The boxing community was shocked to hear of champion Scarlett Parker's decision to relinquish her title two months ago. During Parker's absence, rival Tonya Gruber was critical and vocal about the decision.

"Scarlett has always been a coward," Gruber told Publisher. "After losing to me fight after fight, she finally gets her hands on my belt and has the audacity to relinquish it just a week before my rematch. I don't care what her 'mental state' is, she owed it to me and the fans to put up the belt again."

Gruber was alluding to their boxing rivalry that embroiled most of the past year. It began with Gruber as champion - she was on path to become the longest reigning female champion in boxing history. Then, she collided with Scarlett Parker. Parker was brash, bold, and confident as all get out. Parker was also on a hot streak of her own, recently defeating Maxine Wilder and Sasha Tyler. She was just the fighter that Gruber needed to solidify her reign.

The first match earned a lot of hype due to the fact that they implemented some MMA style rules. The rivalry had been so intense that both women requested looser regulations.

In their first showdown, Gruber put the overly-ambitious Parker to sleep with a chokehold. Parker was too proud to tap out, so the fight lasted until she faded. The fight ended in the third round.

Disappointed by the quick end to the fight, the fans demanded a rematch. The NYA was happy to oblige due to the massive amount of publicity the rivalry had gained for the company. A second fight was scheduled; the two ladies would clash again two months after the first fight.

The second fight seemed to go more towards Parker's favor. The crowd wanted her to win, and her boxing style was much more developed than her opponent's. However, when the actual fight occurred, the results were eerily similar. Parker was too confident and opened herself up too much, ending the fight in a fourth round KO by Gruber.

All hope seemed to be lost in Parker's corner. Parker's coach / manager - Faraday O'Reilly - pulled her from all boxing cards for a three month period.

"When your fighter can't get past a hurdle, it's time to pull her for a bit to assess the problem. We're going to make her better, stronger, faster - and then we're gonna get back after Gruber," Faraday had told Publisher at the time.

Which seemed to be what happened. Parker was not seen in the boxing world for three months. Then, she burst back on the scene, demanding another title shot from Gruber. Confident on their history, Gruber was rumored to agreed to the match on the condition that it be their final meeting (which Gruber denied saying later).

They say third time is a charm, and that was the case for Scarlett Parker. The brawl was a barn burning classic for all boxing fans. The drop down fight went on for all twelve rounds, ending with Parker's controversial KO. Members of Gruber's team claim to have seen Parker jab her thumb into the champion's eye - which is highly illegal - just seconds before the infamous KO. No cameras or officials can prove this claim.

The pair was scheduled to conclude their legacy with a "winner takes all" type of fight. Parker relinquished the title just a week before the scheduled bout.

However, the fighting may continue, just outside of the ring. Yesterday, Gruber was photographed in a volatile confrontation with Parker at the Pine Grove Resort in Switzerland. After her vacation of the title, Parker was laying low on the radar. After posting a picture at the chilly getaway location, Gruber decided to follow Parker there to get her rematch.

The confrontation never got physical, but a plate was thrown by Parker.

Interestingly, Parker was not alone at this winter resort. Several people claimed to see Parker enjoying breakfast with British actor Tom Hiddleston and American actor Mark Ruffalo just minutes before the Gruber incident. People also claim to have seen Parker and Hiddleston chatting over hot cocoa on the balcony the night before. Their interaction is confirmed in a post by Parker that mentions a British actor by the name of Tom who brought her the drink. Could this hint at a budding relationship between the two?

Hiddleston, like Parker, is not at the height of his career. Following a rough breakup with Taylor Swift, this writer would not be surprised if Hiddleston is using Parker as a rebound. Parker herself is at the tail end of her nasty divorce from professional hockey player, Scott Jarosky, that reportedly started her boxing and drinking issues.

Pine Grove has it all - revenge, lust, passion, healing, and celebrity drama. With an inevitable confrontation with Gruber and a budding romance with Hiddleston, Scarlett Parker is definitely the Publisher: Celebrity to Watch for this month.
