"Floyd." Floyd opened his eyes he was in front of the troll tree. He looked around and saw his grandma and another troll which he recognized as his baby brother. Floyd excitedly ran to them.

"Grandma! Branch!" He exclaimed happily as he ran toward them. The ran toward him. Branch ran faster in front of their grandma.

Suddenly their was a loud noise. Like an alarm clock going off. Wait an alarm clock?

Floyd opened his eyes and he looked around. Where was he? He rubbed his eyes as he sat up in bed. He opened his eyes and yawned, stretching his arm out. He climbed out of bed. At that moment a hand touched the alarm clock silencing it. Floyd looked up to see veneer who smiled. "Morning sleepy head. Sleep alright?"

"Yep Floyd said as veneer opened his hand to carry Floyd into the dining area.

"OK I microwaved you some waffles. Now Velvet wants the lesson to start in 15 minutes."

Floyd took a bite of his waffle. He munched happily.

Just then velvet marched into the room. "How long does it take to eat a piece of waffle?" She snapped.

"Easy velvet. Try to be patient."

Velvet scowled. "Eat faster." She ordered.

Floyd swallowed. "This is as fast as I can eat velvet. Plus if I eat any faster. I'm gonna end up probably getting the hiccups."

"Eat...faster...now!" Velvet growled.

Floyd chewed faster and swallowed. "Done." He said.

"Finally." Velvet said.

"OK now is there a space where we can..."

"The living room is fine,"Velvet said.

Veneer set his hand on the table so Floyd could climb on and carried him onto the livingroom where he placed him on a coffee table.

"OK now for me to understand...." Floyd suddenly hiccupped. He covered his mouth and cleared his throat. "Sorry anyways right now just sing as best you *hic*" Floyd covered his mouth with his hands. Uh oh. He had the hiccups.

"Velvet groaned. "Are you kidding me!" She angrily said.

"I'm sorry I think I *hic* ate my food a bit too fast *hic*"

"Well stop hiccupping." Velvet snapped.

"I can't make them *hic* stop Velvet. They'll go away *hic* on their own in a little bit. We just need to *hic* be patient."

"I don't want to wait!" Velvet growled.

Floyd backed away nervously and hiccupped.

Veneer picked up floyd. He carried him to the kitchen and got out a bottle of water. He pored some water into a thimble.

"Sorry I don't have any cups that are small enough for you. But hopefully a bit of water will help make the hiccups stop."

Floyd smiled and reached for the thimble he hiccupped again. He took the thimble and took a sip. He smiled. I think that...*hic*" Floyd frowned and finished off the water in his thimble. "*hic* they're still there."

Veneer frowned. "Water always got my hiccups to stop. Oh I know. Maybe a bit of lemon will help. When velvs. Gets the hiccups she bites into a lemon and her hiccups go away."

He got out a lemon slice and gave it to floyd.

Floyd looked uneasy and hiccupped. He really wanted to stop his hiccups. So he closed his eyes and took a bite of the lemon.

He made a face. "This is really sour veneer." He exclaimed.

Quickly veneer got a cookie and broke off a big chunk and gave it to floyd who bit into it he sighed with relief as the sour nasty in his mouth was replaced by the sweet taste of the cookie.

"Whew. Thanks Veneer that lemon was really sour.. *hic* *hic*." He covered his mouth as he kept hiccupping.

"Maybe..*hic* if we wait they'll *hic* *hic* go *hic* away." Floyd said 

Velvet, At that moment marched into the kitchen. "Well are they gone yet?"

"Sorry velvet no luck. Floyd's got some pretty stubborn hiccups. But you gotta admit they are adorable."

Floyd looked down blushing. " I really  *hic* want them to*hic* stop."

Velvet frowned she looked so angry. At that moment there was a loud sound  of thunder that came from outside. Velvet went out the window and frowned seeing it was now raining. Thunder boomed again

Veneer yelped clinging to his sister who scowled. He let go. "Sorry,Velvet" He looked to where floyd had been only to fing that floyd was now missing

" floyd? Where'd you go?" He noticed an oven mitt on the counter was shaking.

He peeked in and frowned sympathetically.

"Hey lil guy. It's ok. come on out its ok."

Slowly floyd crawled out ,he was shaking in fear.

The loud thunder  from outside had frightened him

"It's ok lil guy that thunder made me jump too." veneer said as he gently stroked floyd's hair

Floyd hugged veneer's hand, he sighed and....

no hiccups. He gasped

"Hey they're gone. That scare got rid of my hiccups."

Velvet sighed. "Finally now we can get our first singing lesson."

End flashback*

"That velvet was so impatient."Viva said shaking her head.

"Yeah. I mean I've been patient with Rhonda when she gets the hiccups." John dory said.

"Wait rhonda gets hiccups?" Clay asked.

