I woke on Slick's shoulder. I must have fallen asleep. He was watching tv, but when he looked down he smiled.

"Look who fell asleep." He said. I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"Yeah. So?" I stretched my arms up. He chuckled and stood up.

"Where's the bathroom?" He asked. I pointed down the hall. I returned to my room, changed, bushed my teeth and hair and then returned and began making breakfast. Eggs, sausage, waffles and pancakes were made. But... Some of the pancakes were burnt.

"What's that smell?" Super Boy asked as he walked in.

"Breakfast." I said.

"It smells burnt."

"Beggars can't be choosers." I said flipping a pancake. He rolled his eyes, but he grabbed a plate and started filling it with food.

"Leave some for everyone else." Artemis said walking in. Superbly grumbled but stopped taking so many. After cooking I left to my room to get ready. I did everything that was needed and joined everyone else.

"The pancakes aren't half bad." Wally said.

"Conner, your drowning your pancakes!" Megan said takin away the syrup.

"Sheesh." He said. I ate some myself sitting on the marble counter, the table being taken up. Slick came back in new clothes, his hair wet. He sat next to me on the counter and I for a whiff of a kinda fruity smell from his hair. And it didn't smell bad. He was wearing a new black tee-shirt and dark blue jeans.

"Not eating much?" He glanced down to my plate.

"Nah." I said with a shrug. "I ate a lot last night."

"Your loss." He said taking another bite of food. The room was filled with laughter and loud voices, it felt good. It felt like home. But the mood changed wen White Raven walked into the room. The room became quiet and she grabbed a bowl and filled it with cereal.

"No pancakes?" Wally asked raising an eyebrow.

"I don't need lair-cakes." She said.

"Who peed in your cornflakes?" He asked. She ignored him and went back to her room. I explained why he was in a bad mood. They nodded and Artemis raised an eyebrow. We put our dishes away in silence.

About an hour after of trying I play catch up with school Green Arrow called us down.

"We thought you guys could use a break." He said. "Take a trip to the beach." We whooped and hollered and fist bumped the air. Even White Raven cracked a smile.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Go get ready!" We spend off to pack our bags.
