Chapter 2: Family Reunion

Gaol's POV

I have worn this dark armor for five years. For less than a year, I was cursed, then Magnus and the angel freed me, and three years more I spent controlling my powers. Now I fight alongside Magnus as a mercenary again. We have new weapons now. Magnus' sword got transformed into a Club, and I got a Blade that matched my armor. But those two girls changed everything.
---------------------------------------------
Molly's POV

My father and I were separated thirteen years ago. Since then, I've considered Nene my only family. We're not really related, but she is like a little sister to me. One night, our fates changed forever.

"Sis, you've gotta believe me, there was a talking deer in my dream last night!" Her blue eyes begged me to believe her.

"I believe you, Nene. But the fact that it led you to a temple has me confused. Anyway, goodnight." I quickly drifted off to sleep.
---------------------------------------------
I was in a cave, and a strange mark was on the wall. In front of me was a bear. A she-bear, that is. I turned to leave, but then she spoke.

"I know why you are here." I turned around to see her on all fours, her black eyes staring into my hazel ones.

"You're not gonna attack me?"

"No," she responded. "I'm merely a messenger for the Lost Goddess. Call me Ursa. The deer your sister saw was my own sister Huntress. Come. I'll take you to them." She walked past me and out of the cave. I followed and saw a temple with a coliseum and a massive statue in the middle. The statue depicted a goddess with long braided hair and a cloak. She had a bow in her hand and was nocking an arrow. I saw the deer who Ursa called Huntress, and my sister Nene, enter the coliseum. We entered as well, then were led to the statue altar.

"So, you have come," a calm voice said. The two messengers bowed as a young silver-haired woman, looking the same as the statue, appeared. She carried her bow and had a quiver on her back.

"Lady Artemis," Ursa and Huntress greeted the Goddess.

"So you're the Lost Goddess?" I asked.

"Yes, young one. You two shall carry my power and bring me back to Angel Land. I bestow upon you my four best weapons other than my Bow. Put your hand into the altar pool one at a time. You will go first, Molly. Place both of your hands in."

"Okay." I walked up and submerged my arms into the water up to my elbows. It glowed, and my arms came out with thick violet and blue vambraces. Two half spheres, one black and one white, flew out and hovered over my shoulders.

"Molly, I give you my Hunter Claws and Eclipse Orbitars," Artemis told me.

"They're beautiful." The weapons shimmered in the light.

"Nene, recieve your weapons." Nene walked up and put her right arm into the pool. It glowed again, and she pulled out a blue weapon that looked like a gun. The end of it had a small white crescent shaped blade. The water on her arm glowed and crawled up her entire right arm. The water then burst to reveal a midnight blue aura covering her skin with white ribbonlike stripes surrounding it. "I give you my Lunar Palm and Night Blade. Use them well, Nene."

"I will," my sister replied.

"Good," Artemis said, smiling gently. "Your training will begin tomorrow night."
---------------------------------------------
We woke up simultaneously.

"What the heck just happened?" I asked. Nene shrugged in confusion. "It was just a dream." Then, I saw the weapons, the Lunar Palm in the form of a blue sphere surrounded by the white ribbons.

"Guess not, Molly."
---------------------------------------------
Magnus' POV

I woke up and sat in my tent. If what Palutena said was true, then the Chaos Kin was back. I knew it was true. But I also had another feeling. A feeling about 13 years ago. The day I lost my daughter. I walked up to Gaol's tent.

"Wake up!" Gaol crawled out of the tent.

"What is it?" she asked groggily.

"I think my daughter is alive."

"What?" She shot up. "But that's impossible. She was killed thirteen years ago, during the Orcos attack."

"But what if she was saved by a mysterious power?" I asked. "I know it's hard to believe, but I know she's still out there. We'll leave at dawn for the town."
---------------------------------------------
I woke up to find two Exo Tanks waiting for us. They both looked like chariots, but with three blades forming a triangle and a green gem at the top. I decided to hop on mine and test the handling. I put my sword in the little crevice in mine, and hopped on. Almost immediately, it became gray and black with wings shaped like my sword but smaller and lighter, and a red pattern like my tattoo detailing each side.

"What the...?" Gaol donned her armor, hopped on hers, and placed her Blade in a small holster in the Exo Tank. This time, it became the same colors as her armor. Three of her Blades appeared in sword formed on the front, and two more formed the wings. We both grinned at each other, then sped towards the city. The controls were a bit tough, but we got to the city in no time. I ran to two nearby girls, one eighteen years old, the other twelve. Almost immediately, I recognized the eighteen-year-old.

