pay, and make sure that next time, they check every crevasse of the prisoner before bringing them in."

"Did I hear you say Lincoln has powers now?" Blue asked.

"Yes, he does." Red smirked.

"Are they like yours?"

"Exactly like mine." Red replied. "Only his powers are blue."

"But... how is that possible?" Blue asked. "Until now, you were the only one in the universe with those powers. The only way to get them is to be present during the big bang. And Lincoln's like what? 12?"

"He's 11."

"And the big bang was over a trillion years ago." Blue said. "How the heck does an eleven-year-old get access to primal energy, that was created over a trillion years ago."

"Though me, sort of." Red said. "Lincoln and I are connected. We're quantumly entangled. It's a lot to explain, but the short of it is that whatever happens to one of us, happens to both of us."

"So, when he gets hurt," Blue said. "So, do you. That explains why you're so eager to protect him. How did this connection form anyway? Was it when you first made contact with him?"

"Oh, our connection runs much deeper than that." Red said. "It's complicated. But yeah, it is very beneficial to my health, if Lincoln Loud survives."

"But you don't need his sisters then." Blue said. "So, what's the plan hear? Capture Lincoln, tie him up, and have us eat his sisters while he watches, helpless to stop us?"

The Red King raised an eyebrow. "You really wanna know what my deal is with that family?"

"I didn't, but now I'm starting to get curious." Blue said. "Yeah sure, tell me."

"Alright, but you should sit down, because this is going to be a mind fuck." Red smirked.

...

"We should be getting close to our ship soon." Zax replied.

"So, then we're heading to Earth, right?" Lori said. "Then we can get a bunch of peanut butter to defeat the Red King once and for all."

"Not quite yet," Zax replied. "I think your brother would agree it helps to come up with a plan. And then have a few back up strategies in case the plan fails. Isn't that right Lincoln?"

"Yeah I'll say." Lincoln said.

"Sounds like you're learning a bit from the boy." Gaya remarked. "Could it be that you are warming up to him?"

"The little squirt has a way of growing on ya." Zax said.

"So, what's the backup plan?" Lincoln asked.

"Well believe it or not," Zax said. "I have some connections, and a way to get our hands on one of the Red King's planet destroying lasers. So, if things go sideways, that laser should have more than enough power to blow Red's ship, The Singularity to oblivion."

"Whoa! That! Sounds! AWSOME!!!!!" Lynn said.

"Yeah, but what about the raptors working in the ship?" Michael said. "The one's who aren't the Red King. You're talking about a massacre here."

"Those raptors are part of the Red King's army." Zax said. "Anny of the innocent civilians are living comfortably on the Bsepotican home world. This is war Michael, I figured you of all people would understand that."

"While we're going to other planets." Lynn said. "Can we go to whatever planet those Inkling creatures are from? Maybe we can catch a few of them ourselves. And you know, have a fish fry, perhaps to celebrate our victory over the Red King."

"Well there's a problem with that." Zax admitted. "I don't really know what planet the Inklings are from. I just know they are some sort of aquatic cephalopod, and their meet sells like crazy."

"Have you ever actually seen an inkling?" Lori asked. "Like a live one?"

"No, I've just seen their meet after they've been butchered." Zax said. "Why you ask?"

"Well how do we know they're really just animals?" Lincoln asked.

"What do you mean?" Zax said.

"Well who do you get the meet from? Do you trust them?" Lincoln asked.

"I've never actually spoken with the company personally," Zax replied. "I do that kind of business online."

"Well how do you know that the Inklings aren't you know, a civilized nation?" Lori asked. "For all we know this company of yours could be literally abducting people and chopping them up to sell their meet."

"Oh, I don't feel so good..." Lynn moaned, realizing the possibility she might have unknowingly eaten a person.

"Well that is really worth looking into." Zax said. "If it turns out I've been buying slaughtered people, I don't want my people to be eating that. What brought this to mind?"

