The Revenge

BONUS POV AT THE END

My eyes slowly opened, as the harsh light peered through dilatating my pupils. A blurry room slowly becoming clear, my mouth was dry desperate for water. I could feel beads of sweat on my forehead, I managed to pull myself up; rubbing a combination of drool and sweat of my face. I stumbled around losing my balance every second step, my mind felt almost numb.

"What the Underworld happened?" Reality was no longer clear, I couldn't tell if it was truth; and what was my own imagination. Shaking my head trying to wake myself up was only giving me a headache, like a drunken man in the streets I clumsily grasped the door handle. Stepping inside what appeared to be a small lavatory, without any thought I splashed icy water into my face; then I looked up. The person staring back at me confirmed last nights' activities. The discomfort of sleeping with buttons imbedding themselves into my skin, finally caught up to my brain. Without hesitation, I removed my shirt, and unbuttoned my pants; I looked at the red lashes spread along my body, showing every little hit the Rebellion took at me.

"At least they're not as bad as the emotional scars." I chuckled to myself, at this point my mind was broken. It had been so much even before the Rebellion even was on my mind, it was easier to laugh at it then let it consume me; especially since I found out what happens if my emotions run wild. The anger was still a flame that burned bright in my heart, but that doesn't mean I had to wear it on my sleeves. The problem with every villain's planes is, they let their emotions, their hatred for the hero take advantage of them. I was not going to make that mistake. The best form of revenge is the one that slowly corrodes its victim, in ways that make their nightmares look like Shangri-La wrapped  in happy fun candy. I walked to my bed, tracing my fingers on the silk like sheets; thinking about how I was going to carry out my next move. I needed to be cunning and quick, trust was something I no longer held; but that doesn't mean others had to know that. I collapsed on the bed, the springs creaked under my mass; I stared out of the one light source of the room. A small window, with navy blue curtains failing at their job; because I was practically bathing in light.

"Wait a minuet." I thought.

"I don't have a window in my room, at the kingdom. Also, I only have a bathroom in my cabin at Camp Half-Blood." Even the bed had changed, unless I shadow traveled in the middle of the night; my father must have transported me back to camp. The thought crept in my mind that neither of those were the correct answer, that maybe my motions were manipulated by my favorite group of scum; I already knew they had gained access to my main form of transportation, probably form Williams help.

"Let them think they control me." I snickered in my head, even if they had no participation in this event.

"Let those rats feel a power, they will never be able to control." I got up walking to my closet, as a smile grew on my face.

"Because in this game they decided to play, they made their move. Now its my turn." I knew none of my old clothes would fit me, they were all designed for a much shorter and scrawnier me. Luckily one thanks to my sister desire to make me look among the living, there were a few wardrobe choices that could fit my new body. Without much thought, I grabbed a dark plum button up shirt, and dark blue skinny jeans; in the back of the closet was a midnight black leather jacket. I put in on, it fit like a glove; then last, I put my belt on with the sword holster attached, I liked to think of it like Batman's utility belt. My first step was like a slap in the face by the January winds, to think it had been almost three weeks since I started my hunt of the Rebellion. It seemed so long ago, I seemed like such a different person back then. This time, I know exactly what I'm going to do; as I left my cabin my feet crushed dried leaves under the thin layer of snow. I was going to grab a bite to eat at the Dinning Pavilion, as I began to walk a few eyes looked my way. Whispers and the wind became one, but I wasn't fazed; they a cry swore through the air, calling my name.

"Nico!" The voice was full of relief, but also muffled be tears. Before I could brace myself, I was on my back as someone hugged me with all of their strength. A mess of brown curly hair was all I needed to see to figure out the identity.

"Hello Hazel, I'm assuming you missed me." I said stroking her hair.

"Oh Nico, after you left we had no idea where you went. We checked at New Rome and you weren't there, then we checked father's kingdoms and you were no where to be found. I thought maybe you were being held hostage or-." She broke down in tears' I lifted her up, but she was still relying on me for support. I wrapped my arms around her, resting my head on top of hers; assuring her everything was going to be okay.

"Don't worry Hazel, I'm okay." I nurtured her, her tears fuller of joy then sadness now. Her wool scarf entangled with the Velcro of her winter jacket, she felt like ice. I didn't realize what I had been through, and she was never going to know.

