At the Space Tree Station, (Y/n), Mordecai, Rigby, Toothpick Sally, Chance Sureshot and Recap Robot are having lunch at the Food Court. Sureshot sips his coffee and sighs. "That's darn fine coffee." Chance said. "It better be. You had like 12 cups." Mordecai said. "Only thing that keeps me steady." He lifts his hand in a straight pose,

and (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby are weirded out. "You don't wanna see him without it." Sally said. "Great lunch, guys. This one's on me. You've been training hard out there. You earned it. Oh waiter!" Chance said. "Food courts do not have waiters." A robot said. Chance chuckles. "Yes. Of course. Go ahead and put all this on the company tab." He said. "Payment is due in full immediately." The robot said. "Uh..." Chance chuckles. "Ow! Okay. Sure. I'll just get the company to reimburse me later. Oh, no... I-I don't have my wallet." He said. "No wallet." The robot puts Chance in a force field, and he screams. "Hey. Come on! Uh, can anyone else cover lunch today so I can get out of this force field?" (Y/n), Mordecai, Rigby, Sally and Recap all decline and he groans.

"Alright. My wallet's gotta be somewhere. Let's see...Last night...I definitely had it at the Space Club 'cause I bought the first round of wings. Then I bought the last round of wings. And then.." He gasps. "What?" (Y/n) asked. "I left my wallet back on Mantis Planet. Can you guys go get it for me?" Chance asked. "I don't know...It sounds like a planet full of mantises..." (Y/n) said. "Oh, it is." Sally said. "They're cool, though! I swear! It'll be super easy! Just in and out! Think of it as one of your training exercises." Chance said. "Ugh. Let's go get his wallet." Sally said.

"Can we drive?" Rigby asked. "Why not?" Sally asked. She, (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby leave the food court. Recap follows them. "Oh, fun! Manti love robots!" Later, in outer space, (Y/n), Mordecai, Rigby, Sally and Recap are heading to Mantis Planet in a space cart. "We're getting close. Are you forgetting something?" Sally asked. "Oh! Correct!" Recap robot gets out a fake beard and puts it on. "Uh, why are you wearing that?" (Y/n) asked. "Oh, this? It is a disguise. I need the manti to believe I'm a human being." Recap Robot said.

"Why? I thought you said they love robots." Rigby said. " They do! In their horror movies! Outside of that, Manti actually find robots extremely repulsive." Recap Robot replied. "So...you coming with us isn't going to be a problem, is it?" Mordecai asked. "I'm quite sure I'll go undetected with this beard. And this baseball cap." Recap Robot puts on a baseball cap that has the words 'I HEART EMOTION' on it. (Y/n), Rigby and Mordecai look at Sally and she grunts. "As long as we respect all their customs, we'll be fine. Take a left here!" The cart lands on Mantis Planet. Recap gets out a clipboard. "Before we disembark, there are a few cultural rules we should..." Recap Robot said. "Cool! Bugs with guns!" Three mantises wearing uniforms and carrying guns run towards the five. "We have been commanded to escort you to the Great Mountain Throne Room. By decree of the king of Mantalantis." A mantis said.

"Woah. The king wants to see us?" Mordecai asked. "What for?" (Y/n) asked. "Are we in trouble or somethin'?" Rigby asked. "Huh? Trou...No! No, no. The king just likes to meet anyone who travels to Mantalantis. Come along, then." (Y/n), Mordecai, Rigby and Sally all head into the mountain. Recap follows them, but is then stopped by the mantis. "You're not a robot, are you? I'm... uh...getting kind of a vibe here." The mantis said. "No, sir. If I were a robot, how could I grow this cool human beard?" Recap Robot asked. ": Hmm...It is a pretty sweet beard. Good coverage, too. Whenever I try it, it's just like...It doesn't really grow on the sides! Of course, it's like a jungle in my thorax, but isn't that always the way?" The mantis asked. "I hear that!" Recap Robot said.

