The trio are drinking coffee on the house's steps. "Alright, let's get back to work." (Y/n) said. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! We should go get a coffee first." Rigby said. "What? We just had a coffee." Mordecai said. "Well, now hang on. Hear me out. We'll go to the coffee shop, get another coffee and a jelly donut...!" Rigby said. "No, dude, we gotta stay here and get back to work." (Y/n) said. "No, dude, we gotta stay here and get back to work." Listen to you, (Y/n). I'm gonna start calling you Benson Jr." Rigby said.

Benson overhears Rigby as he turns on a faucet, and turns his head. "Dude, Benson can't stand it when you leave jobs before they're even finished." Mordecai said. "Oh, please." Benson pops his head into view. "What's he gonna do?" Rigby asked. "Dude, stop." (Y/n) said. Rigby waves his hands. "Fire me?" Rigby asked. "It's Benson!" Mordecai said through gritted teeth. "Yeah, I know it's Benson. That's how it works around here. I don't do my work, and he doesn't do a thing about it.

It's a win-win." Rigby said. "No dude, he means...." (Y/n) makes a gesture with her paw to signal that Benson is behind him and Rigby's eyes widen before he turns to look. Benson walks in from behind the staircase to Rigby, angrily. "Actually, it's a lose-lose, CAUSE YOU'RE FIRED!" Benson shouted. "Whoa, Benson! I was just messing around. Sorry about that. I'm just gonna go back to work now, okay?"

He starts running up the stairs. "No, you're not! You're actually fired." Benson points back. "I want you out of here." He said. "I'm sorry, Benson. It won't happen again!" Rigby shouted. "Can't you just give him another chance?" (Y/n) asked. Pops walks in, pulling a wagon with a flower pot. "What's going on here?" He asked. "Benson just fired Rigby." Mordecai said. "Why, what's the matter, Benson?" Pops asked. Benson points at Rigby, agitated. "Well, for one, he never finishes his work." He said. "That's not true. I always finish my work." Rigby said.

~Flashbacks~

First, he's playing video games as a vacuum cleaner runs behind him. Then, he's playing on the spring set as his sack and trash stick lay in the background. And finally, he stands asleep as he holds a running hose.

~Present~

"Okay. So, maybe I don't always finish my work, but, you never tell me how to! How am I supposed to do something I don't even know how to do?!" Rigby asked. Benson face palms. "(Y/n) is the one who's supposed to do that, and I'm sure SHE isn't the problem here. "And If you haven't figured it out even with her help, you're not gonna figure it out anytime soon. I want you outta here!" Benson shouted. "Benson, Benson, calm down. Now I can see why you're distraught,

but perhaps you can grant him one more chance?" Pops asked. "No way. I've already given him too many." Benson said. "But, he does have a point. He's never been properly trained. No offense, (Y/n)." Pops said. "None taken." She replied. "Yeah, I do have a good point! A really good point! Isn't there some kind of training thing or something like Pops is saying that I can do?" Rigby asked. "You mean like another mentorship program with someone else?" Benson asked. "Yeah, another mentorship program. Exactly! That's what I need to get my life back on track." Rigby said.

"Oh, yes, a second mentor. That sounds like a wonderful idea." Pops said. "Oh." Benson turns to Rigby. "So you want a mentorship program with someone else? Well, I'll give you one." Benson said. Shortly later, Benson calls Muscle Man through a walkie-talkie. "Muscle Man, this is Benson. Are you there? Over." Benson said. "Talk to me. Over." He replied. "Muscle Man..." Benson looks off. " ...do you still have that mentoring harness?" He asked. "Uh oh..." (Y/n) said.

Some time later, Skips tightens the mentoring harness onto Muscle Man, then, he plugs Rigby, wearing a straitjacket, into the front plug of the mentoring harness. "Hey, everybody, look!" Muscle Man shakes Rigby. "It's Rig-Baby!" He said. "Quit it!" Rigby slaps Muscle Man's hands off of him. "Alright, Rigby. Here's how this mentorship is going to go down. You have to remain attached to

Muscle man for an entire 8-hour shift so he can show you how to do your job. If at any time you don't think you can handle it..." he points out the ripcord on the front of the straightjacket. " ...you can just pull that ripcord and walk away." Benson said. "Yeah! Walk away right back to livin' in yo mama's basement, where you can quit all you want!" Muscle Man laughs. Benson watches his wristwatch go to 8:59:59 to 9:00, and then it beeps. "The clock is ticking, boys, you better get moving." Benson walks away. "You're gonna be the best employee in the park by the time I'm through with you. Because we're about to work real hard." Muscle Man said. The duo go to a certain part of the park with Muscle man and Rigby about to go to work.

