A/N: Just realized that I have been typing N/A for the past few chapter, which was pretty stupid. And sam_2288 has been telling me that my chapters are way too short since they are only 1500 words long. Gonna keep these notes hopefully short. My character build-ups are pretty horrible so next chapter is a sort of filler chapter.

-_____-. Look a whale! Never mind. Jasper and Raven are back. 

Raven 

Okay, I am freaking out once more. 

Because Storm AND Ash aren't back yet and it's been a day. 

The only comfort I have is sparring with Jasper, hand-to-hand combat or energy-throwing versus Necromancy shadows. And also Jasper is the only one that understands the panic I am feeling. He grew up with Storm and Ash, ever since they were 6, and they even lived together for goodness sake. I had grown up with Sparrow longer than them and she's been my best friend for years. And I couldn't live a normal life without her. 

The whole gang, minus Tanith and Ghastly, had taken up the habit of wearing all black since Ash was kidnapped, and I had to narrowly dodge a well-aimed energy blast from Jasper that brought me back to reality. A flung a stream of shadows back at him, and he did a back-flip and grinned cheekily. 

I smiled back "GINGER NINJA!" I yelled at him, and he glared at me. 

"BLONDIE!"

"TOMATO!" 

"BIRDIE!" 

"TREE!" 

"FREAK!" 

We continued to bicker until Fletcher walked in with an incredibly pale Tanith teleported in. I gasped. 

"Where's Storm?" I demanded, "and Torrent? Aren't they supposed to return?" 

Tanith sighed, "that's what we were meant to believe, but Olive is a tricky one. She's asking for an audience at 1500 hours sharp, at the place where we dropped off Storm and Ash. I'm guessing that this Sanctuary is actually an underground Resistance Base that Olive resides in." 

"But where is Torrent?" Jasper asked.  

"Val thinks he's probably unharmed. Olive needs them for something, that's a definite." Fletcher said, "but I can't really tell you 100%, and neither can Creyfon, and we are not losing our only teleporter that is actually on Olive's side. So basically we have no idea." 

Tanith shrugged ."Sorry kids. But we'll have to go to that meeting and find out. 

~~~~le time-lapse~~~~ 

We stood where Olive's message lay, and in a few seconds, Olive, in all her disgusting glory, shimmered into our dimension. "Hello sweeties!" she smiled, "I see you are all happy to see me, but annoyed that a certain Mr Ash and Miss Storm is missing, am I correct?" 

I tried to keep my optimistic self. "Sure, Miss Springs! Where are they?" 

She smiled. "On a little mission. I will be needing Mr Willows and Miss Moonglass to come with me, and any others who wish to help our cause to defeat my dear Father. Miss Low, maybe? Or Detective Cain? Mr Bespoke? Mr Renn?" 

Valkyrie looked at her with a scowl, her dark eyes glaring. "No thank you Davina." 

Skulduggery followed in suit."No thank you, Marr. I've had enough of you for 400 years. I will follow my partner." 

Olive's cheerful expression disappeared slightly. "I never asked you, Pleasant." her sneer turned back into a grin. "Anyone else?" 

"I'll go. Raven and Jasper will come as well." Tanith's voice rung out. "Now where are is Storm, Ash and Sparrow?" 

"Storm, Ash and Sparrow are on a spy mission. Chrysanthemum is exploring the castle for weaknesses as a guidance servant. Alexandria is a messenger who is learning Mevolent's secrets while Torrent is trying to start a rebellion with the constructors with Damien Ivory. They will be fine, and my father suspects not a thing. I would like you two to train with my fighters, and for Tanith to train my fighters. Then we would have a mix of two dimension strategies. Are we in agreement?" 

I tapped a finger on my thigh. "Can we have a moment please?"

 We walked into a separate room and Skulduggery started to carve sigils onto the walls. China groaned."Skulduggery, let me do it." China complained, and finished off Skulduggery's sigil in a few seconds and moved on. 

"What will it do? Shoot lasers at people who wanna enter?" Jasper asked. 

China's ice blue eyes glared at him. Oh gods she was so beautiful. Wait. Snap out of it Raven this is not the time of cooing over China. She is the reason my life is so messed up. "It shields people and things from looking or hearing in. So Davina cannot see." 

"Can we just call her Olive? I know she is both Davina Marr and Olive Springs but please let's just stick with the name that is alive? Because all these facts are gonna bring my brain to the moon soon."I giggled under my hand. Jasper could be sooo cute and confused sometimes. 

"I agree, my brain would reach Mars. I agree to Olive's terms and I'll do whatever she needs me to do. For Sparrow. Also, Olive looks a bit desperate to defeat her father. Maybe she's been pressurized into doing things that she doesn't want to do? Maybe she's been made to execute her own Resistance members?" 

Tanith nodded thoughtfully. "That's a good thought. It seems like Olive's world has gone upside down." Right on cue she jumped onto the ceiling and stood there. "That gives us more chance to help defeat Mevolent. And there's also the thing about how to kill him. Like, he can cheat death!" 

"I threw a horse at him..." Valkyrie started. 

Jasper gasped, "You what?" 

"I threw a horse at him and he's still alive. He ripped my head off and I'm still alive. Skulduggery got burnt to death and he's still alive, well to a certain extent anyways. Do we do the old fashioned cut-off-his-head thing because he gets stabbed in the chest with spears every day WILLINGLY. He's psycho and he has that magical bath thing." Valkyrie pointed out. "The only way to kill him would be to capture him..." 

"What?" 

"Shut up Jasper! As I was saying, capture him and drain him from the bath's magic so we will be able to kill him, but he said that he was going to become the master of death so I have no idea if that's possible but he'd be willing to try. I have no idea if it'll work. Skulduggery, do you know, since you're technically dead?"

Skulduggery nodded. "I think the cut-off-his-head thing would work, and draining him from the bath's magic would be just time for him to escape. I'd say take him hostage, get information, chop of his head, burn it, scatter his ashes across dimensions, have fun destroying his head-less body, burn it again, scatter his ashes again, and then destroy his palace. This way there's no way for him to be revived, unless you pluck him out from the Great Stream." 

"Is it possible though? When you went to activate the Meriwyn Sigil, you said that the Inquisitor and the Validator could pluck them out and show you ghosts. Well that's what I saw but I don't know what you saw." Fletcher said.

"I wish that Solomon was here. Quiver isn't much use because he's so quiet and such and he's gone so secretive because of the ancient rules bla bla bla. Let's just agree to her terms first. All in agreement?"

I raised my hand, so did Tanith and Jasper. Fletcher rose his hand warily, and the same happened with Skulduggery and China. All eyes turned to Ghastly. "What?" he asked innocently, "I don't think it's a great idea. Raven and Jasper are children, and you know what happened to the children in our war against Mevolent. And with Lord Vile on the loose..."

I interjected. "I'll deal with Lord Vile. I don't think he would be too willing to kill me, since my doppelganger is technically his granddaughter even though he doesn't know it. But we've got another problem. Baron Vengeous. He's a legit bloody zombie now, so do we kill him by cut-his-head-off or what?"

"Set him on fiyaaaa!!!" Jasper yelled and started to throw random streams of energy around the room. 

I grinned."Doesn't work. You're not Elemental Jasper, you're not on fire, you're on energy."

He pouted. "Still!"

Walking past him, I pushed open the door. Olive was waiting there with an expectant grin. 

"Welcome, sweetie, to the Resistance."

The world shimmered, and suddenly, Jasper, Tanith and I were once again in the second dimension.