John dory nodded. "They never last long usually around 15 minutes."

Floyd resumed his story.

"Well anyways I did hear them try to sing. But well, veneer was right. They're singing was pretty bad. So I did my best to teach them.  Veneer was more accepting to the lessons and was willing to put in the time and the effort to improve but velvet well she was really impatient. She wanted fast results. Often she'd get impatient, storm out of the appartment then hours later she would return demanding to continue her lessons.

One day velvet got angry and yelled that it was taking forever for their voices to improve. I told her that it would take time for her to get the results she wanted. Besides it wasn't like I could give her my singing talent.

Perhaps that was not the best thing to say because the next day I was talking to veneer about how by now you were all grown up and that I was excited to see you again and how I hoped you didn't hate me for being gone for 20 years. Veneer assured me that you would be overjoyed to see me. He then got up and headed out for some doughnuts.

At that moment Velvet came out of the kitchen with a thimble full of a warm liquid.

Flashback*

Velvet smiled a sweet smile and handed floyd the thimble,Floyd looked confused.

"Um... velvet. What Is this?"

"Oh its something I got for you. See I feel bad about how I've been behaving and wanted to do something nice for you. I really do appreciate that you are trying to help me and my brother achieve our dream"

Floyd smiled. "Thanks velvet." He sniffed the drink and smiled "this smells amazing. And a bit familiar." He took a sip of his drink. "Mmm this is good." He began to drink the drink."Mmm. This is good, is there honey in this its delicious. Thank you velvet." He set the thimble down and walked over to the coffee table, which he climbed onto. "Veneer went to get doughnuts. he..." Suddenly Floyd felt very funny. His legs felt weak. His eyelids felt really heavy. He shook his head. "What...what's going on? I feel...." Floyd slumped to the ground he shook his head.

"Velvet what was that drink that you....gave me."

"Chamomile tea." Velvet replied with a smirk. "Just simple Chamomile tea."

Uh oh. Floyd knew what type of tea that was. It was the tea his grandma would drink when she couldn't sleep. Sometimes she'd give it to him and his brothers (except for branch who was too young) to drink when they couldn't sleep. It always worked within minutes.

Floyd yawned and rubbed his eyes. He crawled or at least he tried to but his limbs felt so heavy and his eyelids refused to stay open. He lay down and yawned hugely.

velvet  picked up floyd whose eyelids were sliding shut  but he could feel and hear her walking, was she taking him to the bedroom so he could grab a nap. He yawned again. He was placed on the dresser then velvet opened a drawer and smiled as she took out something. It was a diamond perfume bottle. At that moment Floyd's eyes closed and he fell asleep with the last thing he saw was the perfume bottle and velvet's hand reaching out to him.

Floyd was roused by the sound of a fingernail tapping on a bottle. "Wakey,wakey."

Floyd groaned and shifted in his sleep. He was stil tired and wanted to sleep in just a little longer

"WAKE UP!" Floyd awoke with a start he backed up only to hit a wall with a thump. He looked and gasped seeing a diamond wall. He touched it. It was a diamond wall. He looked around and gasped. He was inside a diamond perfume bottle. What was going on?

Velvet smiled. "Oh good. You are awake."

"Velvet what is going on? Why did you put him in the perfume bottle?" Veneer asked he had just returned and was horrified to see him in the diamond bottle.

"Simple I'm going to take his talent . See he said it wasn't like he could give us his singing talent but see. I've been reading about trolls. And I found a way fir us to improve our voices: by taking his talent. Now I found this diamond perfume bottle it has a high sucking power which means it should be able to suck out some of his talent and give it to us. Floyd was horrified. "no you can't do that."

"Sure i can besides you  plans to stop doing your  solo career we're just putting your singing tallent to use."

"No you can't do this. I need to get back home. you promised....."

"Well I changed my mind little troll. This is the quicker and easier way for us to become famous veneer. Trust me." She picked up the bottle that floyd was inside.

"Time to go to the recording studio." Velvet said

End flashback*

Floyd sighed "And well you know the rest. I did tell you about it on out trip back from mount rageous. Including my attempt to escape which failed." He sighs. 

John dory suddenly stopped rhonda. He sighed. "It's my fault."

"Huh?" Floyd asked confused.

"What happened to you it was my fault. If I hadn't been so obsessed with us being perfect....." John dory gripped the steering wheel.

"No john, we never should have left." clay said.

"John,velvet probably would have ended up getting one of us anyways. Besides if we didn't split up. I probably wouldn't have turned out as a survivalist. We.. poppy and I wouldn't be where we are because if what happened. I'm able to protect my home and the most amazing girlfriend because I learned to survive. Because I had to learn to take care of myself." branch said

Bruce smiled."Hey there's vacay island up ahead." he said pointing to the island.

John dory reached for the hustle button   "Hang on everyone." He said.
