The moment Silas Nadir's headless body dropped to the floor, it disappeared. I nearly didn't see the blade that nearly decapitated my head the same way I killed Silas. Behind me was a figure dressed entirely in a black wearing a mask. Like the rest of Mevolent's spies. The figure's blade was short, but it was deadly sharp.

It swung again and I dodged, grabbing it's sword arm and dragging her all the way to the docks. I defended her knife with one sword and attacked with the other one. The spy was good. It flipped over me and I stuck a sword up. She dodged it and we continued to fight. She was a series of swirls and dodges and I could never strike a blow. But she could never hit me either.

The figure nearly knocked me off my feet, but I dodged it and punched her hard in the gut. The figure flew backwards and I ripped off her mask. I gasped.

It was... it was....

It was Raven.

It actually made sense. What if Mellony had never betrayed her brother, Mevolent, Raven grew up loyal to Mevolent? She would have been a spy.

Raven-2 took this as an advantage and started to attack again. Her strokes were endless and lightning fast.

But not as fast as me.

Willing the world to move slowly I started my onslaught. She couldn't dodge in time, she couldn't even see my strikes. I was that fast. Not willing to see the headless body of my best friend, I plunged my sword into her forehead. She dropped dead.

Speeding towards where I left Raven (1 of course), I ran and ran until I stopped at a halt in front of her. She looked at me in surprise.

"What the hell Sparrow? Where did you go? How did you run so fast?" Raven asked. "I knew you could run fast, but not that bloody fast! Since when could you run like that? Why did you go?"

I panted and raised a hand to stop her. "I went to the docks. I ran at normal speed, you just didn't notice me so it seemed fast. Silas-2 had brought another spy over and she super-speed-ed us to the docks. I killed her, sword through her skull. It was you."

"Me?"

"Maybe Mellony had never betrayed Mevolent. Then you would have grown up under Mevolent's rule, which would mean you were completely loyal to him. He would trust you most and after Chrysanthemum killed Silas-1, so he would make you go to investigate it, being one of his most trusted agents. Since Lord Vile is Skulduggery and Baron is a zombie and Nefarian Serpine is a traitor, I guess you'd be his next choice." I explained.

"Wow. Okay then. Where's Skulduggery?"she blubbered.

I took out my phone and used the Find Friends tool. Hey, you can't go wrong with Apple! Valkyrie's Icon was hopping around the place, while Skulduggery's had a notification next to it. I'm done. No Silas in the perimeter. Any luck with you? I opened the group message chat.

ValkyrieCain: i dont see anything.

Fletcher-Renn is typing...

I started to type when Fletcher's message popped up.

Fletcher-Renn: nothing. i teleported to all da blocks but I dont see him. where' Skulduggery's update?

The_Skeleton_Detective: I'm done. No Silas in the perimeter. Any luck with you?

ChryStorm: Clear. Silas isnt in the area anymore. I cant pick up any frequencies.

Lexi-Sparrow: Found him. Nadir-2 is dead. Eliminated Raven-2 spy. Where's Tanith and Ghastly?

The_Skeleton_Detective: Ghastly said he had to meet up with someone and left after we scouted the whole place.

ChyrStorm: Tanith just took off. She walked up the frickin' wall and then blocked the door with her withstand thingy.

MG.Raven: Ooo la la Ghanith is on a date. Must've been the Fletcherie in the air.

Fletcher-Renn: SHUT UP

Lexi-Sparrow: Fletcher can you pick us up? We're at 13th Avenue.

I looked up from my phone to see the entire group settled in front of us. Well, except for Tanith and Ghastly. My phone started to beep, so I check my phone.

Swordlady: We found the guy. Looks like Creyfon has a doppelganger as well.

Scars: Ya. We might need a DMU investigation on this guy. On both Creyfons. We're dead if Mevolent had 4 shunters.

Swordlady: btw i think we need more ppl putting tabs on this dude. dont want to mess up, do we?

The_Skeleton_Detective: sure. i think China has cleavers to spare.

I sighed. When will our work ever be over?