"After all the weirdness lately," Lori said. "I've kind of been learning that not everything is as it seems out here in the universe. When you said you've never actually seen an inkling, made me wonder if you really knew what it was."

"That's some good thinking Lori." Zax said. "You know, after all this is over, and The Red King is finally gone for good. Gaya and I planned to retire. Go to a nice quiet planet and settle down. But that leaves a great big hole in this universe. Maybe once the Red King is gone, he should be replaced by a blue queen."

"Blue Queen?" Lori said, raising an eyebrow.

"You Lori." Zax said. "You should take The Red King's place and become the Queen of the galaxy."

"Well I mean, Lincoln's the one who's shooting blue fire from his hands." Lori said.

"Power does not make you a great king." Zax said. Then he leaned in to whisper in Lori's ear. "And between you and me, I don't think Lincoln is exactly king material."

"And you think I am?" Lori said.

"Lori Loud, you are a born leader," Zax smiled.

"Lori, he's giving you the chance to be a queen!" Lola said. "TAKE IT!!!!!"

"Oh, I don't know." Lori said. "That's a lot of responsibility, and I don't even like politics."

"If she doesn't want to be the queen don't make her." Michael said. "Not everyone is as obsessed as you are Zax."

Lori leaned over to talk to Luna.

"You ever notice that Zax and Michael fight a lot?" Lori whispered. "I just hope that doesn't end badly."

"Don't' worry about it bra," Luna said. "By the end of this, those two will be the best of friends."

"Michael, Zax, I wanna ask you guys a few questions about your species." Lisa asked.

"A sure I guess." Michael said.

"Sounds fine to me." Zax added.

"Michael, I have observed that your tail is highly venomous," Lisa said. "How does that work?"

"Well," Michael said. "If I were to compare my venom to a creature from your planet. It's most like that of what you call a box jellyfish. It causes a lot of pain and stops your heart."

"Fascinating." Lisa said. "Never before has human science observed a bird that actually creates venom!"

"Certainly not raptors." Lori said. "At least we don't think so."

"You have raptors on your planet?" Michael said.

"We did," Lori said. "But they're literally extinct."

"How did that happen?" Michael asked.

"Our scientists speculate that a meteor hit the planet about 65 million years ago." Lisa said. "So that thing you fought back there. Which appeared to be half snake, and half ape. You said it was venomous too? Is it similar to yours? Or..."

"Oh the Snake Ape?" Michael said. "The venom from that guy will turn your blood into jelly."

"COOL!" Lana said. "I want to have jelly for blood!"

"Uh kid... that would kill you." Michael said.

"Oh," Lana said. "Never mind."

"Zax," Lisa said. "If you don't mind my asking. Is your species made entirely of rock or..."

"We have an outer shell that is similar to emeralds and diamonds," Zax replied. "But we do have flesh and organs underneath."

The group came across another cliff.

"Dang it." The Louds all said in unison.

"Don't worry," Zax said. "Our ship is just on the other side of this crevasse. And this time there is a nice and sturdy rope bridge, this one has railings."

"That's not much better." Luan complained.

The group were horrified at the site they were met with upon crossing the bridge. Zax's ship, was completely totaled, like something big had crushed it.

"NO!" Zax said.

Lori fell to her knees. "Now we're literally stuck here! We're never getting home."

Michael made his way to the wreckage. "Looks like something really did a number on this thing.

"Hey guys check it out." Lincoln pointed to a set of enormous three-toed footprints. "These prints are fresh. Whatever did this might still be close by."

"looks like these were left by some sort of t-rex," Luan pointed out. "Or a dragon."

"COOL a dragon!" Lana said with glee.

Michael studied the wreck. "I can probably scavenge some parts from what's left of your ship and use them to repair Shipzilla."

"Great idea!" Pal's voice came from the drone he was controlling. "Shipzilla's not in that bad of shape. It just needs some spare parts."

Thump! Thump! Thump! The sound of footsteps echoed through the forest.

