Third Person POV
Saint was awakened by a loud thud inside the room.
He turned to his side and noticed that Perth was no longer lying beside him.
He sat up and noticed Perth on the floor grimacing in pain.
"Perth! Ohmygad, what happened??? Wby didn't you wake me up?"
"I'm okay, I'm okay." Perth said as Saint rushed to him and helped him to get up from the floor. "I was trying to walk to the bathroom without using my wheelchair but my knees gave way. I guess my knees are not yet strong enough to carry my weight."
"Is your physical therapist coming to see you today?" Saint asked.
"Yes, around ten this morning." Perth replied.
Saint assisted him to the bathroom and placed Perth's wheelchair right outside the bathroom door.
"I will prepare breakfast while you're in there," Saint said. "Just holler if you need me."
"I need you right now," Perth said with a naughty smile.
Saint blushed and said, "Your hormones are on overdrive" before hurrying to the kitchen.
Saint took out six scones from the bread box and placed them inside the toaster oven to warm. Then he took six large eggs from the fridge and dropped them into a heated pan and made them into scrambled eggs.
He prepared a cup of sweetened black coffee for Perth. Saint knew ever since he and Perth lived together that Perth never added cream to his coffee.
As for himself, Saint always drank a glass of orange juice at breakfast time. He poured it from a carton into a tall glass.
"Come and have breakfast," Saint invited Perth when he saw him wheeling himself into the dining room.
"Thank you for making breakfast," Perth said. "Oh, would you please pass the creamer?"
Saint raised an eyebrow at Perth. "Since when did you start adding cream to your coffee?"
Perth gave him a sheepish smile. "I'm starting to feel bored with sweetened black coffee."
"I hope you will never get bored of me." Saint remarked with a worried frown.
Perth quickly wheeled himself beside Saint.
"Never, ever, my love," he said before grabbing the back of Saint's neck and planting a kiss full on his lips.
Suddenly they heard a buzz on the front door.
Perth and Saint broke apart.
"Who could that be," Saint said getting up from his chair to peek from the eye-hole of the front door.
"You're early, Tae," Saint remarked upon opening the door to Perth's physical therapist and letting him in.
"I hope Perth doesn't mind," Tae said. "I was already in the area because I had to see another client close by."
"I'm sure he won't mind," Saint replied. "The sooner he finishes his therapy, the better for him. He ended up on the floor this morning when he tried to walk to the bathroom from our bed."
"Oh no, that's unfortunate," Tae said. "I will give him additional knee strengthening exercises today."
"That's a good idea," Saint said.
Perth wheeled himself from the dining room to greet Tae.
"While you're having your therapy, I will go and do some shopping at the supermarket," Saint said. "We are running out of groceries."
"Okay, sweetheart," Perth said. "But hurry back. I get lonely whenever you're not beside me."
Tae started slapping himself on his arm.
"Ow, ow, ow!" Tae said, pretending to slap away some imaginary ants. "These ants are coming over because they can tell how sweet you are, Perth."
Saint grabbed the car key that was hanging from a hook close to the front door and rushed out before Tae could see him blushing.
Saint was easily able to find a spot in the supermarket parking lot because it was still early so there were not too many shoppers yet.
Saint saw a familiar face and figure pulling out a shopping cart from the long line of shopping carts set against the wall of the supermarket.
"Joss!" Saint called out to him.
