"Jason" Dru looked at Jason worriedly as they walked the halls In search of the combat hall.

"Dru everything Is gonna turn out fine Vendetta said so" Jason tried reassuring him but Dru couldn't help It seeing his favorite teacher laid out before him was scary and what If Kacey's star power thing wasn't even enough, another unanswered question Was how he even got like that since Mr. Rainn was nonconfrontational. Dru sighed

"Don't you think that was weird?" Dru said to Jason as they turned the hall heading to the stairs. Jason abruptly stopped walking and held his arm out stopping Dru. Dru looked ahead to see that the principal and a nurse were talking.

Jason gave Dru "The look" Signaling him to be quiet.

The Principal handed the nurse a wad of cash

"Don't let him out" He glared at the female nurse who now that the duo thought about looked oddly familiar.

"Mr. Warren I know your opinion on powers and things but I feel like you need to come clean" She looked at him her expression sharpening. The principal looked appalled.

Have you forgotten about your niece?" Her eyes dialed, her hand started to shake, the girl was very fearful and her energy rubbed off on Dru "

What the hell Is going on?" He questioned in his thoughts of course.

"Y-your an evil man" She stuttered beginning to shake. Mr. Warren walked closer to her laughing In her face she snatched the cash out of his hand backing away

Jason looked at Dru and motioned for them to get better hidden.

Jason went back up the stairs where they previously stood activating his enhanced hearing and Dru did the same with his vision. The two uncovered an Interesting fact. The principal was paying off the doctor to come back next week and announce Mr. Rainn's death but why? It didn't make sense.

"What did he find out?" Dru whispered walking back down the stairs as the Doctor and Principal went their separate ways

"I don't know but Mr. Rainn isn't dead so what are they gonna do with him?" Jason questioned. Just the thought of It made Dru's stomach hurl

"You're right...What If they send him away?" Dru was now worried. They entered their second class of the day and shook off all fear and confusion as they stepped Into Combat Hall. The teacher Ms. Rainn was already yelling at the kids As usual

"NO XEON I SAID BRING IT TO YOUR FINGERTIPS" She shouldn't even be there, right? Her husband Is In the hospital" Dru said to Jason as they started stretching and as If a flicker of a light the Intercom came on

"Ms. Rainn please report to the office immediately!"

"While I'm gone use your normal trios and pass the ball!" She yelled before pacing down the hall.

Jason searched for Vendetta and saw her over with Clara and Naomi. Dru and Jackson headed over to the girls

"Hey, Hey! Guys, where have you been?" Naomi was the first to speak. Jason and Dru looked at each other and then back to the girls.

"You two aren't normally late" Vendetta pressed the Issue. It was obvious the boys were trying to think of an excuse

"Well, we got called to the office!" Dru spoke up

"The two of you?" Vendetta looked them up and down

"Seriously make up a better lie Dru I can see but Jason?" Vendetta laughed

"He's wayyyyy too sneaky" Clara added.

"It's true" Jason tried to back up his claim Vendetta rolled her eyes she knew they were lying but she figured she would just mind her business "Alright then you guys wanna just sit down until the sub comes?" Clara asked.

"You all can but IM gonna find a sparing partner the face of evil never sleeps" Vendetta walked away

"You realize there Is no "face of evil" right" Clara teased.

"Well! Well! Guys, what should we talk about?" Naomi sat on the ground happily. Clara joined her "OOO I know!" She said

"Well?" Dru questioned while he and Jason sat down

"We should sneak Into the new girl's class!" Clara suggested.

"Why would we do that.." Dru crossed his arms

"Oh come on aren't you curious to learn more about her?"

"Clara don't tell me you actually wanna be friends with the girl?" Dru laughed

"What! NO" She quickly shot down the Idea her face turning red. "Its research purposes because I want to win the Power Playoffs!"

"Dont lie the only reason you find a slight interest in the Power Playoffs Is so more males can come Into the school" Jason rolled his eyes

"That's so not true!" She huffed.

"My reason for wanting to win the Power Playoffs Is so Powers can be more accepted and hey If I meet a cute boy In the process that's just a plus" She smiled creepily In Jason's view

Jason and Dru laughed.

"You not gonna prank her then?" Dru asked

"The hell I'm not" She smirked evily.

"I think you shouldn't prank her I mean It might run her away!" Naomi added

"You're right...I'll just absolutely crush her In the homeroom duels when Mr. Rainn gets back"

Suddenly the group of 4 got quiet Jason began to think about how to save Mr. Rainn or at least find him but no Ideas came to mind. Naomi plastered a smile on her face. "Ill go over there with Vendetta and Charlotte If we wanna win the Playoffs we gotta train right?"