"Looks like we got company." Michael said.

The sound of trees cracking and falling over could be heard as the creature stepped out of the woods. It looked almost like a t-rex, but more alien. It's skin was pitch black and blue glowing stripes ran down its sides. Its teeth and tongue glowed blue like a florescent jelly fish. On its chest it had four small arms.

The beast gave an earth-shattering roar.

Michael quickly picked up a handful of metal scraps from the wreckage. He quickly assembled the pieces into what looked like a gun. He aimed it at the alien t-rex and fired a red laser blast at the monster.

"He just literally made a laser gun out of a bunch of random scraps." Lori pointed out.

"And in only a matter of seconds." Lisa added. "Impressive."

The dinosaur turned its attention toward Michael.

Lincoln threw out his hand and a chain made of blue energy materialized from his palm and slung around the monster's neck.

Lincoln tried to pull the t-rex back. The t-rex shook its head to the side and tossed Lincoln in the air like he was nothing. Just before Lincoln slammed into a tree, he created a blue forcefield around himself. He slammed into a tree and shattered it.

The t-rex stomped over to Lincoln and was just about to strike when a rock hit him from the side. The t-rex turned to see who had just attacked it.

Lynn stood by a pile of rocks, holding a few more rocks in her hands.

"Hey butt face!" Lynn shouted. "It's time for you to become extinct! Batter up!" she tossed another rock at the dinosaur hitting it square in the face. The creature roared in anger.

Zax summoned a green Chrystal from the ground that stabbed into the side of the t-rex. The creature grabbed the crystal with its teeth and threw it into the woods.

Gaya commanded the trees to wrap their branches around the monster and hold it down.

Luan picked up a stick from the ground and started to stab at the t-rex. The t-rex clamped down on the stick and launched Luan into the air. She screamed as she tumbled in midair.

The t-rex opened its mouth waiting for Luan to fall into its jaws. But Michael quickly shot into the air and caught the young girl before she fell to her doom.

Just as Michael placed Luan back on the ground, he was snatched up by the mighty dinosaur. The creature clamped down on the raptor and shook him about.

"MICHAEL!" Lincoln yelled, shooting a blast of blue flames at the monster.

Michael stabbed his tail into the dinosaur's lip, injecting as much venom as he could.

The t-rex opened its jaws to roar in pain, letting Michael fall to the ground.

Michael got back to his feet. His robotic wings began to spark.

The t-rex stumbled around, groaning in pain. Michael's venom was starting to take effect.

"He's a big boy." Michael said. "It might take a bit for the venom to reach his heart."

The t-rex stomped down on the ground near the edge of the cliff. The ground gave beneath the creatures massive weight. Part of the cliffside crumbled and the t-rex creature fell into the water below. Zax, Gaya, and Michael all feel with it.

"Oh no! GUYS!" Lori yelled.

The Loud's three alien guides were gone.

"Looks like pal got damaged in the fight too." Luna said, holding a destroyed drone. It had gotten destroyed in the fight.

"Well the drone was just a means for Pal to communicate with us." Lisa said. "Pal himself is just fine back at Shipzilla."

"What do we do now?" Lola said. "We're trapped on an alien planet. Millions of lightyears from home. And the only ones who could help us just fell off a cliff."

Lana took a look at the scraps from Zax's ship. "Well I'm no Michael. But I may be able to get some of these parts installed on Shipzilla to get her moving again. It's gonna be a challenge though, this is alien tech we're dealing with."

"But first we need to walk all the way back to Shipzilla," Lori said. "Through miles of dangerous terrane. Full of vicious creatures no human has eve seen before, all waiting to literally eat us all alive."

"I'm scared," Leni whimpered.

"It's ok Leni," Lori said, holding her sister's hand. "I'm scared too."

Lincoln came up to hold Leni's other hand. "As long as we all have each other, we'll get through this."

"LOUDS NEVER QUIT!!!!" Lynn yelled.