"Mantis King! Mantis King! Mantis King!" Mordecai and Rigby chanted, and (Y/n) rolls her eyes. "Mordecai, Rigby, Sally and Recap encounter the Mantis King, who is making weird noises. "What's he saying?" Rigby asked. They only hear weird nosies. "So...do you, like, have a translator or?..." Mordecai asked. They still only hear weird noises. "Uh.." The trio said. Eventually, the Mantis King spits out what looked like gum before wrapping it in paper and throwing it onto the ground, allowing his pet to eat it. "Pardon my gum-chewing. I just wanted to freshen up before meeting you." He said. "Seriously?" (Y/n) asked. "Well...uh...we're here about a wallet." Rigby said. "Our friend Sureshot said he was partying here last night, thinks he left it behind." Mordecai said. "Sureshot...Yes! Our lost and found box could contain any item lost or found!" Two mantises arrive with a box that says, 'Lost and Found.' "Oh, cool! That's just like what we have at the park!" Mordecai said.

"I guess we're more alike than we think." Rigby said. The Mantis King laughs. "Yes! I suppose we are." The two mantises with the box bought it to them and opened it up, revealing Sureshot's wallet as one of the many things inside it. "There it is!" (Y/n) said. "Sureshot was right. This was easy." Mordecai said. He proceeds to grab it, but the box closes. "Hey! What was that for?" (Y/n) asked. "Before outsiders can access our lost and found, it is our custom for them to join us at the royal feast!" The mantis king said. "Oh! We wouldn't want to go against your 'customs.' Rigby said. "Yeah. We can have a little bite." Mordecai said. "Let the feast begin!" The group later are all gathered in the dining room ready to eat with the mantises. A waiter removes the cover off Rigby's plate, revealing a bunch of bugs.

(Y/n) gags in disgust and flinches back. Goop containing flies is then poured into her cup. "No! You guys! This food!" Rigby said. "We can't eat this!" Mordecai said. "Yeah, no way!" (Y/n) said. "You drink down whatever they feed us until we get that wallet! That's an order! Our host is watching!" Sally said, as the king raises an eyebrow. The trio smile nervously and lift up their glasses as the room cheers. Once they drink it with everyone else, they throw it up. Mordecai looks at his bowl, then drops it nervously and smiles. The king then claps his hands, and offers him another bowl, then winks.

Sally looks at an ant in her hand and hesitates to eat it. Rigby looks down at his bowl nervously, then back at the king, who has just finished his meal, then forces down some of his food and smiles nervously. The king nods in approval, then claps, and Rigby is given more food. (Y/n) looks down at her plate nervously, then uses a fork to grab a bug and force it down, before secretly throwing the rest of the bowl on the floor. Recap Robot pretends to eat some, but they actually end up on his fake bread. The trio look at each other uncomfortably while holding a worm, then force themselves to eat it, and cringe afterwards.

Sally is then given a bug that looks similar to a roll. She looks at the king, who gestures her to eat it. Instead, she gestures to something behind him, and while he turns to look, ducks her arm under the table and feeds it to their dog. "And now frozen bug butts. Enjoy." More bugs are placed in front of the trio. "No more bug food." Rigby said. "If I eat any more I'm going to throw up." (Y/n) said. "Ugh, then don't eat any more." Rigby said, grossed out. "The wallet's right over there. Let's just grab it and go." (Y/n) said, as the trio spot the lost and found box not far off. "Yeah, I can't take much more. I'll go talk to the king." Mordecai gets up and approaches the king as he eats. "Ah, Mordecai." The king said. "Hey, uh, I just wanted to say thanks for dinner— all the bugs and guts and stuff-- but we're in a bit of a hurry. We were wondering..." Mordecai said.