"Alright, time for lesson 1. Lesson 1 is always stay calm." Muscle Man brings Rigby down to the fertilizer. Rigby groans in disgust. "Aren't you gonna close the bag?" Rigby asked. "Save all questions till the end of the lesson." Muscle Man said. "Agh! But it reeks!" Rigby whined. "I don't care if it reeks! Just stay calm and you'll get through it. Unless you wanna quit, cause that's how it sounds right now!" Muscle Man puts a hand on the ripcord. "Wait! No, no! Don't!" Benson,

who is driving the cart, checks on Muscle Man and Rigby's progress. "Is everything alright here?" Benson asked. "He asked you a question, Rig-baby. You answer to your boss when he speaks to you." Muscle Man said. "Fine! Everything's fine!" Rigby said nervously. "If he steps out of line, don't hesitate to pull that thing." Benson said. "You ain't gotta tell me twice. Now pick up that bag of fertilizer, Rig-baby!" Rigby exclaims as Muscle Man picks up another bag. "Just sit back and watch a pro. This guy's better at mentoring than anyone I've ever seen." Benson said.

"I never knew Muscle man was such an expert! Benson, that was so good of you to give Rigby another chance." Pops' reflection is on Benson's sunglasses. "Yep, that's exactly the kind of guy I am." Benson said. "You keep telling yourself that..." (Y/n) said in disbelief with an eye roll, and Benson turns to her. "What was that, (Y/n)?" He asked skeptically. "Uh... nothing." She said quickly. "Lesson 2 is stay cool. If you overheat, you might not finish your job." Muscle Man lifts Rigby up towards the direction of the sun. "Ugh! Come on, man!" Rigby said. "Gotta keep my baby soft skin soft for my lady. But you wouldn't know nothing about that, would you, Rig-baby?"

Muscle Man asked. "Let me down! It's too hot! Let me down!!" Rigby hits Muscle Man on the head with his elbow. "Oh, I'll let you down alright." Muscle Man threatens Rigby by trying to pull the ripcord. "Wait, I'm sorry..." Rigby weakens the grip of Muscle man's arm on the ripcord. "One more of those and you're out of here." Rigby pants. "Benson, what time is it?" He asked. "It's 11:43." He replied.

"Benson, you can't do this to people!" Mordecai shouted. "Yeah, it's cruel!" (Y/n) shouted in agreement. "Both of you better shut up or I'll give you a mentor." Benson said. The duo look at each other worriedly and hope that Rigby gets his job back by the end of the day. Muscle man is teaching Rigby lesson 3. "Rig-baby, repeat lessons 1 and 2." Muscle Man said. "Lesson 1, stay calm. Lesson 2, is be cool." Rigby said. "Stay cool." Muscle Man said, correcting Rigby. "Yeah, stay cool." Rigby said.

"Alright, forget those two lessons." Muscle Man said. "What?!" Rigby asked. "Lesson 3 is the only one that matters. Lesson 3 is never quit. You say it." Muscle Man said. "Never quit." Rigby said. "What?" Muscle Man asked. "Never quit!" Rigby said, slightly louder. "I'm sorry, did you say something, Rig-baby?" Muscle Man asked. "I said never quit!" Rigby shouted. Muscle man turns on an automatic grass trimmer to drown out Rigby's voice so he can talk louder.

"I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Muscle Man said. "Never quit!" Rigby shouted. "You sound like a quiet little quitter!" Muscle Man said. "NEVER QUIT!" Rigby shouted. "I'm gonna yank this chord, just like your mom yanked that pacifier out of your little baby mouth!!" Muscle Man said. "NEVER QUIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!" Rigby shouted. "Well, we'll have to see about that cause we're about to start working real hard." Rigby sighs. First, they throw trash bags into the garbage dumpster with Benson checking up on them again. Secondly, they work under a bathroom cabin with a bunch of dirt in order to fix a drain pipe which squirts Rigby with water.

Lastly, they walk to the exam Rigby is going to take. "Muscle man, I think that was the worst day of my life." Rigby said. "What do you mean "was"? You still haven't taken your exam yet." Muscle Man said. "Are you serious? The day's almost over." Rigby said. "Yeah, well your job's gonna be over if you don't take the exam." Muscle Man said, and Rigby sighs. "The exam is you have to complete one job to prove that you retained all the information from the mentorship program." Muscle Man said. "What's the job?" Rigby asked. "Well, you know how I've been carrying you around all day?

Your job is to carry me to that water fountain right over there. I'm heck of thirsty." Muscle Man leans down towards the ground so Rigby can get ahold of him. "Wait...Wait! No! No! OOOOUGH!" Rigby shouted. Rigby carries Muscle man towards the fountain. Rigby starts to groan in pain. "Forget those two lessons! The only thing that matters is that you never quit! What's the matter Rig-baby, given up already? Huh? I knew you were a quitter from the moment I laid eyes on you!"

