We spend a week searching. But I couldn't focus, my brain felt as if it was foggy. I was staring into space, when I realized that Artemis was calling my name.

"Rose!" My head snapped up.

"Hmm?" I asked.

"Are you okay?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah. Yeah." She still looked suspicious, but she continued talking.

"We found a relative area where we could find Slade, or anyone who works with Slade." She said to the group.

"Where?" I asked after a yawn.

"Are you sure your okay?" Slick asked, who was sitting across the table.

"Y-yeah." I said, the yawn still lingering in my throat. "So where is this place?" Artemis explained with a little too much detail, especially for my fogged up brain.

"When should we leave?" M'gann asked.

"Tomorrow sound good? Around four?" Everyone agreed. I glanced at the clock on the wall. Seven P.M, it was still kinda early, then why was I so exhausted.

"I'm kinda beat. I'm going to turn in early." I told Slick.

"Alright." He said. I left to my room, I left the light off and slipped into bed. Sleep sounded good right now.

It wasn't. I couldn't get any sleep with the nightmares I had.

"Murder!"

"Traitor!" Voices echoed in my skull.

"You left me to die!" A male's voice screamed in. My body felt as if it was slowing down, like it was on freeze.

My eyes snapped open. The man' words still echoed in my head.

"What is happening?" I asked myself.

I realized that I almost always have a time in a book where the chapters get shorter. If you read the first book, you know what I'm talking about. I suppose it is this book's time.