"Hey how about we get some food." Her ebony eyes looking at me, with pearls of tears in her eyes. She wiped them away, and hugged me once more.

"Okay." She said, we walked down and sat at the Hades table. I got her a cup of peppermint hot chocolate and an omelet; I just had a bagel.

"Hey Nico?" I looked up at Hazel.

"Where were you anyways, I swear to gods we searched every where." I didn't really know how to answer that question without reveling anything.

"We?" If that isn't a good diversion to bring this conversation of the rails, then i don't know what is.

"Me, Frank, Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Reyna, and William." She looked at me so pure, but I never wanted her to say that name ever again. If it were up to me I would rap my little sister in bubble rap, and put her in a cave; so, the Rebellion little own William, could never get to her. I smiled on the outside, but my plans for William was turning in my head like gears.

"Oh, my gods, William! I should tell him your home he was worried sick, ever since you ran away he has been looking for you." The amount of sarcasm inside me was burning a hole in my throat, if only she knew what William was actually doing to me; how he was basically torturing me on a mental level.

"Don't worry Haz, ill see William after I eat. Trust me, I really want to see him." The acid bubbling inside me dripped out with the last couple words, but at this point I was basically a pro at being pissed off; and now I knew how to carry myself. After twenty more minuets of talking (mostly Hazel saying I looked good in the cloths she got for me) I went off to go see my new enemy. Swinging by my cabin to grab my trusty sword, which looked especially sharp today; the infirmary didn't look like much was going on inside a single candle illuminated the inside.

"Great." I thought.

"More candles." I pushed open the door to the infirmary, cold air rushed behind me. There we a couple demigods asleep, and one of Williams siblings organizing bandages. She looked up at me with uncertainty, but she didn't speck. A noise clattered across the room, then I saw him. He was wearing a large orange hoodie with the Camp Half-Blood logo, grey sweat pants, and moccasins. He was dressed for comfort and warmth, but I had to admit he looked kind of cute; looking at William didn't affect me the same way, I didn't feel compassion William looked like a piece of meat. I slithered towards him, like a shark stalking a swimmer; he didn't seem to realize I was there. I leaned on a wall a few centimeters from my prey, my hand reached out, my middle and index finger sticking out; like a freezing needle on his neck I placed my fingers on the first vertebrae of his neck. I could feel him shiver, I ran my fingers slowly down his spine all the way to his tail bone.

"Did you miss me." I smiled, William stood up strait; he slowly turned his head like he was afraid to see if it was actually me.

"N-Nico?" He stammered, his hands were shaking. His face looked so different from when I saw him in the main hall of the Rebellion, he looked so afraid. Instead of speaking back I jumped in his arms, causing him to fall on the nearest bunk. I smiled and laughed, when William was on his back I pulled myself up; kneeling on his groin looking down at him. His hair was in his face, his breathing became heavy.

"Let me guess, you thought you were never going to see me again." A pouty puppy dog look spread across my face, William still looked in shock. I leaned my body closer to his, to the point where I was almost laying on top of him. I traced the side of his face with the scared hand, he closed his eyes; and his breathing was less internes. Those who were in the infirmary was staring at me, like I was a different species, slowly crushing the boy underneath me.

"Nico, I thought you were dead." His tone was so familiar, the complete opposite of the man who told me his allegiance belonged to the Rebellion, he was probably trying to figure out what was happening. In the eyes of the rest of the camp he was my personal savor, risking his life to come an find me.

"What made you think that?" My tone dripping with sarcasm, Williams hands kept moving along the sheets. I pressed my hands angst the palms of his, extending my arms and guiding William's hands; to the point where our hands were barely touching the wall his fingers attempting to intertwine with mine, but I refused.

"Well, I didn't know where you went." His baby blue eyes scanning my new body.

"Really, you had no idea where I was." Anger bubbled inside me.

"Well, um no. I looked every where I could think of." He was starting to fumble with his words, I leaned forward.

"I bet you think it's over, but this is only the beginning." I whispered in his ear, leaning back to my original position. I felt a slight pressure on my leg, shocking at first but more embarrassing for William; him wearing sweat pants was proving to me that phase one of my plane was in effect. I got up and strutted out like I owned the joint, I turned around to see that William was still laying on the bed.

"This might be easier than I thought." I cackled, as I walked out into the cold world.