"Ah, yes. Your beloved lost item still waits to be found." The King said. "Right. So if we could just snag it, we'll be out of your hair." Mordecai said. "Nonsense. You absolutely cannot leave here until you've tried our galaxy-renowned dessert. Bring out the vanilla ice cream." The king said. "Vanilla ice cream? Finally something normal." (Y/n) said. But once the plates are served, a baby like creature forms and looks up at (Y/n), making baby noises. She screams, and nearly throws the plate. "(Y/n), (Y/n), no!" Rigby quickly grabs her paws, holding her from throwing the plate. "They're still watching." Rigby glances at the mantises nervously. "Well what I can do? There's no way in hell I'm eating this." She whispers to Rigby. Rigby looks at her worriedly while she looks around, trying to find a way out.

"Ooh, you got the juiciest one. Jealous." A younger male mantis as he approaches her, which gives her an idea. "You know, I'm so full already. Here. You want it?" (Y/n) asked, quickly giving it to him. All of the mantises gasp, and the trio look confused. "Ooh." They said. "Uh... why is everyone looking at me like that?" (Y/n) asked. "For real, what did you do?" Rigby asked. The male mantis starts crying. "Ooh. (Y/n), I-I-I don't know what to say." He said.

"Uh... what is he talking about?" Mordecai asked. "Aah. (Y/n), you sly Earth creature you." The king said as he suddenly grabs her. "What a grand ruse  "Lost your wallet." Ha. Your intention was to propose to my son this whole time." The king said. "What?!" The trio asked in shock. "Wait what?! Is this for real?" (Y/n) asked. "Very real. In manti culture, offering food to another is an instant marriage proposal." Recap Robot said. "What?!" (Y/n) asked, and Rigby face palms while Mordecai looks worried.

"Well, the heart knows what it wants, I guess." (Y/n) said nervously, and Rigby growls slightly, then crosses his arms and looks away. 'Jealous much?' (Y/n) thought. "Not to be too hasty, of course. We still await the prince's decision. We're Manti, not barbarians. "Son, do you consent to this fine young woman's proposal?" The king asked. "I do, Father. I say yes. Kiss me, my love. Kiss me." The prince said, getting closer to (Y/n). Mordecai and Rigby growl slightly, and Sally and Recap Robot notice. "Hey, try to conceal your anger, you two." Sally scolded.

"Aah. Get away!" (Y/n) quickly covers the prince's mouth. "I mean, get a-- wait for me to run to the bathroom real quick. And, uh, I need my friends to come with me." (Y/n) quickly points at them. "Your Earth tradition of using the bathroom in groups is baffling, but I'm not one to judge. Go. Go." The king points forward. "Ha ha. Be back in just one second. Ha ha ha." The group quickly retreat for a private talk. "Return to me soon, sweetie." The prince said.

"What do I do? What do I do?" (Y/n) panicked. "Now I'm going to have to get married and have some mantis babies." (Y/n) said. "Except you won't live to see them, because he will eat you right after you get together." Recap Robot said. "Wait what?!" Mordecai and Rigby asked. "Yes. In mantis culture, it is customary for the groom to eat the bride or vice versa immediately after marriage." Recap Robot said. "That doesn't even make any sense!" (Y/n) shouted. "Look, I don't know everything!" Recap Robot shouted, and storms off. "Ugh! I hate this planet. Let's just get the wallet and get out of here!" (Y/n) shouted. "Hey, settle down. After they've been so generous with us, you really want to run like a coward?" Sally asked,

and (Y/n) shrugs. "Yeah, sure." Sally glares at her. "What?" (Y/n) asked. "Just explain the misunderstanding. They'll get it." Sally said. "Are you sure about that?" Rigby asked. "Yes." Sally said. "Okay..." (Y/n) said. The group is now back at the table. "Ha ha. Yeah. Have a seat." (Y/n) said as she approaches the duo. "So... I'm really sorry about this, but I've got this space mission to accomplish. And, um..." Rigby face palms. "Ugh, (Y/n), this is not explaining the misunderstanding." He said. The prince looks at (Y/n) starry eyed. "I have sort of an "it's complicated" thing still happening back on Earth." (Y/n) said.

