v. trial: deceiving lie

One is gonna win over a triumph, and the other is going to face certain doom. As per Chaeyoung's words, this game is going to be totally neutral. The one to be betrothed by winning is a mystery until the end. Both felt their hearts phase run faster, Chaeyoung was not definitely letting a new transferee make her withdraw from the position as an elite.
She had no intention of losing.
Blaze, on the other hand, was unreadable and had a desolate look. No signal waved from her empty eyes. Chaeyoung felt replenished, maybe Blaze isn't familiar with this game.
As the cards were shuffled in the way it was told, A random girl was chosen to distribute thirteen cards amongst the two. The random girl, each time when she gave out a card to Blaze, her eyes pitied the black-haired girl for some untold reasons. Blaze found it a bit suspicious, was it because Chaeyoung is a prodigious player, or was it for some other reason?
The wild card was heart seven.
"Let's commence our game now, shall we?" Chaeyoung lifted the corner of her lips and arranged the cards in her hand. Blaze nodded and did the same, spreading the thirteen cards like a feather fan. Chaeyoung looked at Blaze's eyes for any response, but they were still void.
what was this girl up to?
Chaeyoung went first. Disappointment flashed in her face for a second as she draws a card from the separate deck just for this purpose, but she shadowed it soon with a smile. Her sudden mood change wasn't spared in the eyes of Blaze. She soon discarded a three-clover from her set.
"Drawing the lowest number, just in the start? It was quite predictable," Blaze remarked drawing a card from the separate deck. Her eyes squinted a smile as she arranged the cards, matching them with the new one, and drew a two diamond.
Five minutes passed just like that, Chaeyoung and Blaze drawing and discarding cards. The others were tempted by fear, oh how they wished for Blaze to win this game and remove Chaeyoung from the privileges. But, they all knew this was a fantasy. There was no space or chance for Blaze to hit her victory, she is just making a fool out of herself.
The buzzer ringed catching the attention of everyone. Blaze kept a straight face while Chaeyoung was gloomy. They both were asked to show their rummy set and Blaze was asked to go first.
two, three, four, diamond.
Everyone gasped at her sequence set. Having that many low numbers mean she has no chance of winning this round. Soon all of them were anticipated for Chaeyoung's sequence set to be revealed and scared that maybe she is gonna wrap this game all around her finger in the start.
"I guess you have been loved by lady luck Blaze, I got no sequence," Chaeyoung sighed clutching onto her cards. Blaze was shocked for a second, but the victory of this round got the best of her. Blaze smirked, confidence started to build upon her heart, and was determined to win the next round.
And just as she wished, the second round was on her bag. Winning games with Chaeyoung seemed like a dream come true but, Blaze is now living the dreamland. Chaeyoung has to be manipulated by some kind of trick or else she must have lost truly and the second option was highly unlikable.
Chaeyoung is having a trick under her sleeves and Blaze is being too blinded by victory to see that.
The third round started, Blaze became more confident thinking she is gonna win over Chaeyoung. Her eyes were preying on victory as every time she discarded and arranged a card on her sequence. A sense of relief clouded over every student present there. Watching the downfall of Chaeyoung was a heavenly bliss to them.
The buzzer for round three-ringed notifying both of them to show their arranged sequence. Blaze was more than happy to have this sequence, the sequence that will determine the certain doom of Chaeyoung and her perfect victory. But, this was too perfect. Was this a blindfold to push Blaze into a dark abyss?
10, jack, queen, heart.
Blaze lifted the corner of her lips and her eyes twinkled innocently. The students were confused, Chaeyoung isn't going to lose just like that. Her head was down, indicating she was ashamed to show her face. Blaze chuckled cracking her head, "was it that easy?"
Chaeyoung's head was still low, this didn't make any sense to anyone except for Blaze who was grinning like a Cheshire cat. Under her breath, everybody heard a sinister laugh from the supposed-to-be-defeated woman. It was never a good day when Chaeyoung's maniac laugh echoes around a room, especially during gambling.
Her eyes shot directly towards Blaze, sending draggers down her heart. Her hands threw her whole set of the card on the desk laughing like a mad-hatter. Goosebumps flickered on everyone's skin and Blaze's smile went down.
King, King, King spade. A royal three sequence.
"You really thought that putting me down was an easy task?" Chaeyoung said low scaring the hell out of Blaze. She gulped a huge lump down her throat and zipped up her lips and that amused Roseanne too much. Way too much.
Round four was near, Blaze's confidence was still in there scattered all over her eyes. Chaeyoung paved a path for her victory slowly, she doesn't want to win over someone with an inhuman amount of difference, all she loves to see was the crippling smile of her opponent. Building someone's hope up and slicing her card through their castle is her drug.
The buzzer ringed, Chaeyoung exhaled heavily showing her sequence out. five, six, seven diamond. Chaeyoung chimed a small chuckle exposing her set. seven, eight, nine heart. "Hats off to your effort darling, but I'm afraid they are going to die as dust," Chaeyoung puffed with a smirk on her face.
Round five, the round where they will choose the winner. Sweat slid through everyone, except Chaeyoung for sure. Her eyes hinted nothing but credence in her victory. Blaze shakily showed her set of sequences on the desk, even though it was a high number she can't help but feel scared at this moment.
A Jack, King, Queen club.
Chaeyoung heartily laughed out throwing her whole sequence and set on the table. Hopes of breaking the chains were crushed when their eyes fixated on her sequence. They knew Chaeyoung is gonna win for sure but, they can't help but feel a bit disappointed.
"Rummy, baby," Roseanne husked down low the lights.
She formed a whole rummy with her 13 cards, each matched perfectly and no wildcards replaced any other. It was a total original rummy set. Chaeyoung twisted her head and crossed her legs. No one can beat her at her own damn game, absolutely no one.
"don't build your hope up high Chaeyoung, I know your dirty secret."
