"You're absolutely certain? Like, 100% certain?" Jade asked. The League had gotten an alert and the team- along with Jade and Roy, who were now members of the Justice League as of that day, and the newest team member, Rocket- were sent to handle it.

"Everything has confirmed it. It's definitely Artemis Crock, AKA Nyx," Robin said. "But you've seen her without her mask. What do you think?"

"It's her," Jade sighed.

"Ok, so the plane should be around here somewhere-" Robin started to say but cut off as shock hit the teens like a sucker punch. The plane was on the ground, surrounded by snow, broken. Jade was trying to process what she was seeing as a feeling of terror started to fill her.

Soon, they were digging through the remains of the plane. "Where are the bodies?" Superboy said.

"Here's one," A female voice rang through through the air. "And it is stunning."

The team- well, and Cheshire and Red Arrow- whipped their heads around to see Nyx and the Riddler, along with several other villains. Jade couldn't help but crack a smile as a wave of relief ran through her.

"I am shrubbery, not grass. I am flora, not fauna. What am I?" Riddler asked.

Shock was still radiating in waves from the young adults.

"Come on, kiddies! You can get this! I-"

"Ambush," Robin groaned.

Obviously, a fight ensued. "Hey, Sis!" Artemis said cheerily.

"I'm gonna need that," Jade said, gesturing to the briefcase her little sister said.

"Not even a hello? Rude." Artemis swung her sword at him. Jade threw her sai. Artemis dodged it easily. "Just like old times. Dad pitting us against each other." She looked up as she got a weird feeling. Her eyes widened. "Jade!" She tackled her sister to the ground as an avalanche crashed down. Jade looked at her in shock. Artemis rolled her eyes. "You're my sister. I don't actually want you dead." She stood up, and disappeared. Jade looked over at the briefcase laying mere yards away.

"There's something I have to tell you," Superboy said.

Everyone looked at him in surprise. It seemed pretty random.

"I- over Thanksgiving, I went back to Cadmus. And I learned something. When I was made, only half of the DNA was Superman's. The other half was human." Conner paused, taking a deep breath, steeling himself. "The DNA belonged to Lex Luther. He's my father. And he's been giving me these." He showed them a box with something in the shape of Superman's logo. "They give me Superman's powers. He wants to meet me Bialya to give me more of them."

Jade was in a state of pure shock, along with everyone else. Then she realized it was time to reveal her own secret. "Well, Conner, you know my family isn't great either. Huntress, Sportsmaster, and-" They looked confused when she said 'and'. "And Nyx. She's my little sister. I know I never told you guys that I had a sister, and I should've, it was so selfish of me not to, but it was months after GA and Canary took me in that the thought even occurred to me, and I felt like it was too late, but then years went by, and then... next thing I knew, it had been six years, and she was standing in front of me.

"I never thought that she'd be a villain! The whole reason I left was because I was scared that I would be! She was always so sweet, and gentle, and loving, and she was Dad's favorite, so I thought she'd be fine! I mean, I know now that this sounds stupid, but back then I thought that a few beatings every now and then was fine, and that was all she'd get, but it wasn't and I'm a terrible sister, and person in general. You've got nothing on me Superboy." She plopped down on the floor, her head between her knees. "I'd understand if you all hate me now."

Roy knelt down next to her. He wrapped his arms around her. "What you did was wrong Jade. But you're not a terrible person. You want to be better. Bad people don't want to be better."

Jade looked up at him, tears swimming in her eyes. "Really?"

"Really." He squeezed her tightly. "I love you Jade. More than I can ever say. And I'm sure everyone else agrees that you aren't a bad person. You made a mistake- albeit a bad one- but everyone makes mistakes. We won't hold a grudge against you for it."

Everyone else nodded in agreement. Roy wiped her tears away. "It's ok, Jade."

She held on to him like her life depended on it. "Thank you. All of you. Also... Dad wants to meet me in Bialya too. Says I'm not cut out for hero work cuz of what I did."

"I have something to admit too, while we're at it," Megan said. "Queen Bee has been... blackmailing me. I lied about my real Martian form..." She shapeshifted into something Jade couldn't describe. But once she got over herself, she couldn't help but wonder why Megan didn't just say that already. She wasn't human, she didn't have to look like one.

"I knew." Conner said. "I've known since we linked minds in Bialya. It never mattered to me. You're still M'gann."

She shapeshifted back into her usual form. "Thanks, Conner. And Bee wants me in Bialya, too, which rings bells for the idea that they're planning something."

Robin looked lost in thought. After a couple of minutes, he smirked. "I have a plan."

Jade slid out of the helicopter after her sister, feigning a look of shock at the sight of Superboy and Miss Martian. Seeing Their mock surprise, she shrugged. "I was never cut out for the hero gig. I'm right where I belong." Sportsmaster set his hand on her shoulder. She somehow managed not to flinch, even though she instinctively wanted to.

"You told me no one else would be here!" Megan exclaimed.

"Well, I lied," Queen Bee said simply.

Conner stepped forward. "Red son," Luther said before the teen could do anything. Conner froze.

Jade pulled out her crossbow, aiming it at Lex. "Sorry, Dad. Tried to play you like you tried to play me. But I can't let him mess with Superboy's head."

"Megan, be a dear and take Cheshire out," Queen Bee said nonchalantly.

Megan lifted Jade in the air. Jade flipped over and shot an arrow at Queen Bee's feet, knocking her unconscious.

Conner unfroze and cracked his knuckles.

"I see that someone- most likely Miss Martian erased red son from his mind and knocked out Queen so she couldn't control him." Lex stated.

"Yep. And all traces of anything else that you might have implanted. You won't be controlling anyone anymore." Megan said.

The rest of the team arrived, taking the villains by surprise. Jade soon found herself cornered by her father and sister. She ducked as her father swung his hammer at her. It knocked down the tree behind her. Jade barely avoided getting hit. "Now, now, Jade. You've been very disobedient, Little Girl. And you know I don't tolerate disobedience."

"Yeah, Dad. Artemis and I learned that the hard way." Suddenly, Roy tackled Artemis to the ground.

"Cheshire! Now!" Aqualad called. Jade jumped up, grabbing an overhead tree branch. The ground gave way to a muddy substance that Sportsmaster sunk into. Jade jumped down, using her father's head as a springboard.

"Artemis! Help me!" The man called.

Nyx smirked. "In this family, it's every girl for herself." She winked at Jade before disappearing into the shadows.

"Artemis! Artemis!"

Jade knocked his lights out. His mask clattered to the forest floor. Roy walked over to her, wrapping his arm around her reassuringly. Jade handed the mask to Wally. "Souvenir."
