Video 101

At a college known as "'City College',  Eileen is shown passing all her advanced classes. She is then shown "Video 101". "So for your final project, I thought we'd do something fun - a music video!" The class cheers except for Eileen, who is unsure. "Projects are due at the end of the week. Good luck!" Mr. Murphy said. Everyone leaves, then Eileen walks up to Mr. Murphy's desk.

"Um, Mr. Murphy, what exactly are you looking for in the assignment? I wanna do a good job so I can pass the class." Eileen said. "Don't ask me what I'm looking for, Eileen, ask you what you're looking for, in here. Because making a good film takes more than what you have up here." Mr. Murphy said.

"No way, name me one remake that's better than the original." Mordecai said to (Y/n) later at the coffee shop. "Uh, hello, obviously "Summer Camp Slashdown"? The original was totally shot in some guy's backyard." (Y/n) said. "What? That was a prequel, not a remake." Mordecai said. "Your face is a remake." (Y/n) said. "Ohhh... burned!" Rigby said. "That doesn't even make sense." Mordecai said. Eileen runs up to the gang. "Hey, guys. Refills? Refills?" She asked.

"Eileen, that's the third time you topped us off." Mordecai said. "Yeah, what gives?" Rigby asked. "Are you okay?" (Y/n) asked her worriedly. "Well, there's kind of this favor I wanted to ask you guys. Look, I gotta make a music video for my introductory filmmaking class, which I only took because It's required to graduate. But I don't know the first thing about this kind of stuff. You guys are so creative! Can you help me?" Eileen asked. "Of course! That sounds fun!" (Y/n) said.

"Can we be in it?" Rigby asked. "Sure!" Eileen said. "Aw, yeah, we can help!" Rigby said. "Yeah, we watch tons of music videos. We know all about this stuff." Mordecai said. "Well, super. I'm so glad you guys are up for it. I figured this kind of thing was up in your alley anyway." Eileen said. "Psht!" Mordecai and Rigby said. "You'll be getting an automatic A with us helping you out." (Y/n) said.

"Automatic A!" Mordecai said. The trio start rapping. "Automatic A, gonna blow your class away, automatic A, let the teacher say hey!" They laugh. Later at the park, Eileen puts down the film camera gear and the trio are set up for the music video. "Alright. I may not know much about music videos, but from what I gathered, the coolest ones have dancing in them. And it just so happens I've put together a little routine." Eileen turns on the music. "So follow my lead. Five, six, seven, eight!" Everyone follows along. "Step, step, reach, and up!" Eileen said.

(Y/n) screws up and falls down. "Aw, man!" She said. "No, you're getting it! Keep going!" Eileen said. They kept going, which Eileen applauded to. Next Mordecai made a mistake, then immediately corrects it. Then Eileen gave him a thumbs up. "Okay now, step to your left. Arm, arm, jump!" Rigby messes up. "Left! Left!" Eileen said. "Oh, the other left." Rigby said. "There's only one left, Rigby." (Y/n) said. "I got it! I got it!" They continued dancing. "Wait, you're gonna film here?" Mordecai asked.

Eileen opens up her camera screen. "Yeah, why?" She asked. "The park's just..." Mordecai said. "So boring!" Rigby said. "I like the park! There's a simple charm." Eileen said. "I guess. But wouldn't it be cooler on, I don't know, a mountain top?" Mordecai asked. "A mountain top?" (Y/n) asked, raising an eyebrow. "Or on the back of a moving truck?" Rigby asked. "That's dangerous." (Y/n) said. "Or both at once?" Mordecai asked. "And it's on fire!" Rigby iImitates the sound of a fire. "We'd still do your dance. Just in front of something awesome. Either way it's totally up to you." Mordecai said.