They crossed the rope bridge again and began their journey back to Shipzilla.

...

"Hey Lincoln," Lori said as they walked through the woods. "You know I've noticed a change in you."

"The powers?" Lincoln said. "I think everyone's noticed that."

"No, I mean. You're becoming a lot more, confidant." Lori said.

"Confident?" Lincoln said.

"Yeah a lot surer of yourself." Lori said.

"Well these powers do help." Lincoln said. "Granted they take a bit of getting used to. They kind of came out of nowhere. Bet when we get back to Earth, when we undo this quantum entanglement thing with the Red King, I won't have these powers anymore. Then I'll just be back to being me."

"Well what's wrong with that?" Lori asked.

"Well in case you haven't noticed." Lincoln said. "Back on Earth, I wasn't the smartest, or the strongest, or really even the most likable Loud. You and our sisters are just so amazing, and I'm just. Well I'm just me. But out here, with these powers. Now I'm kind of awesome."

"Lincoln," Lori smiled, she knelt down to look her brother in the eyes and placed a hand on his shoulder. "You don't need powers to be awesome. You're already a great guy, just the way you are."

"Well now I am." Lincoln said. "Now that I can shoot balls of fire from my hands, create things out of light, and move stuff with my mind."

"You were always special Linc," Lori said. "You're our brother, and we love you, with or without your powers. or technically the Red King's powers."

"I don't know that I really deserve your love," Lincoln said.

"Lincoln!" Lori said, "Don't say things like that, of course you do. And when we get back, things will be back to the way they have always been. You, me our sisters, our friends. We can get back to our normal lives."

"Well what if I don't wanna go back?" Lincoln said. "I... I feel like I can really be somebody out here. If only there was a way, we could beat the Red King and I could keep my powers. Then I can stay out here. You girls can go back home, leave me behind. Then not only can I live to my full potential out in space. But so, can you, now that you won't have me holding you back."

"Lincoln you are not holding us back." Lori said. "And we will never leave you behind. As long as I'm alive, neither I, nor any of our sisters will ever abandon you."

Then two large tree roots that Lincoln's foot was between grew teeth and clamped on the boy's leg like some sort of wooden bear trap.

"AHHHH!!!!!!" Lincoln yelled in pain and shock.

"LINCOLN!" Lori shouted. The other sisters rushed over.

Lincoln shot a few bursts of flames at the ground to no avail. More roots slithered from the ground and wrapped around Lincoln's leg.

"Lori Help!" Lincoln yelled.

Lori grabbed onto her brother's hand and pulled. The tree was quickly pulling him into the ground, he was already up to his waist.

The other sisters all joined in and grabbed Lincoln's hand. Both Lincoln and his sisters pulled with all their might, but the tree was too strong. Lincoln noticed roots slithering up his arms and making their way to his sisters.

"You have to let me go!" Lincoln said.

"I can't!" Lori said.

"It'll get you guys too." Lincoln said.

Lincoln's hand slipped from his sisters grip and he was swiftly swallowed into the ground.

The girls backed away as tree roots slithered toward them. As soon as they seemed to be out of range, Lori fell to her knees.

"Lincoln." A tear rolled down Lori's cheek.

...

Back in space...

Blue's jaw dropped at what the Red King had told her.

"You have got to be kidding me." Blue said.

"No, every word of what I just said, was the truth." The Red King said with a smile. "That's who I really am, and that is my true relationship to Lincoln Loud."

"That's... I never would have guessed." Blue said. "That's incredible!"

"I don't like to talk about it." Red said. "But I trust you. GAH!" The Red King suddenly felt a burning sensation. He looked at his arm to see it was turning pinkish red, as if it were being burned. "We gotta go now. Lincoln's in mortal danger."

"Right away sir!" Blue saluted the King and ran out of the room.

The Red King got back into a pretzel legged positionto start meditating again. "Don't worry kid, the King is coming to the rescue."
