Author's Note:

Sorry for the short chapter. I decided to squeeze one in for today. Tomorrow will be another update.

At first they were happy to see Alpha Aella in front of them but when I stood up and blocked her from their view. Their eyes zipped up to look at me. Their steps faltered a little before they caught themselves and continued their approach.

"Is there a reason why you are crossing Alpha Aella's land?" I asked.

The Alpha cleared his throat and looked up at me. He was about six inches shorter than me. His age seemed about the same as mine.

"We are here to make a proposition for Alpha Aella." His voice started out squeaky before he cleared his throat and finished his sentence.

"A proposition?" I arched an eyebrow as I spread my legs apart and crossed my arms across my chest, aware that Aella's hand was tucked under my arm as I did so.

"Y-yes." He stuttered.

"This is very interesting. Tell me more." I prodded further. I can sense his fear. It was oozing from his pore. I found it a little funny and I couldn't resist poking at him further. He was a sore excuse for an Alpha even Aella had more guts than him.

"Will you stop it?" Aella's voice came from behind me. She pushed me firmly aside. I stumbled a little as she came to stand in my place. "What is it that you want? Hurry up and speak before I decide to kill you."

She spoke almost casually but also impatiently. A smirk appeared on my face as the males now looked at her. She cocked her hips and glowered at them impatiently.

"Well?" She said.

The Alpha clamped his mouth shut before opening it again to speak. "I think this is best if we speak alone."

His eyes flickered to me. I saw the Beta swallowed hard and he moved nervously back. Alone? What was so important that they won't speak of it in front of me?

"What is it? Spit it out." I growled out, this time I grew impatient.

Aella stiffened a little as I spoke before she turned to look at me with a glare that could split through a tree if she tried hard enough.

"Back off, General."

"G-general?" The Alpha stuttered again.

I rolled my eyes and pinched the bridge of my nose. These two will quickly make me lose my patience. I can't stand people who don't get to the point. I wanted to rip their throats out.

"I am quickly losing my patience, now tell me, what is it that brought you and your Beta here?" I asked.

"We are here to ask Alpha Aella for permission to mate her. Combine our packs." The Alpha spoke finally and I think I just saw red. This male had a death wish. I wanted to kill him. My hand shot out to grab him around his throat.

"You think you are worthy enough for someone like her?" I growled out.

I could see Aella looking at me curiously before she snapped out of it and slapped my arm. "Let them go, you idiot."

I dropped the male by opening up my hand. He fell to the ground completely before standing up.

I turned to her. "He's the idiot. I think I should kick his wolf ass back to where he came from."

Alpha Aella inhaled deeply before exhaling. Her eyes closed for a moment. When she opened them she was looking at me. How can someone make something like that look absolutely stunning, I have no clue.

"This is my pack, General. Don't forget your place." She growled out. I smirked and then turned back to the Alpha and Beta.

"Well then, whirlwind, what should we do with these two?"I asked.

She huffed before speaking. "There will be no mating. I refuse your proposition; you can go back to which ever den you crawled out of."

"B-but-"The Alpha started.

I cleared my throat and arched an eyebrow when they looked at me. I waved my hand in a motion that told them to get moving. The Beta didn't need me to tell him twice. He turned around started back toward the way they came from. Once they were out of view I turned to look at Aella.

"Do you always get these bums coming onto your land like this?"I asked.

"All the time, you included." She muttered as she rubbed her forehead. I grinned at her response. "Can you let me go now? How long are you going to keep me in handcuffs?"

"Well, it depends; do you still want to tear at my throat?" I asked.

She hesitated.

"Nope. You will remain in handcuffs until I find you are no longer a threat." I replied.

She yanked on the handcuffs hard which caused my hand to fly out between us. Her eyes were flashing with anger and discontent. Her plump pink lips were slightly pouty. She was not happy but I found it was adorable. I could just pinch her cheeks but I could probably get my balls chopped off so I will refrain.

"Aella, stop yanking on the handcuffs." I scolded her gently. "If you be nice, I'll give you a cookie for later."

"I'm going to kill you." She lunged at me. Her fist landed on my cheek hard. It was a pretty good blow but it wasn't painful. I dealt with pain and this kind of pain was nothing compared to what I have been feeling for years.

"You are going to regret that." I said lowly as I placed a hand behind her head and brought her face up towards mine.

Her hands pushed against my chest hard as my lips came crushing down on hers firmly. I brought her lower lips in between mine and it was heaven. Nothing ever tasted sweeter. I was instantly addicted. My eyes flickered close. She hit me on my chest a couple of times before her hands stopped and I felt her hands fisted my shirt as she kissed me back.

That turned me on even more. Jesus, what was she doing to me?

I was just about to deepen the kiss when her teeth bit down on my lower lip. I let out a noise as I pulled back. Immediately, my hand came up to touch my lip. The faint taste of blood lingered.

"Why did you do that for?" I asked.

"Don't you ever kiss me again." She angrily spoke. Tears welled up in her eyes and I instantly felt bad. Guilt ate away at me and I moved towards her. She took a step back and put a hand up.

"Aella." I started.

"No, just stop." She said hoarsely. "Please. I am tired and I want to rest."

I didn't speak. I nodded and we went back towards the pack house in silence. I took brief glances at her and I will see her sniffle and wipe away at the tears that dared slipped. When we neared closer to the clearing, I stopped. She turned to look at me.

"Cry all you want, Aella. Then wipe your tears before we go back." I said. She understood what I meant. An Alpha should not show vulnerability. She nodded and turned her back to me as she looked at the trees behind us. I stood there watching her.

My mouth opened and then closes each time I wanted to apologize. What if she doesn't accept my apology? Even if she didn't, I should still apologize. I felt bad. I didn't realize how far I over stepped but she was so damn beautiful. It was distracting.

When she was done we headed back inside and up the stairs to her bedroom. Some food was placed in our room already. She was silent through the whole thing and I found I didn't like it. I don't like it when she was silent. I wanted her fiery and angry. I wanted her to respond. I needed her to be okay.

So I did the one thing I knew was a risk.

I unlocked the handcuffs. She looked up at me in surprise.

"Go take a shower. After, we can eat." I said.

She nodded and headed into the bathroom. I heard her silently sobbing and it broke my heart. I hated myself. I never force females to be intimate. I don't know what made me want to kiss her. I went into the guest room next door and showered quickly too. When I came back into her room she was still not out yet but the shower was off.

After she was done she came out and avoided my gaze as she walked over to the sofa and sat down to eat her plate of food. I continued to look at her and I could see how upset she was.

"Aella." I broke the silence.

She glanced up at me with her beautiful brown eyes.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kissed you. I promise not to kiss you ever again." I said. "You can trust me."

She nodded and picked at her food. After we were done, I placed the handcuffs back on her hand and mine before we both slipped back into bed. She turned her back to me. Her handcuffed arm was over her waist. I stared at her back. I silently begged her to look at me but she didn't. I waited until her breathing was normal before I fell asleep next to her.
