In the Farlands

?????: Ezahn. We've been...treking for so long...
It's. Tiresome. Can we rest...?

Me: We have to be close...we have to!

Zexco: Best to listen to your partner! We may kill you when you're not properly at strength.
Dello: Don't give them ideas...

Hearing the two comrades plot against me. Or at least what it seemed. Filled me with...skepticism. Not of my survival. But if I would see them and of this journey. We have indeed been on this trail for a while. However, something keen would have shown itself by now. We've reached quite far from the City I was in originally. Now in a mountainous area, the sights I'm used to.

I don't think reaching the top would be necessary...
But perhaps the caves? I would cover every inch and Rock of this Mountain if I have to. It's just...I can feel it. Something is here! For now...I have to manage these children...so I turned around and confronted their foolishness.

Me: I never said we had to be friends...but even if we can't be comrades- even for now. None of us may survive...

Dello: We were never allies in the first place...

?????: Hence, why you've been subjected to a slave...
But. Ezahn...please? Can we rest?

Zexco: Ghost-type over here, I don't have muscles...

The Marshadow snarked, and rolled Its husky eyes. I did find the comment rather amusing. However, I felt as if I chuckled. Maybe that would send a signal that I was growing soft.
Well...maybe that isn't a bad thing...now that I think about it...
Our wars, segregation, and even our religious and political debates are long over. I think it's time for a new history. Maybe this could be the start.

Me: Hnnf. How could I forget? And being combined with the prowess of a Fighting-type, as well as small size. Now that's a despicable package.

To everyone's dismay, they almost jolted back in surprise, shocked I complimented our nemesis. And Darkout was the first to speak. He looked over to me with...of course, confusion.

?????: Did...did you just praise our enemy?

Me: Ever heard: Keep your friends close, and enemies closer?

?????: Ezahn, I'm sure that's meant in a very...metaphoric manner...

Me: It's what I'm doing with you, Darkout. You even have tried to be openly friendly with me.

?????: Only because I'm trying to learn what your goals are...

The other two stayed quiet. But still, their expressions were parallel. Darkout just groaned and out his claws to his head. It seemed to annoy him...

?????: Záfergk mìggh úñgurnth....

Wait a minute! I know that language! Wasn't that Yervë- as Zexco spoke of!? I couldn't even acknowledge his annoyance, I'm too fixated! That could help. So I shifted over to him quickly and questioned it.

Dello: I think I know those words...

Me: You know the Yervë language!?

I questioned Darkout. He slowly turned to me and seemed hesitant to answer. I don't know why, but I couldn't care as to the reasoning. I needed to know this, I know it'll be useful later on.

?????: Yes...I do.

That was all he said. I think he was being vague on purpose. Maybe he didn't want me to know something. I had to.

Me: Then that means you can help us in the endgame of our journey; I know what the final piece of this journey. But I do not know where it lies. I know you'll likely play a part in it.

He stayed silent for almost a minute. He looked off into the distance of our uncovered land. He seemed to think hard, and gave a sigh, and let his head fall.

?????: Alright...I'll do it.

Dello: But the same question remains: Where is it? Takes a certain mind...not even a scholar...or archeologist such as yourself, could find it. It requires a brutal sacrifice. One WE...have survived. Because we are endless. No matter the task, we are far better-suited than you.

Me: Yet, still. Half-mortals. Ageless. But not beyond death...

Zexco: It doesn't matter. Even if you were to use our lives. You would not succeed. We passed the 'test' because of something you. Do. Not. Understand....
Friendship. I know it sounds like quite an Irnoic thing...is it because I'm violent, and Dello is docile? Or perhaps the King of Darks has adopted a soft-spot for...a Ghost-type? Yes, they, are quiet. But, you'd be surprised just what kind of...things you could learn. Things that...you would never have the lifespan to know.
Things...that make...the universe...cripple-

Me: ENOUGH!! Test me some more. Test my will of patience, to see if I won't use my FULL-power! You don't know me...what I've done, WHO I am! Is the name- Ezahn Gigawatt- JUST a NAME to you!? It is a generational heritage that has- and will be known EARTHWIDE. Don't...make me curse my blood...

Zexco: Your time has come and gone...Gigawatt.

He was right. It's a different world here. Things I haven't seen. The culture, the architecture and even the type of Pokemon allowed to roam this world many would be too scared to see. Or consider taboo. Maybe it really is just a name...

Dello: What do you seek from this? To gain something which was lost?

Zexco: A meaningless excursion. We're stopping you, not because we are your enemies.
But your Father. Do you know what happens when you meddle with things that aren't...mortal?

A question for another time. The situation is too tense for me to think. There has to be a bigger meaning beyond this. Beyond me...it may be all in vain.
...
...
...
No. I'll never let it all go to waste. For both our sakes. My muzzle crackled with electricity as I looked them both in the eyes.

Me: I've come too far. Worked too hard. Just to stop now. There were sacrifices made-

Dello: Foolish ones. This is the end, Gigawatt.