"Molly?" The girl looked at me.

"Who are you? How do you know my name?"

"It's me, your father. Don't you remember me?"

"Impossible," she replied. "My father was killed by the Underworld Army thirteen years ago!"

"That's when I lost my daughter." I clutched my necklace, the one she made for me.

Molly's POV

I took one glance at the necklace, and it all came back to me.

"Wait, that necklace! I made it...for...my...father." It just clicked, and I realized. This man was my father.

"You really are alive," we both said. I ran up to him and hugged him.

"It's okay, Molly. We're all together now."
---------------------------------------------
Pit's POV

"So basically, I can rebuild the Great Sacred Treasure using this new power?" I asked.

"Yes, Pitty-pat. And I have something for Dark Pit as well."

"That voice. It can't be."

"But it is!" An astral projection appeared.

"Hades! I see you have your normal head back."

"But how?!"

"You see, pretty Palutena, when I encountered the Chaos Kin in the City of Souls, eating the souls that old Chomper once devoured, I knew I needed to prepare. Now, I give to you the fruits of my thinking a-head!" Silence filled the temple. "No? Fine. Dark Pit, I give to you the Dark Sacred Treasure. It's the Underworld Gatekeeper now equipped with leftover Aurum technology from their invasion five years ago." The Gatekeeper appeared in front of us, now with arms and Tribytes as the turrets on the machine itself. Dark-colored plates, rather thick, were on either end of the core, and compacted thrusters were on the bottom of it.

"So this bucket of bolts is my mech weapon?" Pittoo asked. "Gotta say, Hades, I'm disappointed. Does its fuel come from souls?"

"Actually no, Pitooey. I've converted it to a hybrid of deity power and Aurum tech-generated power."

"Wow, Hades," Viridi replied. "You know a thing or two about power."

"Maybe because at one time, I had tons of it!" Hades laughed. "Well, I'll be getting out of your hair now!" Again, silence. "Man. Tough crowd. Anywho, Hades out!" His astral projection disappeared as he "saluted" us.

"I may never understand that guy," I said.

"We can talk about that later," Palutena interrupted my thoughts. "The Chaos Kin has been located going towards a town."

"That town has many people, so it may be going there to take souls so it can evolve," Viridi added.

"Everyone, board your vehicles," I ordered. "We're moving out." Pittoo and I boarded our Sacred Treasures, and Phosphora hopped onto the Lightning Chariot. We flew out.

"We need to get there fast," Pittoo said. "Engage Jet Mode!" The wings rotated down 90 degrees and back, and the bottom part shifted up to give the weapon a jet-like form.

"Pursuit Mode, engage!" The Great Sacred Treasure ejected its rifle and shifted parts, making the base a jet with a Gatling gun in front. We sped towards the town at an extremely high velocity, and in no time at all, we reached the town. I saw the Chaos Kin blasting it to draw out the people.

"You won't threaten my town, freak," a familiar voice growled. Suddenly, an Exo Tank just missed the Chaos Kin.

"What?!"

"Drat, I missed! Oh, you're here, Angel Face." My eyes widened as I heard Magnus' name for me as he caught up with us in our circle of the town.

"Magnus?! Why are you here?!"

"Same as you three, trying to destroy this soul-eating bug. Gaol is in the town destroying the shadow angels. She could use a good assist."

"Leave it to me," Pittoo replied. The Dark Sacred Treasure flipped its wings back up and went in for landing.

"So, your girlfriend is here as well?" Magnus asked me, grinning. I started to blush madly.

"She's NOT my girlfriend! Now can we please just stop the Chaos Kin?!"

"All right."

"So you came," the Chaos Kin growled. "Terrible mistake, Pit."

"No you don't!" The Great Sacred Treasure transformed back into its first mode and reattached the rifle. The golden arch unfolded and floated behind the weapon. "Heavy Mode engaged!"
---------------------------------------------
Dark Pit's POV

"Sacred Armor equipped!" The black armor formed, this time with my shoulders covered by the Dark Sacred Treasure's wings. I ran into town, shooting all Shadow Angels that crossed my path and helping evacuate the townsfolk (or trying to at least- these people were stubborn). I saw Dark Lord Gaol and two girls- one eighteen, the other twelve. The older girl's blonde hair was in a braid over their shoulder. The other simply had her braid down her back.

"How do you think Dad's doing?" the older girl asked. My eyes widened. This eighteen-year-old is Magnus' daughter?! Well, that explains her skill in combat, I thought.

"He'll be fine, Molly," Gaol replied. "Now you and Nene help me out."