"Right!" Clara was determined. With that Clara and Naomi began to train with Vendetta and Charlotte then a few minutes later a substitute came rushing In. Mr. Bloom was his name he made everyone run laps till the third period It is safe to say the group of friends didn't like this treatment or him one bit.

Price Pov:

Heal, Heal, Heal. My Mind paced back and forth.

It's weird. Very weird. Small scrapes are always easy to heal but my scar...I can't fix It. I can't fix anything. If not a healer... then.. what? What am I made for? I sighed walking to class alone I have friends

I...I think but It's just school things no one talks to me outside of training It's not like those slice-of-life animes and I can say I am not a loner but to be honest I wish I was because I feel alone but arent most loners In those anime things usually loners by choice? Right. You know what this isn't even worth all this thinking. Combat hall Is finally over which means my favorite period of the day. 4th period or In other words. Chemistry. I can see her breathe by her and feel her. I feel at peace just being by her- My thoughts were interrupted. I fell to the ground after feeling a strong push and a thud. I saw a girl running a girl I'd never seen before "Hey um you dropped-" The girls stopped running and turned around to me "Sorry" She caught herself almost as If she didn't even know where she was off to In the first place.

I sighed.

The girl walked off. Not a name. Not a bye. Nothing. She probably thinks I'm rude like everyone else. See the reason I don't have real friends Is because I'm told I look scary. Seem menacing.

Which Is weird since I AM a healer. Naomi and her friends will talk to me or at least... I hope so. I noticed she walked In front of me the whole minute I paced myself to class It was silent "Weird" I said. She turned around as we arrived outside the chemistry lab "Melissa" She said. "Huh?" I was confused "Oh." My eyebrows suddenly furrowed I made an angry expression unknowingly and Melissa turned back around swiftly she entered the class and so did I.

"Price!" Naomi exclaimed smiling ear to ear. She was currently lying on her friend and In a circle with a bunch of our classmates lord knows what they were talking about and as soon as I entered the atmosphere was ruined all the laughter that was heard outside of the door was abruptly put to an end everyone's faces were uneasy. The mood dropped as soon as I came In.

I looked at Naomi. She knew It was my way of saying hello since I didn't want to scare people with my words, bad breath, or whatever It Is that so easily scares people away from me. She got up out of her position and left our classmates to join me In the corner of the classroom

"Hey! You know I didn't see you In combat hall did they put you In the sports hall?" before I responded she kept talking

"Combat hall was so fun I wish you could've been there training went so fun!"

"It was hilarious Clara kept making chicken noises acting like a child It was nice I love seeing Clara like that ya know?!" She smiled at me. "Oh and another thing next period you have lunch but they" I zoned out listening to Naomi talk I knew she could keep on forever and that's what I liked I don't know how she even got this comfortable but she just came up and talks to me make sure Im not by myself. Naomi's kind and bubbly. She's so carefree It's almost scary but I like that about her because she doesn't let what people think of her defy her she just laughs and lets things roll right off her shoulder. I would do anything to protect someone so pure someone as caring and kind as her someone as energetic I would hate for a unique kind soul like hers to go to

"Price?" She questioned

My eyes widened. I realized I was daydreaming

"You still listening bud?" She smiled rocking her chair back and forth I looked her up and down and built up the courage to talk

"Dangerous," I said.

"H-huh?" Naomi was confused.

I took a deep breath. She looked down and leaped out of her chair "Your right Price!" She exclaimed.

Dangerous..Dangerous?! UGH, PRICE YOU SOUND STUPID. What are you a caveman?!"

"Sorryy I didn't mean it but I pinky swear I wasn't gonna fall trust I do It all the time!" She smiled

"I'm seriously so happy you've only talked to me using yes or no It's kinda funny to hear you talk" She looked down "WAIT BUT..Not in a bad way It's a little different or maybe you just don't talk to me but either way, I'm happy you're sharing words with me now and It's not just me talking your ear off" Naomi smiled again and this time my heart fluttered there weren't butterflies In my stomach there were frogs and they were jumping all around. Naomi suddenly went to the other side of the room and grabbed Melissa she dragged us both to the middle of the circle with her friends "Finally I could talk to people" I thought to myself. Naomi's friends Amy and Chandler asked me about my healing powers. Then the class plays uno and everyone laughs with each other the class period seemed to drift by quicker than ever.