Rigby groans in pain. "Just say it, Rig-baby! YOU WANNA QUIT, JUST SAY IT!!" Muscle Man shouted. "Nooooo!" Rigby falls down, finally enraged. "Muscle Man! None of this has to do with mentoring! You're not a mentor! You're just a BIG, FAT, SMELLY, JERK!! AND (Y/N) IS A MUCH BETTER MENTOR THAN YOU'LL EVER BE!" Rigby shouted. "Well, then I guess we're done here." Muscle Man gets back up. "If you don't appreciate what I'm trying to do for you then you don't deserve this job, quitter." Muscle Man said, hurt and angered. "No, don't, I'll get fired!" Muscle man yanks the ripchord and unplugs Rigby. "NOOOOOO!" His legs grab onto Muscle Man. "What are you doing?! Get off my face! It's over!" Muscle Man shouted. "No way! I've gone through too much!" The two workers have a power struggle.

"Get off of me, quitter!" Muscle Man shouted. "No! I'll never quit! I am not a quitter!" Rigby shouted. Muscle Man squeals as he tries to get Rigby off his head and twists like crazy, eventually jumping and fighting with him as Muscle Man tries to get Rigby off of him. Benson, Pops, (Y/n) and Mordecai arrive seeing the incident unfold, with Mordecai and (Y/n) acting concerned whether Muscle Man is gonna die by their crazy power struggle. (Y/n) was more worried about Rigby though. "Here we go, baby. If he lets go of Muscle Man, I get to fire him." Benson said.

"Oh... my..." Pops said, and (Y/n) growled furiously at that. This was going way too far! She wanted to say something to him but knew it was best not too. Muscle Man and Rigby continue their power struggle with MM running around like crazy trying to get Rigby off his face. MM tries to get up but Rigby still grasps Muscle Man's shirt and spins around insanely, eventually biting MM. "Benson, You've gotta stop this! He's gonna kill him!" (Y/n) shouted. "Hm..." he looks at his watch which says 4:59:06. "He's still got a minute to go." He said. "Are you serious?!"

(Y/n) asked angrily. Muscle Man squeals and runs like a horse to get Rigby off and breaks through a fence and the park cafe. Muscle Man bashes into two propane tanks and blasts into the air along with Rigby. He tries to grab onto Muscle Man's pants which is seeming like it is ripping off. They finally land into a lake with Benson, (Y/n), Mordecai, and Pops running towards the scene to watch the two fight underwater. "Rigby!" Mordecai and (Y/n) shouted. The two still struggle underwater. "You gotta call it off, Benson!" Mordecai shouted.

"Well now hold on. He's still got 10 seconds." Benson's watch shows 4:59:51. Rigby is suffocating along with Muscle man. Benson's watch beeps at 5:00. "It's five o'clock! IT'S FIVE O'CLOCK!" (Y/n) shouted. Pops, Mordecai, (Y/n), and Benson are watching the lake with worry. Rigby finally comes out of the water and brings up Muscle Man. "Never quit!" Rigby puts Muscle Man down. "URGGAH!" "Rigby!" (Y/n) said with relief. She quickly ran over for a hug.

His eyes widen and he was taken aback, but hugs her back. "Muscle man, are you alright?" They heard Mordecai ask. The trio look over in worry as they approach him. "Muscle Man?.....Don't you quit on me!" Rigby pounds on Muscle Man's chest. Muscle Man groans then spits water out of his mouth and is conscious again. "Congrats, Rigby. You passed the mentorship program." He said.

"Whoo!" Mordecai and (Y/n) cheered. Pops does the "my hat is off to you" salute with his hat. "Yo, Benson...This one's good to go." Muscle Man said. (Y/n) brings Rigby, who is covered by a towel to keep him warm, a coffee. "Dude, Good job." She said. "Thanks." Rigby said. "Rigby, I'm proud of you. Not only did you last the whole day without quitting, but you applied to what you learned from your mentor to keep your job. Welcome back." Benson said.

"Nice!" Mordecai said. "WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAA!" The trio said. Pops laughs and claps. "Oh, congratulations, Rigby! I knew you could do it." He said. "Thanks, Pops." Benson & Pops walk away while Muscle Man walks towards (Y/n), Mordecai & Rigby. "Not everybody agrees with my mentorship style, I know it's a lot different from (Y/n)'s. It's even received its fairness of criticism throughout the years, but you took it like a man, bro. You worked hard out there today Rig..."

Rigby glares at him, expecting him to call him "Rig-baby". "...by." Muscle Man and Rigby put out their hands and have a handshake and (Y/n) smiles at the scene. "Where are you gonna go, now Muscle man?" Rigby asked. "I don't know. Wherever the wind takes me, I guess. Probably find a place to settle down...And get a burger with a large side of onion rings. See you around, ladies." Muscle Man walks away into the distance. "Well that got really dramatic for no reason." (Y/n) said, and Rigby chuckles before shoving her playfully. "Shut up, (Y/n)." He said, and she laughs. Mordecai chuckles. "Well, you guys wanna go get some food or something?" Rigby asked. "Sure, dude. But you should probably take a shower first. You smell like Muscle Man." Mordecai said.