"You should help them, Pittoo," Viridi told me. "There's something big coming." I nodded and summoned the Dark Sacred Treasure in Autopilot Wyvern Mode. The wings expanded and folded back, and claws extended on the ends of them. The thrusters unfolded into legs, and two pieces met on top of the core as a dragon's head formed from the back. It flew off to assist Pit and Phosphora. I managed to equip the Three Sacred Treasures due to me being a copy of Pit manifested by the Mirror of Truth five years ago. I shot a rainbow-colored Arrow of Light, deflecting some shots with the Mirror Shield on my right arm. I ran in, forming two blades from the Arrow of Light in my left hand. Bows can split into dual blades. I slashed through some other shadows, not at all freaked out by their red glaring eyes.

"Dark Pit? What are you doing here?" I turned to see Gaol and Nene looking at me.

"Long time no see, Dark Lord."

"Former Dark Lord, Dark Pit. Just call me Gaol."

"Whatever. Let's just take this freak down!" I yelled. The Three Sacred Treasures became silver and blue, the same colors as my Silver Bow. I charged and slashed at the last of the Shadow Angels alongside Gaol and the girls, then got a good look at their weapons. Molly wielded strange Claws and Orbitars, and Nene had a shifting Blade and a Palm I never saw before. Suddenly, the Blade's edge rotated, and the Palm's aura surrounded it, giving it a form like a crossbow.

"Lunar Bolt, fire!" The aura became a sphere of energy that hit the Chaos Kin.

"Nice!" Molly cheered.

"You little nothing!" the Chaos Kin growled. I flew back into the Dark Sacred Treasure and turned off the autopilot. Suddenly, a dark sphere appeared out of nowhere. The Chaos Kin tried to shoot it, but was barraged by Shootflies!

"But that could only mean--"

"Yes, Pitty-Pat. The Lord of the Underworld is back and better than ever!" Hades appeared again. "Underworld Army reporting for duty, pretty Palutena!"

"Hades, what the heck are you doing?" Viridi asked.

"Don't you see? I hate the Chaos Kin, you hate the Chaos Kin. We have a common enemy! And the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

"Actually, Hades, the enemy of my enemy is a possible ally," Palutena corrected.

"And besides, how many souls are put into each of those soldiers?" I asked.

"I don't know. I just take a bunch and mold them into the soldier's shape. Maybe about 200 each?"

"And how many are in this force?"

"500."

"Do you know that you are practically giving the Chaos Kin 100000 souls' worth of power?!" I yelled.

"Uh... Dang it. I clearly didn't think this through well enough. Pull back! Let the commander handle it."

"All right, Lord Hades. Anything for an old friend." Pandora flew at the Chaos Kin, sword in hand.

"Yes, the Goddess of Calamity should be able to defeat it."

"We need to help her, Pittoo!" Pit called to me as the Great Sacred Treasure was fired upon. "Engaging Mech Armor Mode!" The Great Sacred Treasure dropped more parts and became a humanoid shape.

Pit's POV

"We've got your back, Pit," Magnus said.

"Magnus, bring Gaol and the girls out of the town. I have a plan. Phosphora, Pittoo, and Pandora, follow me." We flew to the outskirts and saw the Exo Tanks speed out behind us, the Chaos Kin in pursuit. I shot down several shadows before landing.

"So you led me away from the soul source. Too bad I grabbed a few." The Chaos Kin absorbed five Scuttlers, devouring their souls also. It started to glow eerily, then flashed as it roared. "BEHOLD MY EVOLUTION! ARCHFIEND FORM!" Its wings became larger and more jagged, and it now had horns curving up and back. Its  spider legs became extra arms, and its mouth now had fangs similar to a vampire's, except way larger. It roared, making us wince. "Now fall!" It threw an dark energy sphere at us, which I countered with a charged shot. I extended the Great Sacred Treasure's energy sword and charged. It deflected it with a shield, then grabbed me with its four arms. It then released me because a blast of lightning hit it.

"Claws off him, Chaos Kin!" Phosphora yelled.

"Thanks," I replied grinning. "I owe you one. Engaging Ultralight Mode!" The legs of Mech Armor Mode detached and reattached at the shoulders. The halo then became golden wings. "Get ready, guys. The real fight is about to begin."
---------------------------------------------
What's up, guys! Guillermo456 here. Sorry. I love cliffhangers, and besides, it was getting a bit long. Questions: 1. What do you think of the puns I made Hades pull? And what do you think of the Chaos Kin's first evolution? Let me know in the comments. Until the next update, Guillermo out! (hops onto a nearby Exo Tank and rides it into the sunset)
