Chaeyoung's face was twisted, her chapped lips letting out a mocking chuckle. "secrets? you can't pull out what's buried deep inside the earth. You think you can revive the dead?" Chaeyoung's fingertips reached the table's desk as her eyes were buried inside Blaze's spirit.
"Your life is in my hands now, I hope you remember that," Chaeyoung dug her black painted nails on the wooden desk screeching it slowly. Blaze didn't even flinch at the intimidating look she gave, nor her scaring actions. "It's not, yet," Blaze smiled cheekily.
"You cheated," Blaze's eyes glowed red sadistically as her voice spooked Chaeyoung for almost a second. "I don't like cheaters," Blaze glared at the other girl like a viper's eyes gazing on its prey. "Cheating? you got to be kidding me," She chuckled awkwardly snaking her hands to the scattered poker cards.
"You think I won't look through the curtains? I'm not a fool as you portray me. You don't keep your words, Chae this is not fair. Then why should I keep mine?" Blaze brought awful proximity between her and Chaeyoung, their lips were almost brushing, pearls of sweat formed all over Chaeyoung's forehead with trembling pupils.
"What a tragic daughter your father has? oh my, oh my, Chae! I wonder what your father would feel when he comes to know about her daughter stealing his projects. Imagine what would happen when a word goes out about this? You would be all over the news, famous overnight! Daughter selling her soul along with her father's reputation for being high on gambling."
Under the moonlight, all in Chaeyoung's sight was eternal darkness. Her lips parted, how did she know? how did she find it? these types of questions were wrapped around her brain. "two can play a game, Chaeyoung Jade. Only one can win in life and gamble, you reap what you sow," She whispered in Chaeyoung's ears.
"w- what are you i- implying?" her voice stuttered just like her heartbeat skipped. All the pupils who were listening to this conversation were totally paralyzed mentally and psychically. Blaze traced her fingertips on Chaeyoung's chin and harshly pulled her closer, their eyes locking dangerously together. "pretty mouth, ugly lies. You say you want a life with 50-50 chances, but you have already decided which 50 you need. You're no fun," Blaze said low imprinting her nails on Chaeyoung's skin.
"You still don't get it, Chaeyoung?" every word that rolled out from Blaze's tongue churned fear inside Chaeyoung's pit. The outline of her pupils started to thicken, a droplet of sweat slid from her chin and fell on Blaze's tanned skin.
Blaze dragged a card from the set of poker cards and brought it between her and Chaeyoung, twisting the single card and applying pressure onto it slightly, the card managed to double itself. The one card she had in her hand was now two, Blaze downed the card and her eyes were glowing malevolently.
"How can you drive on the edge of a knife with a predicted turn Chae?" Blaze snickered dropping the poker cards on the desk. "You really have the whole class in your hands?" she eyed the whole class in a mocking manner and smiled giving a wink.
"I noticed everything, Chaeyoung. The cards are made up of nanotechnological magnetic particles, aren't they? I sensed something suspicious when you explained the process of shuffling. A total of 52 cards, half of them are magnetized. When the cards were stacked into a pile, a normal card was in between each of two magnetic poker cards. I got the middle ones, the magnetic cards were slipped into Chaeyoung's hand by carefully attracting each magnetic poker card. The shuffler did the job pitch-perfect and that brought me to the conclusion that it was not just you who is involved in cheating. With 26 students on your side and 52 cards made it easier for you."
"I held my cards closer to me, sitting opposite so that it won't be visible in your eyes but you had eyes all over my back and the whole class. You have everyone under your control. The starting where I won was to make me drown inside my own pride and focus on nothing but winning consecutively. Those little tricks don't work on me, Chaeyoung. Your insanity in crushing your opponents by feeding them greed disgusts me. Loyalty and fairness are words that got deleted in your dictionary."
Chaeyoung swallowed a thick lump down her throat, her body stiffened as tears were about to fall from her eyes. "Your father owns the leading industry in magnets, I have read articles about your father's new innovative projects about NanoMagnets." Chaeyoung's heart started to pump abruptly realizing what topic Blaze would bring up next.
"Your mother, she died of cancer right?" Blaze caressed Chaeyoung's red tainted cheeks and gave her a small hug. "A reason why your father was so interested in Nanomagnets, Cancer can be cured with the help of it. Guilty of your mother dying, your father took an oath to not let anyone suffer the same pain he endures. A great man. The manipulation of stem cells can be achieved by the technical advancement of Nanomagnets. Did you use such an important thing for your selfishness? I pity your parents," Blaze's words sent a shiver down Chaeyoung's spine.
All the girl could do was bite her lip and fight back the tears. Blaze backed from her position and tilted her head a little to the left. "And you know what, I don't know how to play Indian rummy," Blaze chortled as Chaeyoung's eyes widened.
"You would have won, Chaeyoung. If it wasn't for your insecurity of losing after my bluffs. Now the game never ended fairly, did it?