"Yeah, do what you want, Eileen, this is your project." (Y/n) said. "Well..." she replied. Later the group are on top of a mountain. "Woah, you guys were right! What an impressive vista." Eileen said. "Yeah. Good call, guys!" (Y/n) said. "Good call is what I'm all about." Rigby said. "Like that good call you made when you ate that sandwich off a sidewalk?" (Y/n) asked. "Hey, the sidewalk adds flavor." Rigby said. "Alright, places!" Eileen presses the record button on the camera,

throws her cap, plays music and then joins them to dance. "Wait, wait. Stop, stop!" Rigby said, and (Y/n) sighs. "What now?" She asked in slight annoyance. "Woah! Idea. Lightning bolt like, right here! Check it. We keep dancing, but the background keeps changing! Boom! The Arctic, boom! A volcano, boom! Outer space!" Rigby said. "Huh?" (Y/n) asked. "Dude, you just blew my mind!" Mordecai said. "That sounds really complicated." Eileen said. "Agreed, can't we just stick with this?" (Y/n) asked.

"Come on (Y/n), just fix it in post." Rigby said. "Do you even know what that means?" (Y/n) asked. "No, but they say it all the time in those making-up documentaries." Rigby said. (Y/n) face palms. "Rigby, don't use a word if you don't even know what it means, that just makes you look stupid." She said. "You're good at technical stuff, Eileen. It can't be that hard." Mordecai said. "Alright. If you think I can do it, then let's go for it!" Eileen said. "Yeah! Up high, Eileen!" (Y/n) tries to hi-five Eileen but she falls to the ground. Later the group is at the seashore, (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby are seen wearing costumes, playing guitars and dancing to the music while Eileen films the three.

"Cut! Cut!" (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby stopped dancing. "Uhh, what are you guys wearing?" Eileen asked. "I have no idea, they made me wear this." (Y/n) said, and the duo glare at her for a moment. "Costumes! All the coolest music videos have 'em." Rigby said. "Too much? Too much?" Mordecai asked. "Well, yeah! We look insane." (Y/n) said. "Hey, sometimes you gotta go in-sane to out-sane the sane. You know what I'm sane-in'?" Mordecai asked. "No! Look, I think we should just keep it simple. Less is more is the way to go." Eileen said. "She has a point, guys. Mind I remind you this is HER video?" (Y/n) defended.

"Oh come on, (Y/n)! We're just trying to help! Why not go more is more?" Rigby asked. "Won't it look weird with just us in costumes?" (Y/n) asked. "We're way ahead of you." Mordecai said. Later Eileen is also in one. "How do you even dance in this?" She asked. "Anyway you can!" Mordecai said, and (Y/n) sighs and face palms. "Okay. Once more. From the top. Five, six, seven, eight!" Eileen said. Rigby holds a zebra head in a different voice. "Hi, Eileen!" She screams. "Cut! The heck is that?" She asked. "Good question." (Y/n) crosses her arms. "Genuine zebra head!

Don't worry, it's not real." Rigby bangs the zebra head. "Rigby, I don't think we need props." (Y/n) said. Rigby gasps. "Don't listen to her!" He whispers to it, and (Y/n) rolls her eyes. "Look, why don't we just try a couple of takes with props? And if you don't like it, you can just take it out later. No biggie!" Mordecai said. "Though you would be taking out the most awesome part of the video." Rigby said, and (Y/n) slaps him. "Ow!" He glares at her. "I don't know." Eileen said. "Look, Eileen, this is your project. Is this what you want?" (Y/n) asked, and Rigby waves the zebra head, and (Y/n) slaps it out of his paws. "Yes! Well, no. I mean, it's not what I thought. But I guess it's cool." Eileen said.

Rigby puts the zebra head on Eileen and she screams. "Sub! Props to the props!" Eileen and (Y/n) sigh. Later the group dance in different costumes. Then everybody plays their role while shooting their video. Later Eileen is driving home, she sighs as (Y/n) approaches her. Eileen gets out of her car finding out (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby are in her front door. "Surprise!" Mordecai and Rigby said,

and Eileen is startled. "What are you guys doing here?!" She asked. "We're here to help you edit." Mordecai said, and (Y/n) sighs. "Sorry Eileen, I tried to talk them out of it, but they insisted." She said. "But I already have a friend coming by to help me." Eileen said. "Oh, that dude Marcus? We sent him home." Mordecai said. "Yeah, we even gave him a slice of this pizza we brought. It's the good stuff, Poppa Greazeos!" Rigby said. "No need to thank us." Mordecai said. "Look, my project is due tomorrow morning.

