Alexandria

  My name was now Alexandria. It was no longer Violet Walkers. Violet Walkers was the name of the girl who went to school and was lonely. I was now Alexandria Sparrow, a sorcerer, learning from the two sorcerers that saved the world. Or was it three? Kathryn/Raven and Valkyrie Cain were just chatting together like they were old friends, but it was sort of obvious that Valkyrie was very tensed up throughout. Why she was I have no idea. But I had overheard Skulduggery talking to Valkyrie about calling 'Tanith' to come help train them. I'm just like, uh what?

"Hey Sparrow! You want a girl's night off? I'm bringing Raven to go shopping for some new armored clothes, because when you're living in this madness, there is without a doubt that you'll get hurt. You comin'?" Valkyrie's voice rang out in my daydream. Without a time to think, I just agreed.

"Kay then, lets go!" I answered.

Skulduggery sighed. "What is it with women? Why do you need to buy clothes? Just stick with one style and wear it forever. One tip: you can never go wrong with a suit and a hat."

Valkyrie grinned. "Don't need to know the mastermind behind feminine beauty, Skulduggery. Why don't you go shopping with Fletcher then?"

Before I could ask who Fletcher was, a good looking guy with a goofy smile and crazy hair just appeared out of no where. "Ready to go girls?" he grinned and without waiting for a response, he held on to Valkyrie, who held on to Raven, who held on to me, and then suddenly we were in a clothes shop. Except it wasn't exactly a clothes shop. There were rows and rows of swords and knives and gauntlets and whatnot. 

"Welcome to the second best place to buy stuff." Fletcher said, "The best place is currently unavailable because the owner is sadly dead, and don't talk about it near Bones okay new girl? Coz Bespoke was his best friend if he had any friends."

Valkyrie glared at him as he disappeared again. "That's my ex-boyfriend. Fletcher Renn, the only Teleporter alive. Good looking with absolutely ridiculous hair." she sighed again, "just go around, get what you want. I saved the world so many times that they don't care if I pay or not."

Kathryn squealed in delight, like a kid at Christmas. As she went off, I casually strolled through the clothes shop. Some people gave me strange looks, which I thought was fitting because I just appeared out of no where with Valkyrie Cain, but others just ignored me. I chose a pale green jacket, a dark blue shirt, and a pair of deep blue pants with a blue coat. I walked along, about to reach the cashier when a sword caught my eye. It was actually a twin sword set, with thin blades and a black hold. It was beautiful.

"Enchanting, isn't it?" a voice near me caught me unaware. A pretty blond woman in a waistcoat looked down to me. "I have always been a fan of swords, and I'm in love with mine. That pair is one good piece of work. I'm Tanith Low. You might have heard of me as Valkyrie's trainer."

So that was her. Tanith. Their trainer. I didn't even know how to respond. "Uh, hi. I'm Alexandria Sparrow, daughter of Nefarian Serpine." Tanith's look of disgust was obvious as I said the last phrase. Dammit. I shouldn't have said that. Totally forgot that my apparently dad was an evil psychopath. Oops.

"You say you are the child of Nefarian Serpine, and the girl named Alexandria Sparrow who Skulduggery has asked me to train? Skulduggery blasted Serpine to dust. Why would he want you?" Tanith's eyes were wide with confusion. "Oh never mind. I'll buy the set of swords for you. A gift of acquaintance, shall I say. " She walked over to the cashier just as Valkyrie ran over to her.

"Tanith! Yes you arrived! Have you met Alexandria Sparrow? And Raven wants another session because I have a feeling that she just wants to show off to Sparrow. I have to go help Fletcher with this problem which I have no idea what it is and Skulduggery is refusing to help because he's Skulduggery. See you in Roarhaven!" She skipped off happily and took out her phone. Raven gave Valkyrie a weird look.

"Why on earth is Val so hyper today? The Valkyrie Cain I know is a grouch and scowls at people, and she is normally not that humorous in public places." Tanith wrinkled her nose in disgust. "She's weird when she's hyper."

"Do you think she and Fletcher... you know... got back together?" Raven asked. "It'd be sorta sweet if they did. But then with everything and Stephanie, I don't even know if it's possible..."

Ok. Now I was super confused. "Who is Stephanie? Isn't Stephanie Valkyrie's given name?" I asked, trying not to sound so dumb. "I thought they're the same person!"

"They are." Tanith replied. "But there was this confusing 3 days where there were 3 Valkyrie/Stephanie/Darquesse walking around Ireland. I personally do not know anything about it because I was being possessed and have no memory of what happened. Stephanie is Val's reflection, who evolved into a real person. Darquesse is like a ghost, but Cassandra Pharos, this super powerful Psychic, or Sensitive, calls her an untethered entity. They're a bit like clones, except Darquesse is evil."

"Let's stop this chit chat and go. I can't wait to show you the world of magic."