"Oh, in mantis culture, they don't have "it's complicated," so he's confused." Recap Robot said. "Yes, I understand that, Recap. I'm just trying to tell him I'm not going to marry him!" (Y/n) shouted, pointing at the prince, and everyone gasps. "I mean..." (Y/n) said. "You're not gonna..." the prince said, starting to tear up. "I mean, it's just—" (Y/n) said. The prince starts sobbing, and the king looks at them angrily. "In mantis culture, when someone makes a prince cry, they..." Recap Robot said. "Execute them!" The king said. "There you go." Recap Robot said. "What happened to not knowing everything?" (Y/n) snapped. The king breathes out some kind of mist on the other mantises, which begin shooting at them. "Aah!" Mordecai yelps. "Get down!" Sally shouted.

"They're trying to kill us. What do we do?" (Y/n) asked. "Why don't you just marry him? What, are you afraid of commitment?" Sally asked. "What?! No! But I AM afraid of being eaten! Plus, I have a boyfriend!" (Y/n) gestures to Rigby, who still looked pissed about the situation. Sally chuckles. "Kidding." Sally winks at her, then grabs a chair and throws it at the mantises, then pushes the table at the rest of them, backing them against the wall. A crack suddenly forms from above, and flying mantises fly in and begin to attack. Sally grabs one by the neck. "I'll hold 'em off. Run!" She shouted. The quartet quickly ran to the exit. "We can't just leave her out there!" Mordecai shouted.

Sally grunts as multiple mantises grab her. "There's too many of 'em!" Rigby shouted. "What do we do?" (Y/n) asked. Recap Robot puts a hand on her. "Leave this to me!" He lets out a war cry as he charges forward. "Normally, I'm actually super-chill. But the king starts spraying that attack pheromone, and it's like, "Whoo. Time to eat someone's face." One of the mantises holding Sally said. Suddenly he gets punched in the face and angrily turns to Recap Robot. "Big mistake, bro." The mantis said, as he let go of Sally. "I eat humans like you for an after-dinner snack." He said, pounding his fist.

The mantis flies up. Recap Robot holds out his hand. "Wait!" He shouted. "You mean humans like me?" Recap Robot asked as he removes his fake bread and hat. The mantis screams. "A robot!" He shouted. He and the other mantises fly away. "Ha ha ha. That's right. Blaah. Blaah." Recap Robot said, waving his arms around, trying to scare the mantises. "Get the wallet!" Recap Robot shouted. Sally quickly runs to the box, opens it, and grabs the wallet. She holds it up. "Got it. Let's go! Get to the cart!" She shouted. The group began to run off.

"There is no escape. Guards, seize them!" The king shouted. "Do we have to seize them? They have a robot, and that's just, like, "Ew." One of them said. The mantis breaths again, putting them in some kind of trance. "Just shoot them!" He shouted. The mantises begin shooting at the five as they run out. "Fire. More. More. Keep shooting!" They begin to aim at the ceiling. It begins to crack. "Wait. Less. Less. Actually, maybe stop altogether." A big boulder falls on them as they fly off in the kart.

Time Skip

The five are now back at the table. "We got your wallet." Rigby said, sliding it over. "What took you? Waiter." Chance said, snapping his fingers. "I am still not a waiter." The robot replied. "Well, whatever you are, payment has arrived." Chance said. "About time. Force field removed." The robot removes the force field. "Finally. Ha. A little respect. Now let me just pay the stupid bill and get out of—" Chance said as he looks through his wallet. "Huh. Okay. New mission. I need you guys to go to my bank on the wasp planet and take out some—" he began, and the group groan as they begin to walk off. "They're super-chill. I swear." Chance said. The force field gets put around him again. "Aw, come on!" He said.