I don't have much time." Eileen said. "Exactly! Four people will make you go faster than one" Mordecai said. "We'll crank this Poppy up in no time!" Rigby opens and closes up the pizza box like a mouth and talks in a weird voice. "Come on, Eileen, I'm getting cold, let me in and eat me!" Rigby said. "Alright." Eileen said. "Woooh! Edit! Edit! Edit! Edit! Edit! Edit!" Mordecai and Rigby said. Eileen sits in front of her computer. "Let me just open Edit Max Pro.

I think there's some cool features in here!" She said. "Cool." (Y/n) said. "What's a star wipe?" Rigby asked, and Eileen double-clicks the transition feature. "Woah!" The trio said. "We gotta use that." Mordecai said. "Do we?" (Y/n) asked skeptically. "Yes, (Y/n)." Mordecai said, and she rolls her eyes. "We totally need the star wipe." Rigby said, and Eileen sighs. "Look, let's just get started." She said. They began editing. Mordecai and Rigby point out many different transitions and effects on the computer. Then Eileen decides to go for some sleep. Later on the doorbell rings. CJ is holding two cups of coffee. "Morning!" She said. "CJ? What are you doing here?" Eileen asked. "I wanted to see how the video turned out." She replied. "Oh no! Is it tomorrow today? I still have to finish it!" Eileen shouted.

"No you don't, cause we're done!" Mordecai said. "You are?" (Y/n), Eileen and CJ asked. "It just finished rendering!" Rigby said. "Alright. Get ready to have your minds blown!" Mordecai plays the video clip, and at the end it displays: FIN. "Um..." CJ said. "Well that was a train wreck from start to finish." (Y/n) said. "Yeah, who made this garbage?" Rigby asked. "Dude, we did!" Mordecai said.

"Oh, yeah. I knew we should've used more zebra." Rigby said. "Yeah, 'cause that's the problem." (Y/n) said sarcastically. "This is terrible! I can't turn this in!" Eileen said. "I thought you guys knew everything about music videos." (Y/n) said. "Yeah! Watching them, not making them!" Rigby said. "Point taken." (Y/n) said. "Eileen, I hate to say this, but you're probably gonna fail." Mordecai said. "I— I've never failed a class in my life!" Eileen said.

"Eh, it gets easier after the first few times" Rigby said, and (Y/n) slaps him. "Ow!" Eileen sighs and bangs her head on the table. "Sorry, Eileen." (Y/n) said. "Yeah, sorry we messed this up for you." Rigby said. "Well, there's still an hour left. We can re-edit it?" CJ asked. "Re-editing this isn't gonna make it work. Ugh! Think Eileen, Think!" She has a flashbacks to Mr. Murphy.

"Don't ask me what I'm looking for, Eileen, ask you what you're looking for, in here." "There's only one way I can make this work: Eileen's way!" She sets up the filming gear, then puts on her cap. "Alright, this is what we're gonna do: We're gonna stick to the dance routine like I planned, and we're gonna shoot it all in one take! Without stopping for anything!" Eileen said. "But that's impossible!"

Rigby said. "No, it isn't! I did the math and it's totally possible. Just dance from here." She gestures to her heart, and everybody smiles. "Now, places!" Eileen presses the record button. "Action!" They dance to the music with different effects and backgrounds. Later, the video is being played back on a TV in the coffee shop. "So how'd you do?" Mordecai said. Eileen puts down a paper that shows Eileen got an A from the class. "Automatic A!" She said. "Woaaahh!" Everyone said. "No, A." Eileen said. "A!!!!!!!!!!!!" Everyone said.
