Our Interview with Isabella

It is completely weird to know that amongst the other individuals, where people have colourful bloods, one stands out to have a blood whose colour is none, or in other words, COLOURLESS. And thus, hereby, we are talking to one of the most renowned authors on Wattpad, Isabella Spencer, a.k.a. elena123salvatore

Hello Isabella! Asking you our first question, what or who encouraged you to join Wattpad? When did you do so?

I'm not quite sure actually, my whole life I have enjoyed writing and communicating with people who enjoyed writing books like myself. From memory I actually stumbled upon Wattpad two years ago by myself, I was intrigued and it went on from there!

You indeed are precise with selection of words for your stories. But, we wish to know that what was the first story that you ever came out with? Were you pleased with it?

Obviously the very first story was just scribbling's from my four year old mind, but in all seriousness the first piece I probably ever wrote was a lengthy Third Grade English assignment. This piece is a very nostalgic one (yet presumably horrendous) that manged to achieve me an A. However if you're asking about my first book on Wattpad that's a different story. My first book was a comedy book inspired by my crazy best friends called 'The Worst Spies Ever', detailing a crazy adventure where my friends and I became the literal 'Worst Spies Ever'. This book is not currently published on Wattpad.

Great! Now, as an author, which part of the book do you find easiest to write? The hardest?

I find the introductions and beginnings are always the simplest to write. They generally just set up the establishments of the characters and story, therefore making it the easiest to plan out. Despite popular belief, I actually find the middle part the hardest to write. I find that the middle needs to be something extraordinary yet something that will move the story along, which often can become quite hard.

What's your favourite book, except Colourless. Was there another you enjoyed writing and sharing with others?

Well, my current book 'Bubblegum Queen' I'm finding my favourite to write so far. Due to its lack of Sci-Fi or Paranormal aspect, I feel like I can put in things that can make my readers truly relate whilst letting my imagination run wild. Not to mention I absolutely adore my main character 'Kat Spencer' (yes, her surname is the same as mine) and definitely find that I can relate to her.

Do you have any idol, whom you follow to succeed in your life? What is your most important goal, which you're working hard for, to accomplish it?

I have a long list of strong feminine idols that I aspire to embody to for many reasons outside of the writing industry. People like Michelle Obama, Joan of Arc, Audrey Hepburn, Jane Austen and Meryl Streep are just a few of the female heroines that I look up to. I wish to succeed in life whilst doing something that these women do to help others. Currently my most important goal however, would probably be just to excel in writing as well as pass through my studies.

Apart from writing, do you have any secret talents that you wish to share with us?

I pride myself in all of the work that I do in the Musical / Theatre area. I have already completed a total of 15 Musicals in my time, featuring Les Miserables (as the character Cosette), The Wizard of Oz (as the character Oz), Singing in the Rain (as a lead dancer), Fidler on the Roof (as the character Golde) and many more. As well as the Theatre, I enjoy boxing and competitive gymnastics (excelling in vault and bar).

If you were to travel to any part of the world, which place would be your first choice?

Definitely Sweden! Apart from being Australian, my mothers side of the family basically all live over in Sweden and I am very close to them. Travelling over there in the winter time would be a winter wonderland dream!

In your perspective, whom do you consider as the best author, on Wattpad or anywhere else? Is there any book series by the same person which you deeply admire?

I don't believe that there is or will ever be 'the best author', I think every Author brings something new to the table. Though that being said, within Wattpad I'm not quite sure. I have read so many books and series that I can't keep track! Though probably a standout for me would definitely be a trilogy by @MP13Girl , the first book in the series being Offenders as this was simply an amazing trilogy full of twists and turns. Outside of the Realm of Wattpad, my favourite series would probably be ALL of James Patterson's mystery/crime/thriller novels, I deeply admire the way with words that he possesses and how he delves into the minds of the criminals.

What are you working upon now? What is your next project?

I currently am working on two books - both currently uploaded on Wattpad - called The Secrets in the Woods and the second is Bubblegum Queen as previously mentioned. Once those books are complete, I intend to continue writing as I constantly have new story ideas whirring around in my brain.

Finally, if were to be chosen in any of the houses from Harry Potter, which one would you like to be in?

Presumably many answers would be Gryffindor if anyone was given the choice, however I would probably slot myself beside Draco in Slytherin. I'm not saying that I'm a bad person, and I don't believe that those are the qualifications for being in Slytherin, however I find that amongst my usually outright neurotic and bubbly tendencies, that I am someone who is strong-minded and will do whatever it takes to assure mine and my loved ones future as well as safety. I'm not trying to talk myself up here though! Believe me, I am generally a dulcet couch potato.

It was great talking to you, Isabella! May you always success in your future plans!

Thank you so much for this opportunity, it's been great! I wish you well in all of your endeavors.
