Mei turned back into a human

Mei: what do you want?

Tyler: I wanna throw a sick birthday party. An epic one. It's this Friday. If you're there everyone will come.

He gave her a flyer for his birthday party

Mei: a party?

Jia: that's all you want?

Tyler: Look I've done you a favor keeping my mouth shut. All I'm asking for is one back.

Mei: hmmm I'll do it. But it'll cost you one- No. Two hundred bucks.

Tyler: ok

Mei grew a red panda tail

Mei: hold please.

She left to talk with her friends and sister

Miriam: Are you serious? You can't trust him.

Jia: we should think about all this first

Abby: it's a trap!

Priya: This sounds like a boy girl party. Are we allowed to go to a boy girl party?

Mei: Guys! Two hundred bucks will put us over the top! We have to do this. We'll meet at Tyler's I'll do my thing and then we'll all bounce. Easy.

Miriam: what about your mom?

Mei: Forget my mom!

Jia: The chances of all of us getting caught is very high

Mei: it won't happen Jia I promise. I'll be back before she even knows I'm gone.

Jia: i'm trusting you on this

Mei: thanks Jia.

Mei went back to Tyler

Mei: We're in. But you only get the panda for an hour. And we're are not bringing any presents.

Back home Jia and Mei we're ready to go to Tyler's birthday party

Mei: Okay we're heading off to mathletes See you later!

Ming: Wait what about dinner? I made all your favorites.

Mei: Thanks, but Miriam's dad is uh ordering pizza. Save us leftovers?

Jia: we'll come back in an hour

Ming: What if I come with you?

Mei and Jia: what-

Ming: What are you doing? Linear equations? Geometry? I have a double jointed elbow! Look I can make a perfect circle!

Ming made a full circle with her arm

Mei: but it'll be super boring

Jia: yeah it's the same thing every time

Mei: Wouldn't you rather hang with Dad?

Ming: ...Let's get my flashcards.

The three of them leave there house and started walking towards the entrance of the jade palace

Ming: I was mathletes champion just like Jia in grade 8 you know? They called me the 'Uncommon Denominator'

Mei: Jade Palace is on tonight. Can't miss that right?

Jia: it's an important job.

Ming: Now who's the weak link? Priya and Abby seem bright enough but...

Mei: and traffic's a nightmare. I can just take the streetcar you stay and rest.

Jia: you've been working really hard mom you've more then earned it

Ming: Miriam I mean she's a nice girl but maybe she's slowing you both down.

Mei: Mom you really don't have to come.

Ming: Don't be silly. We're already on the way.

Mei and Jia stood in front of their mom stopping her

Mei and Jia: but we don't want you to!

Suddenly Mei and Jias aunts and grandma entered the jade palace. They all said hi to their nieces

Mei: Aunties? What are you doing here?

Ping: The ritual silly.

Jia: oh yeah

Lily: They lost weight.

Chen: No they gained weight!

Helen: they look like there mother.

Chen: they look like there father!

Wu: ladies

The aunts step aside so grandma wu could talk to Mei Jia and Ming

Ming: Mother.

Jia: it's good to see you grandma

Mei: hey grandma

Wu: Poor dear. It must be so difficult keeping that unruly beast at bay. Your whole family is here now Mei. And we will take care of everything. Don't worry Jia we will be here when you get your panda

Jia: thank you Grandma

Everyone goes back inside the house

Ming: What a surprise that you all came so early.

Wu: You need all the help you can get Ming. So Mei you've been managing to keep the panda in?

Mei: yep totally!

Jia: I've helped her at school

Lily: really?

Ming: What's that, Lily?

Lily: Well it's a little hard to believe that Mei could control such a beast. She's just a child. It will be difficult for Jia as well

Ping: It's true. And if Mei's panda is anything like Ming's

The aunts and grandma got a little nervous

Ming: Mei's better than any of us at controlling the panda. She passed every trigger test. Even the kitten box.

Jia: it's all true

They were all impressed

Lily: Oh my goodness! That's unbelievable.

Ming: She just thinks of my love for her and it gives her the strength to stay calm.

Mei: exactly. Anyway thanks for all the gifts but I think I'll go to bed early. Keeping that animal locked up sure takes a lot of energy.

Jia: I'll go to bed to. I had a lot of school work to finish

Ming: ok girls. Go get some rest

Mei and Jia: Night everyone.

Aunts: Good night

Mei and Jia Rush in their room and put pillows under there blankets to make it look like they were sleeping. The sisters were both about to leave when they heard someone walking towards there room so they stood still.
